Serene Woodland Getaway in the City
Nestled on a quiet lane, deep in the West Seattle greenbelt, this grand old house is only a seven minute drive from downtown and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and services. Over recent years, this 1915 home has been lovingly updated wh …
A group of 6 women rented this house for a long weekend getaway. It was perfect for us.
There was plenty of room, lots of beds & a large dining room table for us to gather around. The living area had plenty of seating for all of us & the kitchen was arranged so that we could all move around in it at the same time. It was quiet but close enough to the airport and tourist areas downtown and the water taxi.
Looked just like the photos and was very clean. The owners were very helpful but made themselves scarce.
I would recommend a nearby restaurant; The Blackboard Bistro and a French bakery - Bakery Nouveau.
Would recommend this property.
We came to West Seattle to celebrate our grandson's 4th birthday. He loved exploring the backyard, watching the fish, and playing in the "secret hiding places" upstairs. We enjoyed the abundance of character and charm in this spacious home. The quiet location is close to wonderful restaurants, Alki Beach, West Seattle shops, and all the attractions of downtown Seattle. We would love to return when the weather is warmer to fully appreciate the spectacular backyard. We leave with many fond memories of our stay in this lovely home.
Our family hated to leave this gorgeous house. The furnishings are lovely and there is plenty of room for everyone. My daughter loved the goldfish pond and waterfall in the backyard as well as the secret hiding places upstairs. The location was great for exploring--Pike's Market, Lemay Car Museum, Point Defiance Park, Lincoln Park etc. but yet very quiet. We got to visit our favorite breakfast place Luna Park Cafe too. The fireplace was well used while relaxing in evening and the kids liked having the office to work on school work. Max & Janelle were so great to work with. We can't wait to come back!!
We truly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful location. We traveled to West Seattle to attend a baptism and join several other family members in celebration. This home was a perfect retreat with comfortable furnishings, room to spread out, and relaxed gathering areas. We appreciated the comfortable bedding, and the home felt very cozy for our winter stay. There was even a fantastic office which my son made use of as he studied for final exams. This home had everything we needed and then some. The location is quiet, the owners are very attentive, and we really relaxed there. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
So pleasantly surprised by the Fauntleroy home! Beautiful and modern and vintage all together. Our 3 generations of family for Thanksgiving immediately made ourselves at home. All modern conveniences with a short drive, everything you could need to nest at home. An amazing kitchen for the avid chef as well as a good viewing seat for the novice. Our host, Maxx was helpful with a heating malfunction. We look forward to many more Seattle visits and would highly recommend this lovely home to anyone planning a trip.
How great is 3049 Fauntleroy?
When we first saw it, we had to say "oh, boy!"
The house is the most wonderful place to see
We don't think there is a better place to be.
Our time here has been so great
It's as if coming here was our fate.
Thank you for such a great place to stay.
We had a wonderful time each and every day.
Thank you for welcoming us into this home that is great.
I am sure we will find a time to come here on another date!
The 3049 Fauntleroy house was a wonderful home base for our family's Seattle vacation. We loved the spaces - both inside and out. Everything was beautiful. We made memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us.
This place is very comfortable for large groups and we loved the serene back yard. We would love to stay here again if we make it back to this city.
Thanks for a wonderful week! Everyone fell in love with the house. It was a sanctuary amidst the wedding planning. Beautiful yard!
Had a great time. Beautiful house and outdoors?

Just two blocks to the beach (no hills),yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Alki Avenue.

We love dogs and welcome well behaved dogs of all sizes upon owner approval.
Our goal is to provide a comfortable, clean and quality experience.
This is a duplex and owners live in bottom unit. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and may not be used for large group gatherings.

A BUNGALOW IN THE CITY'S BEST NEIGHBORHOOD
Charming bungalow in Wallingford (less than 6 miles from city center) - one of Seattle's best urban neighborhoods, nestled between Fremont and the University District. The house is in a safe and quiet but vibrant neighborhood and is only a 10-minute drive to downtown locations such as Pike's Place Market, the Space Needle, several museums, Capitol Hill, Key Arena, both Safeco and Qwest fields, and to downtown ferries to Bainbridge Island or the Clipper to Victoria. It is only minutes away from the University of Washington Seattle Pacific University, and the zoo. Bus service is within blocks. Easy on-street parking.
The house is in a great walking neighborhood (WALKING SCORE 97/100!) - within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes, two movie theaters, a grocery store, banks, shops, and bars. Walk down the hill to the south to Gas Works Park on the northern shore of Lake Union with incredible views of downtown and the Space Needle. Or walk north to Green Lake, one of the most popular parks in the city with rental boats, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a city 9-hole golf course, community swimming pool, and a 3-mile walking trail around the lake. There are two wonderful playgrounds less than six blocks away, and a smaller one a half block away. There are two wading pools for young children: one about 5 blocks to the south and one at Green Lake.
The house was built in 1916 - it has a very private fenced-in patio, a nice front porch with room for two, a soaking tub in the master bath, and a large living room. All on one floor. Two bedrooms contain queen beds; a hide-a-bed in the living room can accommodate two additional guests. Hardwood floors throughout. Well equipped kitchen and linens. An ideal home for two couples to share or a family in town for a wedding, graduation, vacations, or reunions. For "unrelated" friends, a third, very small bedroom with a double bed is available for $50 extra per night. Let me know if you want this option. The limit of guests for the house remains at 6 total.
WiFi internet and flat screen TV with cable/HBO is included. A portable crib is available upon request.
