Da.Do House - Romans by 7 generations
DA.DO HOUSE is a holiday home, recently opened, completely renovated with every comfort and a great central location to reach all the most important points of the city.
-The opening of this property was authorized by the Municipality of Rome with …
nice apartment, comfortable, close to tram - 15 minutes from piazza Venetia. We appreciated a warm welcoming. Cristina and her husband provided very helpful informations ; shops are close to the apartment to buy veggies, fruit, and a little supermarket about 100m of distance. So it's easy to find all what we need to cook at home. Environment is quiet, a really nice place to stay and visit Roma.
The Owners went out of their way to make everything perfect. The apartment is a 20 minute tram ride to the center of Rome. The train to the Vatican is a 10 minute walk and one stop from where you get on. The Apartment has a chef's kitchen and is fully stocked with 2 bathroom one with a shower and the other with a great soaking tub. Super comfortable bed and great linen and towels. Thanks Cristina and Franchesco will definitely book again on our next visit to Rome.
We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage children. We were met on arrival by Cristina and her husband on Xmas Eve right out side the apartment. They gave us a tour of the apartment and the local area pointing out the tram/bus/train stops and shops/restaurants. The apartment was modern and very clean as per the pictures on the site. Cristina and her husband were absolutely delightful having set up a Xmas tree and purchasing us Some lovely Xmas drinks and eats to settle us in.The location was 20 minutes by tram to the centre of Rome, the tram stop is at the bottom of the street and easy to catch, the train stop is only 1 tram stop away with the train stop providing airport access and 1 stop to Vatican City. We had an amazing time and the apartment provided us with a comfortable and safe home base, we would definitely recommend and stay again.
Thankyou what a lovely apartment. The location maybe slightly too quiet for us but the tram was across the road to access Rome.Thankyou Lina Francessco and Christina.
The Da.Do House was wonderful. My travel partner and I stayed for 3 nights. The apartment is very clean and up to date. It had everything we needed and more. We loved the neighborhood and quickly learned our way about. We found a favorite caffe for our morning espresso, a market for some inexpensive vino, and lots of places for a quick bite. It was a short tram ride into the main part of town which allowed us to see another side of Italian life. The trams run frequently so no worries if you miss one. We also enjoyed being away from the hustle of the tourists in the evening, as the days are very filled with so much activity and people.
I'm already recommending this place to my friends and co-workers! I would definitely return.
Grazie ~ Thank you ~for letting us stay in your adorable apartment.
Our stay in this apt was exactly what we had hoped for. Very clean, plenty of space and a nicely appointed kitchen. We wanted to live like the locals for a few days. We knew we would be away from the touristy parts of Roma but we learned the #8 tram very easily. The internet worked very well too. Thank you Cristina for a wonderful place to stay we will always remember it!
We had an incredible stay at the DaDo House! Cristina and Francesco did an incredible job to make sure we were well care for and comfortable. Highly recommend this beautiful apartment!
The stay at the DaDo house was really nice.
We are pleased to be the first guests were Italian and to be able to express an opinion very satisfactory than renting.
The apartment has more than adequate space, it is well maintained, clean and equipped with every comfort needed to make our stay even more enjoyable, and the proximity of public transportation has allowed us to move comfortably and reach the center of the city with ease. The area full of shops, also allowed us to fulfill all of those needs even more banal everyday (spending ....).
A note of thanks also to you with discretion owners who have maintained contact and showed complete availability.
We recommend this location to anyone that if the opportunity occurs again, we would choose it again without reservation.
This is an outstanding property. Beautiful, comfortable, and well located. It was everything that was advertised and more. We were greeted by the owners and welcomed with a chilled bottle of sparkling wine. It does not get better than that.
Our family, 2 married couples plus one more adult, were very comfortable during our stay. There was a grocery store, restaurants, and espresso shops within easy walking distance. I even succeed in getting some items done at the cleaners one street over from the apartment. The metro is an easy walk and puts all of Rome at your figure tips.
I highly recommend Da.Do House to anyone going to Rome.
I arrived in Rome on a Sunday with my husband, two teens (15 & 16) and a massive migraine. Christina and Francesco met us at DaDo house and were as lovely as the communications leading up to our arrival. Though shops were closed in this residential area, Cristina, a physician, arrived with Ibuprofin in hand!
The apartment was well appointed and perfect for the four of us. With migraine gone, I prepared my first Roman meal for the family with ingredients found in the cupboards! The Simply supermarket just around the corner was convenient as was the shopping cart in the DaDo house! Tram No. 8 , just around the corner took us into Trastevere, and anywhere else we wanted to go. Traveling with two teens the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were very much appreciated - the pull out sofa was very comfortable. We appreciated the clean cotton linens, available down comforters and lofty pillows. Cristina was always available and made a wonderful recommendation for dinner at Da Claudio, walking distance from the apt.
The DaDo house was just what we were looking for - a great apartment away from the hustle and bustle of the city, all attractions accessible within minutes and the opportunity to live like typical Romans! We would not hesitate to come back! Thank you once again, Cristina and Francesco - hoping we meet again!
My family recently stayed at this beautiful flat in Rome. The owners went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. They personally met us at the flat and accommodated our change of arrival time. They gave us a detailed tour of the flat and ensured we knew how to work all appliances and the wireless Internet. They personally walked us to the bus stop and provided bus passes for us to use. They checked in several times during our stay and arranged a taxi for our return trip to the airport. If you want tp stay at an amazing flat and get a true taste of Rome this is your place!
Great apt in a 'real' neighborhood. Nice to stay in a non-tourist apt that was fully equipped. Grocery store was just down the street as wells the tram. Biggest perk was air conditioning especially after a day walking in traffic, heat and crowds! Highly recommend location, apt and Cristina and Francesco. They had useful tourist info ready when we arrived and helped with arranging airport transportation. Most excellent!
We stayed in Francesco and Cristina’s beautiful apartment for two nights while we were passing through Rome. The apartment is ideal for those with or without a car. In our case, we had a car and while we lost our way, Francesco was so kind to come and find us very quickly and lead us back to the apartment. We found free parking in the street which was great. Francesco and Cristina showed us around the apartment which was just perfect for us (two adults and three children). The apartment is very quiet in the Monteverde area which is just a tram stop away from Trastevere - the tram stop is just a few minutes away. We used taxis as we were short of time and all we had to do was call a taxi with Francesco’s phone (free calls provided by Francesco for calls in Italy) and the taxi arrived in three minutes on both occasions we called. The apartment itself is very comfortable, spotless, with an ensuite masterbedroom, another single room, and a pull out sofa bed in the living room. All the beds were so comfortable. While the weather had changed in Rome and outside the temperature was a sweltering 35 degrees celcius, the apartment was surprisingly cool and we only had to use the AC for a couple of minutes both evenings to keep things cool before going to sleep. All the windows had insect mesh screens which was a relief, so we could sleep in comfort knowing that there were no mosquitos in the apartment. The apartment had very fast wifi which was great for the kids who could use iPads. Francesco and Cristina have great taste and one felt very much at home in the apartment. It was also a very safe area, close enough to the centre but away from the hustle and bustle of the city which is what we wanted. We didn’t use the kitchen for cooking as we had too little time and wanted to eat out. If we had wanted to use it, the kitchen had everything one would need in terms of appliances, including a huge cooker/oven. Francesco and Cristina had left various tourist information leaflets; they had given us a map on arrival and they had other guide books if one needed on the bookshelves. We made it with our hired car to Fiumicino airport in less than 30 minutes from the apartment. - the route was fairly straight forward as we were able to reach the autoroute in less than 10 minutes. Overall we had a wonderful brief visit to Rome and we would be delighted to stay in Francesco and Cristina’s apartment again.
DaDo house is a fantastic property. The apartment was used until recently as the family home of the owners, and has a very upscale, yet comfortable feel. Everything was immaculate, in excellent condition, and there was clear attention to detail in every regard. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and lovely, the kitchen is impressive with it's professional range and every tool and appliance one might need. The living room/dining room are equally beautiful and comfortable, and as I spent almost three weeks sleeping on the pull-out sofa, I can attest to it's exceptional comfort.
My 11-year-old daughters and I spent 19 nights at DaDo house, and even had friends (another family of 3) come and stay for a few nights and we were all always very comfortable. There was always enough hot water, which can be a concern with a lot of people, and the flow of the home, as well as the quality of the windows, doors and walls meant we didn't feel like we were on top of each other.
The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful, we were treated like valued family members, not renters. Every possible consideration was given to our comfort and satisfaction, and Francesco and Cristina were fantastic about returning e-mails and phone calls about any questions or concerns, both before and during our stay. The consistently gracious treatment we received just added to the feel of an upscale hotel stay rather than a vacation apartment rental.
While not located in the city center, the apartment is an easy 15 minute tram ride into the center and all connections for bus and metro. There is a bit of a trade off in quality and space for location...you could stay closer to the city center, but then never get this level of refinement and space for the price.
This was my third time in Rome, and having stayed in the city center the first two times, for my family, DaDo house is a much better option.
A note about the neighborhood in which the apartment is located...while there is no question your are in a city, even though I was traveling alone with my daughters, I felt completely safe walking and riding the tram about the neighborhood day and night. At home we live in a rural area, so I was not certain how my "country mice" would do living like "city mice" for so long, but we were made to feel so welcome, by shop and cafe owners, as well as by the property owners, we quickly began to feel at home.
We absolutely plan to return!
This apartment was just what my friend and I were looking for in our first trip to Rome. The location was close to public transportation, and it provided plenty of space and comfort when we returned "home." It is located in a great neighborhood, with a gelaterie, pizzeria, grocery, and clothing store within a block. The place looked just like the pictures and the layout worked well for us. The Wi-Fi worked great to contact family back in the states, as well as research tours, bus lines, and restaurant hours and recommendations. Christina and Francesco were warm and gracious hosts, replying promptly to any questions and concerns we had. We traveled all over the city, but it didn't take long to find some great sights and restaurants close by in Trastevere. I highly recommend this property to experience Rome.
