Inviting, Peaceful 2 Bedroom Apartment in the Heart of SF with Garden Views
This apartment is a quiet oasis in the center of San Francisco, mere steps away from the bustle of the Haight-Ashbury district and all of its shops, restaurants and nightlife. It is one block from Golden Gate Park, and a short walk to all of the m …
For a recent trip to SF with a group of 4 to celebrate our mother's 70th birthday, we opted for this property instead of a hotel. The place is lovely and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped to cook more than basic meals, the amenities are appropriate. There is a Whole Foods within walking distance and faily easy parking made the whole stay a wonderful experience. I highly recommend staying here.
Wow... what else can i say but wow? This apartment was the perfect place for my wife, me, and our family friends to stay on our visit to San Francisco. It was in a central location next to great restaurants, bus stops, and all the wonderful culture that San Francisco has to offer. It was quiet, secure, and felt like home for the three days we were there. Katrina was so helpful in booking our stay and and very welcoming once we arrived (wish we could have met you face to face, Katrina!) checking in and making sure everything was satisfactory for us. She even provided a small welcome package of local goodies for us enjoy. In the future, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather stay on a visit to the city by the bay!

Great location off Haight 1 block from Ashbury. Great reasturants within walking distance. Great shopping. Haight street market is great!!! Golden gate Park within walking distance. Great apartment to stay with older child. Apartment is charming building lovely stained glass to watch the evening sun sparkle threw.Laundry facilities available. Living room furniture very comfortable very quiet at night. Would love to stay again if every get back to the great city of San Francisco.
First of all, your hostess Katrina is one of the sweetest people we've ever met! The big 4 story mansion is quintessential Haight-Ashbury vibes from the sixties. This 2 bedroom is easy to access, quiet, comfortable (superb beds!) and clean.
A sincere recommendation!
This apartment was everything the photos promised and more. The stained glass work is more impressive in person! A large, peaceful apartment close to Haight St & Golden Gate Park. A great location; close to buses. A cab for 4 adults to the other side of town was also very reasonable. We are foodies and went to RN74, The Slanted Door, and Quince, all were fantastic.
The bedrooms were large enough for us, with lots of closet space. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was super clean and big. Loved the claw-foot, deep tub. The kitchen had everything we needed & also very clean. We really appreciated the welcome basket & drinks stocked in the frig. We will definitely return the next time we are in SFO.
Four of us (2 couples/friends) stayed for a week. Very convenient to Muni transportation. We had a rental car too and managed to score good parking the entire time, just taking a little effort. The apt. is very nice, quiet and cozy. Owner/host is very attentive & gracious w/quick responses. Nice to have a washer/dryer available. Welcome basket & fridge supplies - very nice added touch. No complaints from us!
The place is perfect, two solid bedrooms with nice beds, nice living room and kitchen. The location is idea for whatever you want to do in the city as well. Katrina was very thoughtful to stock the fridge with some local beer, wine, salami and snacks...really nice.
A friend and I stayed in this lovely apt while in SanFrancisco for a conference. The apt is fantastic! It is quaint, plenty of room for 2 people and would have been great for 4. The pictures are an accurate representation. It's sunny and bright, and very comfortable - the mattresses were to die for (made locally apparently)! Despite being in the middle of the city, it was quiet in the apt. Muni stop was on the corner and restaurants, bars, shops all around. Katrina was gracious and accommodating and talked with pride about the apt which was her childhood home - her father created those gorgeous windows. All in all a wonderful experience. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
I heartily recommend this apartment for anyone going to San Francisco. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Although very close to shopping and restaurants, it was nice and quiet at night. Katrina was very helpful and friendly.
This lovely apartment was truly a rare find. The owner, Katrina, has thought of everything that a guest would need. The apartment is spacious, quiet, yet steps from the hustle and bustle of Haight Street and public transportation. My husband, teenage son and I are already planning a return trip and I would HIGHLY recommend this accommodation to other travellers. It really is a "home away from home"!!!!!!!!!!
We arrived in San Fransisco, after a two day drive from Los Angeles. When we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted by Katrina, a gracious hostess. The place was exactly what we needed, it was clean, and the beds were great. We felt right at home, we could relax, and feel comfortable. It was nice that we had a washing at our disposal, and Katrina also had books and maps to help us tour around the city. We felt that we had all the comforts of home. We also appreciated the gift of snacks, that added a nice touch. All in all, when we come to San Fransisco again (to see our grandson) we will for sure look up Katrina and request to stay there again. Thank you Katrina for making our stay in San Fransisco so great.

Myself and two friends rented this fantastic apartment for three nights in October and could not be happier. It was my first trip to SF and I was not sure which neighbourhood we should stay in. Certainly no disappointment with this location: walking distance to great shops, restaurants, coffee, pubs, plus a great local market around the corner. Everything you need is right here. It is also a short walk to Golden Gate Park and a very easy and accessible location for getting around by bike. The street felt very safe, even late at night.
Katrina is the perfect "host" who is so friendly, made us feel very welcome, provided great information about local attractions and then pretty much left us to our own devices. The welcome basket in the kitchen was definitely the kind of bonus that goes above and beyond any hotel stay!
The only (very minor) glitch was that while there was wireless internet, it was not always reliable (weak signal) and none of us had much phone reception inside the house. Happily, the garden area is so inviting and phones seemed to work just fine out there.
The beds, linens and towels were perfect, comfortable and plentiful and the beauty and character of the suite add so much to the whole experience.
I would definitely recommend this apartment and certainly will return for another stay!!

Sun-Filled Garden Studio in Heart of the City
This peaceful and quiet hidden gem of a studio is perfectly situated in the heart of the city. We're located in the bustling Castro district only a five minute walk to Market and Castro -- a convenient and fast transportation hub with Muni underground, trains and buses. Downtown is only 10-15 minutes away. It's possible to travel directly from SFO by Bart with only one transfer at Civic Center to the Castro Street Muni Station. You won't need a car to get around -- most of our guests enjoy the city without one -- but if you do drive, parking is easy and free on our block.
The Castro is a friendly neighborhood with well cared for classic Victorian and Edwardian buildings, parks, cafes, restaurants, small groceries, shops and the venerable Castro theater. Although it is a flat walk to transportation and Castro street shopping, we have lots of hills nearby with hidden staircases and wonderful views. Start your day with a walk to Tartine Bakery on Valencia for croissants & coffee or up to Twin Peaks for the views. We are perfectly situated next to some of the city's hottest restaurants -- walking distance from the Mission, the Valencia Corridor, Duboce Triangle, Hayes Valley, Lower Haight & Noe Valley
This studio apartment was newly built in 2012 at the garden level of a renovated 1907 Edwardian. Accessed through a side door and corridor to the back, it's great for folks who prefer not to climb a lot of steps. It's a spacious 440 square feet with 9' ceilings, hardwood floors, recess lighting and Anderson sliding doors to a patio and shared garden.
We've set up the apartment for the way we'd like to live if we, family or friends were to stay there for weeks at a time. The sitting area has a comfortable couch and chair, a 32' LCD TV w/cable and DVD, the fabulously comfortable king size bed has lots of great pillows and high thread count cotton sheets. There are bathrobes in the closet and the tiled bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer, bath products and lots of room for your things. Upon request, there is a single mattress for a third person and for our smallest visitors a travel crib or child's cot.
The kitchenette with refrigerator, convection microwave, induction burner, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea kettle, rice cooker and crock-pot, etc. has everything you'll need to eat in when you're not in the mood to take advantage of numerous restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket three blocks away and farmers' markets all over town.
Your hosts, Jan and Wandralee, are happy to direct you to neighborhood cafes & restaurants, interesting places to walk or bike, and all of the wonderful amenities San Francisco has to offer.
We also have an extra bicycle or two that may be available if you inquire before booking.
