Stylish and Comfortable Luxury Condo with 180 Degree Views
Enjoy the ultimate city-living experience during your stay in San Francisco. This beautifully furnished, vibrant condo has all comforts of daily life. You would forget you weren't home if it weren't for the fabulous 180 degree views of San Franc …
We were very happy staying in your lovely apartment and just loved the views over the city with the bay in the distance. When the weather was cold and rainy we felt so snug and content we didn't want to head outdoors but still felt connected with the world. Thank you very much.
The property was excellent! We were able to travel and access city transportation quickly and we thought the condo was really comfortable! I would really recommend staying here! I had reservations about staying here because I didn't want to rent a car but we could very easily get to the bus line (road the 47 muni to fisherman's wharf). Great introduction to the city and we would definitely stay here again!
To follow another reviewers style I will start with the good ......the flat is quite pleasant with stunning views but unfortunately that is where the good ends.
The bad - whilst the area is served with good transportation it is in a very unpleasant area - on the edge of tenderloin. Walking around the area at night is not pleasant so we spent a lot of money on cabs - would have been more economic to spend more money on a flat in a more pleasant area.
The ugly - the flat was dirty - it for sure had not been cleaned. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dried food on the kitchen counters and food debris over the carpets. The bed linen was crumpled and stained leading me to think it had not been laundered. The pillow was completely disgusting with brown sweat stains and I wish I could add a photo - I have certainly shown friends the photo we took and they were appalled. There was no delineration between what space was for paying gusts and that of the owners. In fact the owners extremely personal belongings were on display!
The high fee for the cleaning suggested that might amount to 8 hours of cleaning, perhaps 8 minutes was spent. The owner refunded us a token and frankly insulting amount for the lack of cleaning but my advice is spend a little more and get the real deal.
We booked this apartment through Lingsch Realty for a week in early September. Prior to booking, I have to say, I found the agent a little difficult to get hold of – I tried to call a few times (leaving messages) but my calls were not returned – emails appeared to be more effective.
When we arrived, the doorman had the apartment keys – everything was really easy. The apartment was great, although I have to say I was a little put off by the fact that there were clothes, toiletries and food belonging to the owner in the apartment, it made me feel a little uncomfortable-like the owner had just popped out to get groceries! Like a previous reviewer, I found there weren’t enough towels, also, although the listing states that a starter pack of soaps/toilet roll is included, we saw no evidence of that, plus there were only a few sheets of toilet roll! It’s not a problem at all to not have these things, but I think if they are listed then they should be there.
The apartment itself is really big and has everything you need for your stay in San Francisco, plus, there are laundry facilities in the basement which is great (although no drying rack -this would be a useful addition!). It also has a big balcony with great views of the city.
In terms of location, it is slightly out of the way (but what do you expect for the price?!) but to be honest it’s nice and quiet, and it’s really easy to walk to all the local sights from. There were a couple of streets that we wouldn’t recommend walking down (towards the Civic Center) but the majority were fine. We didn’t find a lot in the way of bars/restaurants nearby, but there are plenty of stores where you can buy groceries and beer, and there are quite a few bars and restaurants on Sutter Street, which isn’t that far away.
Overall, I think it was a great little find; really big and very comfortable, and we would definitely stay here again.
The Good, the bad and the ugly. First the good, The location is perfect for everything we wanted to do. The unit is very nice with great views of the city.
the city busses were across the street so transportation is no problem at all.
the weather was perfect during our stay and we visited many of the local attractions using public transportation.
The bad included a terrible bed. I felt like I was falling off because it is so broken down. The place could use a deep cleaning. Not enough towels for an extended stay and no wash cloths. The unit had no coffeemaker.
The ugly is the deposit that was required promptly but was slow getting returned. Agent claimed she forgot. The building manager claimed the parking is free but we were charged for parking.
I see there has been some changes made to the listing since we stayed there which were needed.
With just a few more changes this place could be perfect
This is a brilliant apartment for visiting San Francisco. We stayed a week whilst attending a wedding in the city, and did some sightseeing at the same time. It is handy for buses and taxis, although we prefer to walk, and this wasn't a problem. It is in a good location and there's plenty to visit in all directions. The view is fantastic, and the apartment very spacious. The photo's do not do it justice. It is very well equipped and comfortable, although I agree that the bed is soft, having said that I have a bad back and amazingly didn't suffer with it. Would highly reccommend. Great place for the price.
My husband and I recently stayed here for a week. It's a nice place in a good location. We paid the extra for parking which was well worth it. If the opportunity arises, we would definitely stay here again. It's a great option for people wanting a nice place, privacy, security, and are on a budget.
The condo was very charming and practical for our needs. The description was very accurate. We loved the location in San francisco, close to everything, entertainment, parks, and especially city transportation. Made getting around the city easy. We had a great time at golden gate park on Thurday night at the science museum, The jazz fest. on Filmore was a lot of fun. Thefireworks in the bay were enjoyable. Resturants were good. The Warf was fun for a half day. Walk up to Coit tower is challenge, Salsileto was a good walk and the hike at Tamalpias was fabulus. See you next year to do the rest. I would recommend this home to friends and family. PS The bed was a little soft.
