Lovely Garden Studio with Easy Access to All Sf Attractions
We are so centrally located that you can literally be anywhere in San Francisco in less than 10 minutes. Catch a bus or taxi, drive a car, or better yet just walk. After a long day sightseeing come home to your cozy home-away-from home and have …
Thanks once again to Kate and Denny for a great San Francisco experience. The studio apt. was great--comfy and spacious. After having been on the road for awhile, it was nice to walk to very good and convenient stores and cook some meals. The kitchen worked well for that. Parking was free and easy just down the street and we left our car there for three days. We could easily get everywhere by bus or by walking and Kate was very helpful in orienting us to the neighborhood. The neighborhood restaurants were also great and we started to feel like it was our neighborhood too. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay there again sometime!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, had everything you would need, and was in a very nice location within the City. There is a City guide in the apartment, prepared by the Owner which had some great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We would definitely stay here again!
We just returned from a fantastic 5 night stay here. Kate made our stay perfect. She is an absolute gem and it felt like we were staying with family. The condo was excellent--great location, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer for your convenience, and an incredible price for a San Francisco vacation. We loved sitting in the garden with a glass of wine after a long day of sight seeing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I'm ever in the area. I will also be telling all of our friends and family to stay here when they visit. You will not regret staying here on your San Francisco vacation. Thank you Kate for making our trip so wonderful!
I stayed at this place for 5 nights and had a great time. The payment and check-in process was very easy and smooth. It's clean, cozy, and comfortable. We used the kitchen a lot and everything is functional. A cute heater served us well in the morning and night. I would definitely recommend the place to others.
This studio is decorated so well and such a delightful to return to for relaxing after a long day. Kate makes sure your stay is comfortable and very helpful with travel tips. The neighborhood is so nice and convenient to the sights of the city. The apartment has a large comfortable sectional, great bed and full kitchen. Large shower in bathroom. Very reasonable. You will be thrilled with this place!
This is a VERY clean rental and the location is excellent. Kate, the owner, was easy to work with and we appreciated her ability to secure our short-notice reservation even though she was going to be out of town. The rental is on the small side, however, it is well-laid out and perfect for 2-3 people. It is decorated very nicely and has nice light coming through the windows where you can view birds in the trees and bushes outside. It looks down on a beautiful and private back patio (which we didn't use but it looked to be very nice). The kitchen is a good sized with a full refrigerator and stove which made it easy for cooking our meals. It does not have a coffee grinder which was difficult since we had brought coffee beans but fortunately we were able to borrow our daughters while we were there (we did, however, get a delicious cup of coffee the first morning at Blue Bottle Coffee which was not too far away). The rental does not have any spices (other than salt & pepper) so it would be a good idea to bring what you need while you are there. Also, there wasn't any bar soap or shower gel (there was liquid hand soap on the sink) so we did have to go out and buy some so we would recommend bringing your own soap for the shower. Parking was easy to find in front of the rental on the short street except for on Saturday night but we were able to park down on a different street not too far away so it really wasn't a problem (it is by far the best parking situation we have ever had when staying in San Francisco!). The rental was cold when we arrived on Friday night (which other people have commented about) but the electric fireplace works wonders and heated up the rental quite nicely. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we would definintely stay at this rental again!
Kate was a very welcoming host and said I could call her anytime! However, I wish some more info was provided right at the beginning so that I wouldn't have to call her so much with questions. I also wish we have two sets of keys - it would have been helpful.
Overall a nice place, VERY clean, cozy, well decorated studio.
- supermarket a few min walk away
- number 31 and 5 buses are very close and comes frequently
- walkable to the golden gate park if you are a walker!
- washer and dryer - which were life savers since we packed light and had a baby!
- very comfortable main bed (slept there w my baby and slept very very well. I want the same bed for my home!)
- sofa bed was uncomfortable - my husband ended up sleeping on the floor instead since we didn't all fit into the main bed with the baby
- very cold - but it's not Kate's fault, it's a first floor apartment and SF in general was colder than I thought. Electric heater was available for use.
- wi fi was a little spotty - we got good wifi at one corner of the apartment only. Had to go to nearby starbucks (just a few min away) for better internet for work stuff.]
- no windows in the kitchen
I would stay here again if I am coming alone or with my baby, but not as a whole family since the sofa bed was not very comfortable.
PS If you enjoy great food, try walking to the Asian restaurants on Clement Street in Inner Richmond. We had amazing dim sum there (and my husband is chinese) and the Burmese restaurant is supposed to be great too. A taxi driver told us about the clement street, and we loved it.
As a frequent traveler (at least twice a year) to San Francisco, I typically stay with family but was overjoyed with the experience of this studio rental. Kate was a very kind and lovely host and her garden studio could not have been more enjoyable. Traveling with 2 small children, we found our stay comfortable, impeccably clean, relaxing and warm. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing place to return too after a busy day in the city. The kitchen (although not put to use during our stay) had everything you would need to feel at home. Both beds were very comfortable and warm. Thank you Kate for such a lovely and new experience, for a familiar city!
Kate was awesome! It's clear that her goal is for her guests to have a wonderful time staying at her place and exploring San Francisco. She does not treat you like a tenant, but really more like a family in town. The pictures on her page don't do this place justice. It's wonderfully decorated and super clean. I have many pollen and pet allergies so I very much appreciated how clean her place is. For us, what really sets Kate apart from other owners is that she doesn't ask you to clean up or load the first batch of laundry before checking out. We didn't have to waste any time on the last day of our stay to clean the flat. That really made a huge difference for us. The location of this flat is awesome too. You are a really short walk away from the bus stop that takes you everywhere, short walk from grocery stores, and the neighborhood is so safe and very quiet. We were traveling without our two kids this time, and we both got such amazing sleep every night that we haven't had in years, ha. Kate also answered all of our questions promptly before and during our stay. This is our second time in San Fran this year. We would definitely stay at Kate's again, and I would absolutely recommend this to my family and friends. Thank Kate, for everything. - Cassandra & Oli - Austin, Tx
Such a comfortable place, everything you need plus a great host. Could not be more centrally located. This place is AAA+++
Excellent overall experience. It was easy to get to most places around the city. The public transportation hub around the aparment was great. Kate gave us excellent reccomendations for restaurants. Although we only went to one, it was easily my favorite dinner in SF. We were not in the apt that much but when we were it met all of our needs. I would definetly stay here again in SF and would reccomend this place as well for people who want to be in a great centralized SF location, close to it all.
