Antonella was a super host; she was there to meet and greet us from an early arrival in from the US. She organized a car/driver to pick us up at FCO and that went seamlessly. The driver was waiting right outside customs and was also very friendly! Antonella ensured we were able to get connected to her Wi-Fi service prior to her leaving. The entire apartment was spick and span. It is very well laid out with plenty of storage. The location was ideal for us. We were visiting our daughter who is studying at the American University of Rome and her apartment was just a 10 minute walk, or one could hop on the tram for one stop and be there in minutes. The tram to the city is very convenient (3 to 4 minute walk) and runs on a very frequent and reliable schedule. Downtown Rome is about 15 minutes away on the tram. The Roma Trastevere train station to/from FCO airport is also just a few minutes from the apartment. Just 8 euros to the airport o/w. There is a supermarket on the next street, another great convenience. We didn't use any of the nearby restaurants, but had some amazing experiences in the restaurants in the area of Trastevere close to the river. Some amazing food at very reasonable prices, with great service. For summer travelers the apartment is air-conditioned! We positively recommend this apartment; it is super value for money and Antonella is a wonderful host! Come, stay, enjoy!
The apartment is very modern, very cozy and very convenient in Trastevere. The apartment is located away from the tourist areas so it was nice to live like Romans. The kitchen is extremely modern and functions perfectly! The internet WIFI is a little slow (but that is to be expected in Italy). The apartment is perfect for a couple on holiday and it's very easy to catch the tram number 8 into centro storico and the Trastevere train station is practically next door. With the windows closed you don't hear the trains and during the night the trains don't run anyways so they never affected our sleep. Everything is within walking distance (including the supermarket and bar) or reachable by tram (the tram comes almost every 5 minutes it seemed). This was a smarter and more comfortable choice than a hotel!! We really enjoyed our stay!!
My partner and I loved staying here. We had coffee and breakfast on the balcony every morning. It is right by the train station making it very easy to get to the apartment from the airport. It was also very close to the tram making it very fast and easy to see all of the wonderful sites. Even though we had our own technology the computer they provided was of great use to us. It was much faster that our own devices. The apartment was very clean and cozy. Antonella and Patricia were both wonderful and pleasant people.
If you are a light sleeper like myself, I would recommend bringing earplugs because you may be able to hear the train in the morning without them. My partner didn’t wear any and he had no problems.
I definitely recommend staying here and would like to stay at the apartment the next time I visit Rome.
The apartment was perfect for the two of us. We were able to make dinners, wash our clothes, and plan day trips (using the wireless internet). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. The shower is a bit small, but works fine. One small issue might be that the hot water heater is too small. Other than that, the location is great. We could take the train, tram, or bus very easily, or we could just walk to the heart of Trastevere easily as well. And having a grocery store across the street was perfect. We saved a lot of money by going there and buying food for the apartment.
Also, Patricia and Jesse were very nice and really helpful. If we had question about how to get somewhere, they were happy to give us that information. Patricia even made us some delicious pasta! The owner bought an iron for us too. That was not expected. Hopefully we can stay in the apartment again!
Hello Patrizia, Jesse and Antonella,
We are back at home now after an amazing vacation in Italy. It all started with our great stay in Rome at the apartment in Trastevere.
Patrizia - you were a great help to us during that week and we are really grateful. It was nice to meet you and Jesse.
Antonella - thanks for the lovely apartment. Maybe some day we will meet you and your family, too.

My husband and I stayed in this room from April 8 to 18. The property was very clean. The neighbourhood was nice and the public transportation very good. The room is part of a small apartment that was divided. The photos in the ad aren't quite accurate. There is no table with lamp beside the hide-a-bed (which is in dire need of a cleaning). The table has disappeared and the lamp is 6 feet over your head sitting on top of a shelving unit. There are no bedside tables or lamps. You have to balance the lamp on the arm of the hide-a-bed in order to read. The picture of the view from the balcony appears to have been taken with a telephoto lens but we didn't really care about the view. It was fine as is. It was the effort to represent the view as something it is not that surprised me..The kitchen, which has all new appliances, is not very well equipped otherwise. There are so few dishes and cutlery that you have to keep rewashing dishes. It reminded me of summer camp: this is your plate, spoon and cup for the next 10 days. There was one dull paring knife. There was one small sauce pan and a small frying pan with the non-stick material peeling off. In Italy we did not have a pot large enough to cook pasta in. While the wonderful neighbours made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible I did not feel right asking to borrow their dishes and pots.. They are fine people. On our arrival night after attempting to get wifi my husband tried to explain to the landlady that he had to have the advertised wifi for work. If we didn't have wifi we would have to go elsewhere. He was only stating a fact. After a conversation on the telephone my very patient husband passed the phone to the neighbour saying "I can't talk to this woman, she won't let me speak". The neighbour managed to calm the landlady and later that evening my husband was able to activate the wifi. Later in the week there was a problem with the heater which the landlady's husband attended to promptly. All in all I learned a good lesson: look VERY carefully at the photos and if the ad says 1 bedroom, thats all there will be, a bedroom. In spite of the cleanliness, neighbours and location, I would only recommend this room to a single or couple at a much reduced rent. In all fairness, this room is not good value for the money. I would not recommend this property to a friend or relative.
The apartment was exactly as described. We had thought we would be able to walk to the centre from here but it was a little further than expected; however, the tram trip was really easy and it was good to feel a bit less like a tourist; we shopped in the local supermarket, ate in the very good, friendly local restaurant and walked to and from the station really easily. The neighbours who greeted us on behalf of the owner were wonderfully helpful and kind and even cooked us a meal on our last night. The balcony was a bonus for eating breakfast and having our early evening beers on!
This apartment worked great for our stay in Rome. It was a little small, but we had already anticipated that and didn't plan on spending much time in the apartment. We wanted a place that was clean, safe, and easy to get to. We had a little bit of trouble finding it at first, but that was probably due to lack of sleep. The apartment is not in the center of Rome, but there is a train station, tram stop, and buses within walking distance. We were ok with a little bit of travel time to get a more reasonable price. The apartment was clean and had a few necessities supplied. There was a computer with Internet access that was fabulous for when we had to look things up. Antonella provided us with a bassinet and stroller for our baby and there was a pull out couch that worked great for our toddler. Antonella was more than helpful with giving us directions and she even set up a taxi for us. She also spoke excellent English which was a plus. Very happy with our stay in Trastevere!
