I had a great stay at this studio overall. Plusses are: it's in the centre of San Francisco. Shops are nearby, MUNI and BART are nearby (cable cars too). SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Gardens are a 10 minute walk away. Cinemas are close by. The studio itself has a good bed, toilet, shower and bath, kitchen. It has enough space for one person. For two it's a bit small (especially if you're tall like me). Internet and tv worked perfectly. Water is always a good temperature. And it has an oven, microwave, stove, pots, pans, iron, etc. Minuses: it's very noisy, especially if you have a room at Ellis Street. Lots of sounds (hollering of bums, sirens, garbage disposal noises from the Hilton hotel across the street, etc.) that will definitely wake you up at 7 am (if not earlier). The windows are not isolated very well, so think about that if you go there in the winter. The studio is at the border of the Tenderloin. There are many panhandlers asking for money. It never felt dangerous, and it's part of living in a city like SF. But if you don't like this kind of thing then maybe this is not for you. But overall: a nice stay!

This is a very cosy studio in a great location. My wife and I stayed here for a month while we looked for somewhere to live permanently---we were sorry to leave! Host was very friendly and helpful, was always quick to respond to questions and process payments etc.

Loved the room, it was clean, comfortable and everything was working. Spent a wonderful month working and living there. The neighborhood isn't as sketchy as some may make it out to be (or they only lived in suburbia all their life.) and the location is very nicely situated near Union Square, major hotels, and a little further away SOMA.

Clean, comfortable and the staff was very kind and easy to deal with -- prompt attention to requests, close to Union Square but immediate surrounding area a little "edgy" at times but part of the vibe of SF. Woud reccomend over and over again though!

      THE PLACE
You be renting the master bed/bath in my own apartment. It is a fantastic modern view property midway between the Castro and Cole Valley. Enjoy spectacular views from the living room/dining area/kitchen level. You will have your own master bedroom and private bathroom on a separate level from the rest of the flat, plus share full access to my gourmet kitchen, living and dining space. Included is wireless Internet and for long stays; maid service every two weeks.

Your room downstairs is a big and roomy, light-filled space with a queen-sized bed, two night stands, a table and two chairs to work or eat on, book shelves, a comfy reading chair and a closet with hangars, an iron and ironing board plus an extra twin sized foam mattress for children or that third guest. The all-marble bathroom, two steps off the bedroom, has a great shower with lots of nozzles. Towels and sheets are provided.

      HOUSEHOLD
In addition to your host John, You'll be sharing the house with flatmate Matt and when I'm traveling I rent out my room so there will be up to two other guests. Finally there is my adorable dog, Finch, who prefers guests to me, (I guess there's no mystery left in me) he may insist you throw a ball or pet him. I do accept pets on a case by case basis, ask me if you are traveling with pets. We are open, kind unbiased people, straight and gay friendly; I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories and look forward to having you stay.

      LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION
Location and access to public transport are very easy; there are two bus lines right on the corner, going downhill the 33 takes you to the vibrant Castro, the Mission district, Bart, and Portrero hill. Going the other way it takes you to the Haight (old hippy hangout), Golden Gate park and the Richmond district. The 37 bus downhill takes you to the Muni underground at Castro and Mission, the Castro, the Safeway on Church then back to the Haight.

Easy access from the airport; the Bart train plus one bus ride takes you right to the front door.

      PARKING
Parking is easy to find and free in our neighborhood. In most parts of the city, you must have a sticker to park more than a few hours. Here you don't need a sticker and you can park your car and leave it all week, the only restriction is it must be moved for street cleaning two hours per week. Signs are clearly posted telling you the times for street cleaning.
