Baywatch Apartment is a spacious, self-contained. , air-conditioned unit attached to our home in quiet and peaceful residential area overlooking Westerhall Bay, with panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea. Only 20 minutes’ drive away from the Maurice Bishop International Airport, the beautiful capital city of St. Georges and the restaurants/shopping area of the famous Grande Anse beach. The beaches of La Sagesse and Petit Bacaye and Westerhall Point are even closer. Baywatch is only 200 metres from the main road that runs between Grand Anse/St Georges to the second main island town of Grenville. It is well served by public transport and there’s a well-stocked supermarket only 5 minutes’ walk away. The house has a large garden and plenty of space to park your car. Grenada is the largest of the three islands measuring twelve miles (18 km) by twenty-one miles (34 km). The total area is 133 square miles. The terrain is fairly hilly with the highest point being Mount Saint Catherine, at 2, 757 feet. Carriacou is less mountainous than Grenada, with an area of 13 square miles and wonderful sandy beaches. The climate is temperate and tropical with average temperatures ranging between 24C to 30C/ which is tempered by the steady and cooling trade winds. November to February are the coolest months. The dry season is between January and May and the rainy season is from June to December. However, even during the rainy season, it usually does not rain every day and often only for an hour or less. Grenada's population is about 93, 000 – its citizens comprising of African, East Indian, and European descent. The largest portion of the population is of African descent. The local currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar ($EC) which is linked to the US dollar at the rate of $2. 67 EC = $1 US. The Euro and British pound can be changed at local banks, but the exchange rate will vary. Grenada is one of the most beautiful and mesmerizing islands in the Caribbean with more than 45 beaches full of countless opportunities for adventure, snorkeling, or just plain relaxing. All beaches on the island are accessible to the public and open for all to enjoy due a government directive that access points must be provided. There are no nude beaches so be sure to bring your swimsuit. As well as the beaches, there are a host of other things to see and do on the island including an underwater sculpture park, diving, snorkelling, water sports, hiking, walking and visiting the many attractions such as the waterfalls, great houses and estates, distilleries and the natural phenomena of the rainforest and volcanic lakes.
