Our Team

We're lucky to have a really great team working on Tripping.com.

Jen O'Neal - Founder & CEO

Having grown up near Silicon Valley, working in technology always seemed like a given for Jen. She was one of the first employees at StubHub and then held senior management positions at venture-backed companies in Europe and Central America before founding Tripping.com. Jen graduated Cum Laude from UC Berkeley and - when not working crazy hours - can be found cooking with friends, reading good books and backpacking to new places.

Jeffrey Manheimer - Founder & COO

Jeff has deep experience in travel, having started his career as a tuxedo-wearing room service employee at the Hyatt in Cambridge. He advanced to Hyatt Corporate in Chicago and then ran electronic distribution for Expedia and then managed Sales at Travelzoo. Jeff graduated from Boston University and is a huge fan of deep sea fishing, winning ebay auctions and eating bizarre foods around the world.

Colin Gardiner - Vice President of Operations

Originally from Alaska, Colin made his way south to Oregon where he attended Willamette University. After graduating with degrees in Math and Economics, Colin moved to San Francisco where he worked at the Federal Reserve before taking the plunge into Tech. An avid ultrarunner, telemarker skier and fly-fisherman, Colin has travelled extensively in pursuit of these passions.

Danny Chi - Director of Engineering

Danny grew up in the sunny climes of Southern California before moving to the Bay Area to attend to UC Berkeley. The dot-com boom of the late 90's gave him the chance to work with computers. Starting with Plumtree Software, Danny has had the opportunity to work with both desktop and web products at Ask.com, Sendori, and most recently CBS Interactive. When he's not cheering on his Los Angeles sports teams, Danny has been known to travel to foreign countries to climb rocks.

Evan Waters - Director of Marketing

Hailing from the East Coast, Evan spent his formative years in the Garden State before studying economics at Boston College and The London School of Economics. When he isn't calculating marginal costs or being nudged by "The Invisible Hand", his love for travel and music festivals brings him all over the world. Favorite places worldwide? Egypt, Barcelona and Malta.

Carter Brutschy - Director of Finance

A Bay Area native, Carter has spent his career as a Financial Analyst at several retail and mobile app startups. While earning an Economics degree at UCLA, he played NCAA Division 1 water polo and served as the Team Manager, helping to lead the team to 3 NCAA titles. Carter enjoys all water activities, barbecuing with friends, and watching the SF Giants and 49ers.

Erik Blachford - Former Expedia CEO

Erik was on the founding team of Expedia, which kick-started a career centered around travel and technology. He ultimately became Expedia's President & CEO before running IAC Travel, where he oversaw online travel brands including Hotwire and Hotels.com. He's since been an active investor and advisor to several startups and he's now a Venture Partner at TCV. Erik graduated from Princeton University and received his MBA from Columbia Business School.

Fritz graduated with a BA from California State University-Fullterton and he also received his MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.

Dave graduated from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and the State University of New York at Binghamton.
