We rented this place for our large family of 8 so that we could have a home base while preparing for our son's wedding in Sausalito. It couldn't have been more perfect! To answer the review tips and guidelines, the answers are YES times five! All you have to do is show up with your own clothes, toiletries and some food!
The upstairs bedroom has huge windows with a million dollar view, same goes for the main level. One of my favorite memories is seeing and hearing my son play the piano with the expansive view of the bay in the background.
It's a warm and inviting home with the most gracious owners! I would recommend eating at Avatar in Sausalito. Go ahead and lick your plate clean cause it's worth it! Then drive up Taylor, right by the house, and hike around Ring Mtn. Easy trails and beautiful views. There is nothing like vacationing in a place that feels like home away from home!
This house was the perfect oasis for the bridesmaids and bride-to-be for her wedding weekend in Tiburon. The house is beautiful and spacious and has plenty of natural light. Not to mention the homeowner was very responsive and accommodating to our needs.
We stayed at this beautiful home for a bachelorette party. The home was clean, the owner's were gracious, and the views were spectacular! However, the most overwhelming benefit of this house is its proximity to the town of Tiburon, San Francisco, and Napa. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon, picked up some great food and wine at a gourmet market down the road, and spent the evening in front of the fire catching up. The following day, we drove 5 minutes to the Tiburon-Angel Island Ferry and spent the morning walking around Angel Island. We hosted a reception for incoming guests in the spacious and tastefully decorated living room and then had a car drive us the 20 minutes to the bars of North Beach in SF. The following day, we took a car to Napa (50 minutes) and visited wineries and Oxbow Market. We returned to the house, prepared food in the well-equipped kitchen, and headed to Sam's in Tiburon. A cab home for 6 people was only $16. We could not have chosen a better property to enjoy our weekend!
My girlfriends and I just spent a lovely weekend at this beautiful home in Tiburon. The views are heavenly, the house and its amenities leave nothing to be desired, and the location is ideal for tooling around the Tiburon/Sausalito area. And as an added bonus the owners are warm and friendly, doing their best to assure a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this home to others.
The house's open layout and ample bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our large group of four couples. We had a wonderful time—and that says a lot considering it rained for nearly the entire duration of our four-night stay! The power even went out one night, but since the house was well-stocked with candles and flashlights (and everything else you would possibly need), we didn't mind in the least. Location was also pretty perfect, close to highway, grocery stores, and downtown Tiburon. Our only regret was that the rain prevented us from enjoying the spacious deck and hot tub, although we were still able to enjoy the views.
What a warm and peaceful place. We had an absolutely wonderful weekend here. We were immediately taken by the warm reception and amazing views from all over the house. The layout is very spacious and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom and huge deck in the back offered amazing views. This is a great location to quickly access endless attractions in the San Francisco area yet a very peaceful and private place to enjoy the views and relax. The Ferries are a great way to get around the area and see the sites. We took the ferry to Angel Island and the Tram tour around the Island which afforded the history of the Island as well as spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate. We would highly recommend this. Everyone in our group of 8 were immediately awed with the home and views and repeatedly said they definitely would like to return here again. Thanks Michael for sharing your amazing home.

Six of us ladies rented this lovely property for a weekend getaway from the city and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The owner greeted us upon arrival and offered us a quick tour of his home, located on a quiet private drive. He is a laid back gentleman with a great sense of humor and was helpful in offering up tips of where to go & things to do in the area...although we mostly found ourselves content with the view and sunshine that graced us on the wrap-around redwood patio. Just gorgeous!
The home is clean, comfortable & open, which is perfect for socializing. The kitchen has tons of space (open to the eating/living area) & is fully stocked with anything & everything you could possibly need. We were having such a great time that we didn't even turn on the tv, but we did take advantage of the ipod dock that connects to the stereo. The bedrooms are all a good size with comfy beds & french doors leading out to the wrap-around patio. There are 4 bathrooms with large showers (one tub) which made it helpful for everyone to get ready at the same time. We did venture out for a few hours to sit on the beach at Paradise Park, which is only a couple miles away–a cute park with grassy areas to play & pier fishing (i wish i had brought my fishing pole!). We spent our last night grilling on the patio and soaking in the hot tub overlooking the beautiful lights of the bay.
All in all, this place was exactly what we were hoping for and we loved it! I would definitely stay here again & highly recommend it. Perfect for a ladies weekend or get together with friends.
A group of us (5 couples) had a fantastic weekend in Tiburon. We had a great time grilling, using the hot tub and playing games. The home is spacious and the kitchen truly is fully stocked. There are 4 bedrooms so we were thinking a couple would have to stay in the den area of the master, but there's actually a pull out couch in one of the living rooms, so there was space for all of us. This home is lived in, with photos and books, so it feels cozy. We would love to come back!
We had a wonderful stay at the house- it was spacious, clean and all the arrangements were extremely easy. The pictures on the site are accurate, but perhaps don't even do the house justice. The views are stunning and the rooms are beautifully decorated- the house is a wonderful combination of elegant and comfortable. We had 3 kids and 6 adults, with more than enough room to relax and spread out. The owners made the rental process simple and efficient. If you are coming from out of town, or a local looking for a weekend getaway gathering place (like me)- this is a lovely and peaceful place to find yourself!
First, the description was accurate regarding the location, and layout of the home. It was great for sightseeing. It did not however, describes the amenities well. There was no place to put your clothes.
Was the property clean and well maintained. NO. When we arrived at 5 pm, they were still cleaning up from a party they had the night before. The bathroom on the second level was bad. When you picked up the rug, there was all mold under it.
The BBQ grill did not work as well as the outside heaters. The diswasher did not work properly also.
The owners did work with us to provide closet and drawer space.
For the price of the home, we were greatly disappointed.
We did enjoy the town of Tiburon and the restaurants.
We stayed here with 8 people (including 4 kids aged 8-12). The house was fantastic. Very roomy, outstanding kitchen, great bedrooms, amazing views. Beautiful location and easy access to San Francisco. The host was incredibly helpful and took us on a brief tour when we arrived. This was super helpful as he has a lot of insights on local sites and activities which, had we not talked to him, we would have never known about. Overall, a great experience. Would absolutely stay here again.
My family of five recently returned from an enjoyable 8-night stay at this home. The home is spacious with a sizeable kitchen and numerous windows and skylights that provide natural light. The kitchen is nicely stocked with cookware, pots, pans, wine glasses, etc so that you can easily cook at home when desired (and be sure to stop at Paradise Foods, a gourmet grocery store, located just five minutes away). There is ample seating in the living and dining areas as well as on the large outside deck. The owner is a longtime Marin County resident who is very knowledgeable about the Bay Area and can help with any tourist-related questions. The location is very close to the main highway in Marin but is on a quiet, secluded, private road. We had a wonderful time in Marin and enjoyed staying in this comfortable and well-maintained home.

My family rented this home as a gift to my stepdad and stepsister. We drove from Southern California and they came over from Napa. We wanted a place where we all could stay together. Seven of us stayed very comfortably in this home. We especially enjoyed the deck with the wonderful view of the Richmond bridge and the bay. Our weather was perfect. The home is very convenient to the Larkspur Ferry, where we caught the boat to go into San Francisco for the day. The owner was staying nearby and met us upon our arrival. This is his permanent residence which is rented out when the opportunity presents itself. We probably wouldn't have spent this much on this rental had it been just for our family, but since it was a gift, we did. I consider the view to be on the luxury level, but most of the home I would describe as homey and "lived in". I definitely felt as though I was swapping homes with someone. I would rate our weekend stay as excellent, but haved marked "good" because of the value.
The location was great. It is across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. It was a good launch point for a day in Napa Valley; a day in Sonoma Valley; a visit to Muir Woods; a visit to Point Reyes; and sight seeing in San Francisco.
The master bedroom has an incredible view. One of the bedrooms, however, is very small and has only a hideaway double bed. We had 4 couples, so the double bed was a little small. Thus you may want to take that into consideration if your group includes 4 couples. The dining room table was perfect for 8 people. There was a lovely living/sitting room also with incredible views, but we did not really have time to enjoy it.
The deck was also very inviting. We sat out on the deck several times and enjoyed wines purchased from our trip to Napa Valley. The hot tub was not warm when we got there, but that was quickly corrected.
One night we grilled steaks out on the deck. There is an incredible store called Paradise Foods (or Grocery) about 3 miles away. Their filets were about the best steaks any of us ever had. The kitchen has ample dinnerware and cookware to prepare meals. We ate breakfast in and two easy to make suppers (one was the incredible steaks), then ate out the rest of time during our excursions.
We chose the house option over hotels or bed and breakfasts because we were 4 couples that had been friends for over 25 years. We wanted to be able to sit around together and talk, sip wine and play some cards. The house layout allows you to do that in a relaxed comfortable setting.
The amenities were pretty much as advertised. Even though there are houses next door, you still feel secluded because of the trees. The views are definitely as advertised. The bushes etc could use a trim, so the scenery is easier to see from sitting on the deck, but it was still grand.
We met the owner and he was very cordial.
