Tranquil Sausalito Getaway
Getaway from everything and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Sausalito. Our home is nestled up in the hills with a spectacular view, overlooking all of Richardson Bay. The weather is sunny and warm — we are minutes away from the Golden Gate Bri …
Wonderful place to stay with beautiful views and great rates. The owners were very helpful and provided very good information about San Francisco. WE would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting San Francisco or Sausalito.
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights and the only problem was that it wasn't long enough!! The property was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The view from the HUGE balcony space was perfect and it was a great area to hang out and drink wine! Sausalito is such a beautiful place and there are so many beautiful and fun things to do in all of the areas surrounding it. We took the ferry over to the city and had a great time! We will definitely be staying here again for our next visit to the bay area!
We spent two nights here, and loved it! We had no surprises, since the pictures very accurately show the Getaway. Its is very clean, and well maintained with a more than stocked kitchen.
The location is perfect. Though the walk back after a long day is a bit tiring, it's worth it. There are a couple of grocers near by, as well as shopping and restaurants.
The Ferry to San Francisco is also within walking distance, and a super easy way to get to the city with great views.
My husband and I stayed at the Tranquil Sausalito Getaway for a whole month. Prior to arrival I was anxious that it would not be as nice as the photos on the website. I did not need to worry. The apartment is absolutely lovely and has fantastic views. Everything we needed was there, including fresh coffee beans, a selection of CDs, toiletries in the bathroom and plenty of leaflets etc re. San Francisco, Sausalito and the Wine Valleys which were very helpful. We had lots of fires in the fire pit on the balcony and there was plenty of firewood available. The apartment was wonderful and I would definitely consider staying there again should we be in that area.
My wife and had a great visit at Sausalito Getaway. We walked to town everyday, ate in several local restaurants. One day we caught the ferry over to San Francisco. It was a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing and hiking. Thanks so much.We look forward to our next trip .
We had a fantastic short stay at this apartment in Sausalito to round off our trip to California. The apartment is exactly as pictured/described and we couldn't have asked for more. We particularly liked the tasteful decor and nice personal touches that made the place feel more like a home than a holiday rental. The terrace is amazing and the views of the bay absolutely wonderful. A great place for relaxing.
The apartment is very well-located for downtown Sausaltio, which is just a short stroll down the hill (altho the climb up is certainly a bit more challenging!)
Check-in/out was smooth as was the entire booking process. The owners were helpful when contacted with queries. Would recommend and would certainly stay here again.
I was planning a trip and was thinking we would stay in San Francisco, after talking to someone in Toledo about vrbo rentals and how he loved Sausalito I decided to check it out. It turned out to be the right choice. We were so happy to have a house with a great view and everything we needed provided for us. It was relaxing there, but we also found many activities to do with a short car ride or transportion in Sausalito. Muir Woods, Napa, Fishermans Wharf are all very easy to get to. For the most part we walked everywhere from the house into town. Short walk to Ferry Station to get to S.F. One day we rented bikes on our side, took the ferry over and rode them back over the Golden Gate, it was a great experience and a beautiful ride. Not only would I recommend the Tranquil Sausalito Gateway and would also go back again and again.
Very sweet unit with expansive deck and view of water. Sunlit living room. Pleasant, calm bedroom with comfortable bed. Owner was super in helping us to arrange a last minute reservation, very helpful. Would recommend!
This is our second stay here - very comfortable place with views of Richardson Bay. The place is clean and the kitchen well-equipped. The owner was very helpful, location great with a short walk to downtown. A great value
What a lovely place. Exactly as described and more. We initially rented the apartment for 2 weeks but ended up staying 5 weeks. We really enjoyed the fabulous bay view, the classy decor, wonderfully furnished and with interesting art on the walls and shelves, lush plants, a nice well equipped kitchen, a great deck overlooking the water with nice furniture and a huge comfy hammock. All was cozy, clean and well cared for. There were lots of little touches that made us feel very welcome and it was a very healing time for us. The owners were very friendly, helpful and responsive. (There was a little bit of sound from upstairs, but it didn't bother us much.) We walked to downtown a few times and that was very enjoyable and doable even though some of the hills are a bit steep and one has to be in decent shape to do this walk. Highly recommended : )
Our stay in Sausalito couldn't have been better. The weather was perfect, the view was fabulous and our hosts were completely accommodating. Dan made sure we had all of the china we needed as we were having a dinner party for a large group of friends. The kitchen and dinning/living areas are great for entertaining or just hanging out. Would definitely recommend this wonderful getaway. Great place, well located to restaurants, visits to S.F. or the Napa/Sonoma valleys.

Comfortable seating, large screen TV, DVD and DVR plus a gas flamed fireplace mean that summer and winter you can enjoy magnificent views or the best in entertainment from the comfort of your own space.
The house has two bedrooms separated by a bathroom. As I have fitted out the second bedroom as an office with a murphy bed, I limit guests to a maximum of two people.
