Come stay on the most iconic street in San Francisco -- Lombard Street -- in your own 2-bedroom apartment. This lovely apartment is sunny and quiet, off the street, in a carriage-house built in 1913 just after the Great Quake. It is on the first …
Excellent stay in San Fran. We stayed with our 1 year old and turned out to be great. The owners were great and easy to work with. They provided a nice book of information at time if arrival which was nice. The location was great for us, as it was a quiet safe neighborhood.
The house was in good condition and was a quiet place for us get away for the little one to sleep while on vacation. The location was close enough to fisherman's wharf to walk to every day.
My famiy spent 8 nights at this apartment over the Christmas period. We were greeted by the host and shown the apartment's facilities. After that we settled in to a great apartment where we were able to see all the San Francisco sights. The location was perfect - on Lombard Street, 2 cable cars very close, minutes to Fishermans Wharf; we could hear the seals on Pier 39. Great restaurants. Wifi was very appreciated. Loved cooking in the kitchen. Laundry facilities modern, efficient and all essentials were provided (laundry powder, paper towels etc). We would thoroughly reccommend this apartment. The hosts were very welcoming and having them in the same complex was reassuring.
Our family of 4 (2 adults/2 teenagers) stayed here for 3 nights. We loved the apartment, it felt very homey & spacious and was 10 times better than a hotel. It was also in an excellent location, walking distance to most places and trolley ride to the rest. There was a little grocery store a block away and the bigger grocery stores not much further. Restaurants and cafes all around. Ben & Bethany were very hospitable and had a binder full of maps & where to go/what to do in the city. We rented bikes on a perfect Saturday and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Unforgettable! We had a great time in SF!
We stayed for 8 days and what a great location to be based in San Francisco. The apartment is really well furnished with all that is needed for a home away from home.Bethany & Ben were extremely helpful on our arrival and gave us some great tips to get us started on our adventure.
The included WiFi is very good and trouble free so it really helps to be able to do bookings online
The location is just perfect and allowed us to get around without the need to hire a car. If you get a Muni multi day pass you can get almost anywhere in the city and surrounds easily and very cost effective. We would recommend riding the trolley as much as possible due to the steep roads etc.
As a regular user of apartments all over the world I must say the cleanliness and attention to detail provided by the owners is up there with the best. Thanks for a great stay
My mom and I have just returned from a five-night stay in this apartment, and we had a wonderful time. The property owners were prompt and thorough in their responses to my questions when we were considering the apartment, and they were gracious and welcoming when we arrived. The apartment was perfect for us - we liked it so much better than staying in a hotel. We got a real feel for the North Beach neighborhood, and it was great to have our own bedrooms, a beautiful and well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces filled with natural light and offering views of the surrounding neighbors' gardens. The location is within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown and an abundance of restaurants and cafes. It was also very convenient to buses and trolley cars that got us everywhere we wanted to go around the city. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting San Francisco, and in fact, we already have.
My only word of warning is that the apartment is located about 3/4 of the way up one of San Francisco's notoriously steep hills. If you're in relatively good shape and used to walking in a city, you'll have no problem, but it was difficult for my 72-year old mother to trek up that hill after a day full of sightseeing.
Other than that, our stay could not have been more perfect. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to one of my favorite destinations in the world!
