Top floor flat, sunny & bright in a great neighborhood
I do not advertise on Craigslist.
We have a wonderful second floor apartment with two bedrooms, 1 large bathroom, great open layout kitchen, living room, dining area, sun deck with views of the neighborhood, hills and bay. The apartment is light …
The house is located in a pretty quiet neighbourhood, public transport is nearby and a few blocks away you'll find everything that you need (bars, supermarket and so forth).
The flat itself is spacious enough for a couple of people, the bathroom is awesome with a nice shower. The whole flat was very clean and it makes you feel like home. The beds are comfortable and after a long day in the city you look forward to it.
The kitchen offers everything that you need.
The owner, Wendy, always answered any questions I had very fast and patient, that was very helpful during our preparation.
Brochures and flyers are lying in the hallway, so you can get some ideas if you don't know what do to...if that's even possible.
This flat is great, it exceeded all of our ecpectations. We had a great time in San Francisco and this flat was part of it.
If we want to visit the city again, this place is the place to be.
Casa Feliz was everything we wanted and more. We had been travelling for 4 weeks and this was the home from home we needed. The flat is spacious, clean and well appointed with a really well equipped kitchen. We loved the shops and cafes in Noe Valley. We didn't use the car at all and found the public transport easy and convenient to get everywhere we needed to go.
The apt was clean, fresh and very spacious, well stocked and in a nice neighborhood. It was modern and up to date...it was very pleasant
My god this place was awesome! The house is located in Noe Valley which is a thriving safe neighborhood in San Francisco. You can take public transportation to anywhere in the city and be there in minutes. The house is immaculate, not a single dust particle when we arrived, fresh sheets, clean towels, clean kitchen, just a pure pleasure. The owner, Wendy, goes out of her way to make sure that all of your needs are met. She wants you to feel at home when you are there and will help you with directions, recommendations and will suggest things to do. She is a native after all and knows every square mile of San Francisco and all it offers. The price is more than reasonable and in fact it is quite a steal for the neighborhood that you get. If you are looking for a San Francisco vacation rental, you would be a fool to pass this up!
First of all, thanks Wendy for the opportunity to stay in this cozy, comfy place. Right from the start, the owner was quick to respond and everything went very smoothly. It felt like home as soon as we walked in! The area was within close walking distance to Whole foods market and the many shops of 24th street. We didn't have to take the car for most of the stay which was a week. Public transport was simple and quick. We are in good physical shape so the hills weren't a problem. We also made ourselves right at home by cooking our meals at dinner, so didn't get to any of the local restaurants except for one night we ate at a Mexican restaurant on Castro, but the name escapes me. The beds were super comfy with great mattresses. The bathroom is HUGE and very bright with a great shower. In the living room is a nice flat screen tv and nice big sofa and huge chair with foot stool. The kitchen had everything you needed with modern appliances and quite spacious. We also thought the location was great, on a quiet street so we could keep our bedroom window open at night and enjoy the fresh air, also parking was not a problem on the street. There was air conditioning, so if we needed it, it was there. Outside was a back deck which was sunny with some views of the water. When we return to San Francisco, we would love to stay at Casa Feliz again.
Went on a pre-bachelorette, bachelorette getaway with a few gal pals
and had the absolute pleasure of staying at Casa Feliz!!! It was so
lovely and comfy! Felt like we were right at home!! It was close
to everything we needed to get to and just far enough away to feel
like we could relax outside the hustle and bustle. Bay To Breakers
was happening so it was nice to have a bit of an "oasis" amidst all
Maps, guides, "how-to" instructions on everything in the flat made
everything so easy!!
Wendy was an absolute doll and so patient and helpful!! We won't be
staying anywhere else when we visit again!! Thank you for
I spent a week at Casa Feliz with my business partner. We called the trip "leisure business" because we had plenty of time to see the sights.
The wifi and laundry (in the basement) worked out great. As we were traveling on a budget, we did a lot of cooking in the apartment. There's no shortage of great markets in San Francisco so don't feel like you have to buy everything you need at Whole Foods (aptly known as Whole Paycheck).
Everything was incredibly clean. The style of the apartment is a mix of old and new. You can tell things were recently remodeled with a modern flare but some original bits (all the doors slide into the walls, neat old weighted windows) remain. The bathroom is huge and has a standup shower. At first you think - weird, it's big enough for a tub or for something but by the end of the week, I fully appreciated the shower (which has the world's greatest shower-head) and all the space to hang towels.
The location was great. We had a rental car and had no trouble finding parking on the street within a block. The apartment is located about halfway up a "san francisco hill". If you walk up and over the hill, you're in Castro. If you walk down the hill, you're in the shops of Noe Valley. We started day one off by walking from the apartment to the top of Twin Peaks. The one thing to keep in mind is that you're about a 20 minute drive from downtown, china town, golden gate bridge, lombard st, and golden gate park. All those locations are about a 30-40 minute MUNI bus ride. I've come to the conclusion that no matter where you are in San Francisco - everything is about 20 minutes or less away.
We had incredible weather while we were there (65 degrees and sunny every day for the whole week). We spent a lot of time on the back porch. The apartment has two sets of big doors that open from the kitchen and living room onto the deck. The deck has a great view of the city.
Nitpicks: The lawn is a bit unkept behind the apartment. The garbage/recycling bins for the kitchen are on the outside of the kitchen "L" which makes food prep a bit interesting. The apartment had most of the amenities with the exception of a bar of soap of in the bathroom (it didn't really dawn on me to bring a bar of soap for the shower so I ended up at Walgreens which is right down the street).
All told, I'd stay there again in a heat beat. For the price, you can't beat the beautiful Casa Feliz.
I have been to San Francisco several times, always staying in hotels. I decided to try a vacation rental for this trip since there were three of us. What a great decision that was! I have been using Home Away for quite a while, worldwide, and have never been dissappointed; Cash Feliz is now my Home Away from home for all future visits to San Francisco!
Both the condo, and parking, are easy to locate. On street parking is plentiful: we parked within a block of the unit. Once parked, we used public transportation, a short two block walk from the front door and very easy to navigate. If you need more information about the public transit system you can ask anyone, anywhere -- San Francisco is a very welcoming city and everyone wants to help. Once you are in the system, you can get just about everywhere very easily.
The neighborhood was wonderful. It was very walkable, very quiet, and very easy to navigate. The owner sent us a fact sheet containing restaurant recommendations and they were all very accurate. The local strip with the new Whole Foods grocery store is 24th street, a few block walk from the condo.
The condo was very clean, very roomy, and the kitchen and bathroom were just dreamy! Everything you need to cook, including an electric water boiling kettle, are waiting for your arrival. The bathroom linen were luxurious. The bed was outstanding. The back deck was a very welcome treat. All of this in a very quiet and safe neighborhood.
The owner is great! The communication was timely and accurate, and my security deposit was very quickly refunded.
You will not be dissappointed with Casa Feliz, it is a lovely condo in a great location with an outstanding owner.
Our married friends and my husband and I thought checking out a new city as a group of almost thirty-somethings would be a fun thing to do before having kids. We chose Casa Feliz because of its advertised location and other good reviews and are so glad that we did! Wendy is an excellent communicator - always very quick with her responses and thorough in her instructions. We found the apartment with ease, taking public transportation the entire way. Check in was a breeze and the apartment is exactly as pictured: enough room for 4 and tidy. The neighborhood is full of character and exciting things to do - I'd highly recommend visiting "Anchor" (an oyster bar in Castro) for dinner and also "La Boulange" for lunch (and no, that's not an error - it's how it's spelled). Both were about an 8 minute walk away. The Muni stop is right next to the bakery. Noe Valley is a charming neighborhood with Edwardian style houses (who needs the Painted Ladies?!) and tons of quaint little shop ranging from clothing to antique knobs. We were there for 5 days, and did everything from staying in to watch movies after shopping at the local Organic foods store to being away all day. Our belongings felt very secure there as the neighborhood is very quiet and well maintained. After seeing many other neighborhoods in San Francisco, this remains my top choice. We communicated with Wnedy after and also very promptly received our deposit back without any fuss. An excellent host! Very happy with Casa Feliz and would highly recommend.
My husband and teenage son stayed for 11 days at the end of June and we had a great time. The apartment is great, sunny, bright, clean & uncluttered. The kitchen is well laid out-one night I reluctantly cooked dinner and was pleased to find out that I had all the utensils pots and pans I needed. The beds were comfortable, the towels were plush (these things are very important to me) There was a big TV, but we were really never there to watch it other than catching the weather report for the day.. Really good neighborhood, easy to walk down and do a little shopping & catch a coffee. Also, very close to transportation-4 blocks walking was a breeze. In any case, five stars from us. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to SF.
Visited here in the beginning of June and stayed for a week with my husband and daughter. There was plenty of room, the apartment was very clean, the bathroom is gigantic I think because there is no bathtub and it leaves a big space in the room, the beds were very comfortable, the layout was easy to live in, the deck was great-although we didn't get to us it much since it was cold and foggy outside..the heater worked well though! ;) Very nice place that I would recommend to families traveling with older children or as an adult getaway. Oh and the neighborhood...stellar! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much Wendy & Casa Feliz for a great week in SF.
