If you have a car, this is a nice option to a downtown hotel room. Apartment is fine, very comfortable and easy access to SF and points north. Visited Muir woods, which is just around the corner, and took ferry, which is fun and inexpensive. Kendra is professional and helpful.
WHAT A GREAT TIME and so lucky to never have seen any fog as beautiful as it is I only had a few days and wanted to maximize my visual advantages! It's like a place you would want to write a novel. The fireplace was just a quaint surprise to use and how it added to the space making you want to return time and time again... Will work on this!
The panoramic scenes of S.F. Bay from this property were mesmerizing! Binoculars left by the thoughtful owner were a fantastic addition. Each sunrise was a welcome surprise and every evening the light show from city, bridges & boats was a treat. Spent 5 nights, enjoyed pedestrian views of charming Sausilito, the marinas and neighborhood. Loved being able to walk to great retaurants and shops and the closeness of the ferry to S.F. (Who wants to park in the city?) Rented a car one day & drove to Pt. Reyes. This property made our trip so wonderful. Communications were prompt & helpful. Unit was tidy, fresh & nicely appointed. We slept well in the cozy bedding & could not get over how quiet it was, even when sitting on the balcony. Wonderful place, hope to return!
I was so picky when it came to looking for an apartment to rent. This one seemed to have it all based on the pictures they provided but you just never really know till you see it....I must say I was more than excited to see that it was just perfect. An AMAZING view. So amazing in fact that I moved the couch to have a view at all times (I hope they didn't mind). It has a fireplace to cozy up to when it gets cold. Fully stocked kitchen. Very comfy bed that made it hard to wake up in the morning. The market is just down the street so you can walk to get some groceries. You can walk to the town and the Ferry with no problem. We did it everyday. Oh. I forgot to mention that it has its own driveway which is almost unheard of out there so that was very convenient considering we have a pretty large pickup truck that is hard to park. I will definitely stay there next time I am in town. Thank You for the perfect place.
Breathtaking Views Prime Location This spacious one bedroom comfortably sleeps two and is a casual stroll to downtown Sausalito. If cooking is your want, the kitchen is fully equipped and the gourmet Golden Gate Market is less than a block away. Sausalito is often referred to as the California Riviera with its many boats, houseboats, restaurants and shops. It’s storied history of artists, famous musicians and eccentric characters make it a one of a kind destination. This recently remodeled one bedroom unit offers all the modern conveniences as well as spectacular views, a private deck and your free personal parking space. It’s proximity to San Francisco, hiking at Muir Woods, and swimming and tanning at Stinson Beach make this a vacation paradise
After getting off to a horrible start in San Francisco having our car towed to the tune of $550.00, we really needed to be wowed by our apartment and we were! The view, the view, the view......fabulous! Great proximity to shops and restaurants being just an enjoyable 10-15 minute walk along the waterfront causeway. Loved the clean lines and uncluttered feeling of the apartment and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had no problem with the stairs up to the apartment, but if you can't do stairs, it wouldn't work for you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Sausalito and the surrounding area and to folks who like to walk, run, bike and be outdoors. Just do some research on parking in SF before you go. I wish I had.
had a great stay in my 1st VRBO experience....apartment was nicely (IKEA) furnished....views were terrific....proximity to main part of town was just what i was looking for (about 1/2 mile walk to beginning of town center & ferry)....owner was most accomodating....felt that the quid pro quo (ie what i gave for what i got) was most reasonable and rationale....nice local market 1 block. great place for single or couple. new restaurant, Barrle House, quite good (better than i expected)....i kayaked w/group at vendor located at town beach....Driver's Market and Cibo also good places for good food.

The apartment's first floor location is great for our wise elders who prefer not to climb a lot of steps. Although we are next to some fabulous hills for climbing and walking, the apartment itself is in a flat valley area ... near 27th / 28th Street and Dolores Street, so you can more easily walk to nearby shops, cafes, grocery stores, banks, the post office, and transit stops.

Your reservation may include SF Muni / BART Public Transit Passes and / or limited driveway parking for a car (no more than 200 inches long). Use of the Guest Bicycle may be included, too. We will set up a pricing package that fits your transportation needs.

The En Suite Laundry Room ... with full-size washer and dryer, iron, ironing board, and drying racks, is a luxury in the city. The bath features organic cotton linens as well as all natural shampoo, soap, conditioner, and more. The kitchen has every convenience include Dishwasher (!!!), Programmable Coffee Maker, French Press, Coffee Grinder, Microwave, Blender, Mixer, Toaster, Stove and Oven, Refrigerator & Freezer .. all the usual kitchen implements and plenty of extras. In Jan. 2014, we added a brand new Fisher Paykel fridge. If something is missing, just ask us! We're right upstairs.

The Queen Size Bed + European-style sleeper sofa, with organic cotton linens, will sleep 2 adults, plus children age 10 and under. The Queen bed is "oops slept til noon" comfortable, so watch out! :) The sleeper sofa is comfortable as well; just add the memory foam mattress topper for a dreamy guest bed. For our smallest visitors: Crib, High Chair, Baby Bath Tub, Playpen, and more, available on request.

Our garden was re-landscaped in 2013, with lush plants, fountain, and outdoor lighting by Daniel Gregory of Austin's GardenLAB. We've got a South-Facing Backyard Patio in one of the sunniest parts of the city, with plenty of seating areas. So go ahead ... relax outside and get an extra dose of Vitamin D. The backyard (total size, 25 feet x 50 feet) has views of Redwoods and Palm Trees.

The neighborhood is ideal for a romantic getaway for couples, a quiet retreat for business travelers, or a cozy hideaway for families. Enjoy the architecture of Noe Valley and stop to admire the gardens along the way, as you stroll to the neighborhood's shops, cafes, and restaurants.

We are a 10-15-minute (very flat) walk from the BART regional rail line (underground). The BART ride is 4 minutes to Civic Center or 8 minutes to Embarcadero station downtown. Jeff and Rachel (the owners, who live upstairs) walk to the BART train station every day, to go to work.

We're also an easy, 5-minute walk from the J-Church Muni light rail line, which takes you on the scenic route to Dolores Park, the Castro and downtown. The J-Church ride is 18 minutes to Civic Center or 24 minutes to Embarcadero station downtown.

From our guest apartment, it's easy to get downtown for conferences & conventions ... and the sightseeing favorites: cable cars, museums, Chinatown, Union Square, Little Italy, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf ....everything our fair city is known for.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our guest apartment, SF Vacation Hut. We want you to enjoy a perfect stay in our favorite city. We provide each of our guests with a warm reception, including your choice of welcome beverage (bottle of Napa Valley wine, or a sampler six-pack of local microbrews, or non-alcoholic choices), fresh flowers & chocolate, maps, guide books & more.

Please check our calendar for available dates. We normally book reservations of 1 month or more. Previously, the S.F.
