Inviting, Peaceful 2 Bedroom Apartment in the Heart of SF with Garden Views
This apartment is a quiet oasis in the center of San Francisco, mere steps away from the bustle of the Haight-Ashbury district and all of its shops, restaurants and nightlife. It is one block from Golden Gate Park, and a short walk to all of the m …
We researched many properties in San Francisco across multiple neighborhoods and thought this one looked perfect online. We were even more pleased when we arrived! The owner, Katrina, welcomed us with bottles of wine and snacks, plus guidebooks and personal tips on places to visit in the neighborhood and around the city. The apartment was quiet, clean, comfortable and includes a private patio outside. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, we enjoyed overlooking the garden and looking at the tall trees out of stain glass windows while drinking coffee at the kitchen table in the morning. The amazing Haight Street Market is steps away with all the fresh local produce you could ever ask for. Experience Haight-Ashbury the way it's intended, but also easy access to the bus line and taxi cabs to get anywhere in the city easily. Short walk to Golden Gate Park that has bicycles for rent and ZipCar access. The apartment was really hip with artwork and decor that made us feel at home. We were at ease relaxing in the apartment or coming and going as we pleased. Katrina was quickly responsive to any questions we had, and even let us do laundry. This was the perfect way to experience S.F and we can't wait to go back to the apartment again. We knew it was the perfect spot when we referred to it as "going home" versus "back to the hotel" like on other vacations. Five Stars!
We stayed here for 10 glorious days, and we were very happy :) It was as shown by the pictures, we particularly LOVED the typical victorian stairs up to the house (very Tales of the City) we were hoping to see Mrs Madrigal at some stage! ;) It is centrally located. Buses are frequent and pretty much you can hop on to get anywhere in San Fran. Golden Gate Park is pretty much at the bottom of the road, and is a FANTASTIC day out. Bedrooms were spacious, both with built in wardrobes (must admit they were lacking mirrors), but there is one in the corridor by the bathroom. We had trouble with the wi-fi when we first got there, but come day 3 and after talking to Katrina it was all fine. Katrina also left us a lovely goodie basket and welcome pack in the fridge :) Fabulous Personal touches :) and she was happy to print out our boarding passes etc for getting home. We had a very packed 10 day itinerary and it was lovely to come back at the end of the day to this little local haven. We would definately recommend this property
For a recent trip to SF with a group of 4 to celebrate our mother's 70th birthday, we opted for this property instead of a hotel. The place is lovely and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped to cook more than basic meals, the amenities are appropriate. There is a Whole Foods within walking distance and faily easy parking made the whole stay a wonderful experience. I highly recommend staying here.
Wow... what else can i say but wow? This apartment was the perfect place for my wife, me, and our family friends to stay on our visit to San Francisco. It was in a central location next to great restaurants, bus stops, and all the wonderful culture that San Francisco has to offer. It was quiet, secure, and felt like home for the three days we were there. Katrina was so helpful in booking our stay and and very welcoming once we arrived (wish we could have met you face to face, Katrina!) checking in and making sure everything was satisfactory for us. She even provided a small welcome package of local goodies for us enjoy. In the future, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather stay on a visit to the city by the bay!

Great apartment to stay with older child. Apartment is charming building lovely stained glass to watch the evening sun sparkle threw.Laundry facilities available. Living room furniture very comfortable very quiet at night. Would love to stay again if every get back to the great city of San Francisco.
First of all, your hostess Katrina is one of the sweetest people we've ever met! The big 4 story mansion is quintessential Haight-Ashbury vibes from the sixties. This 2 bedroom is easy to access, quiet, comfortable (superb beds!) and clean.
A sincere recommendation!
This apartment was everything the photos promised and more. The stained glass work is more impressive in person! A large, peaceful apartment close to Haight St & Golden Gate Park. A great location; close to buses. A cab for 4 adults to the other side of town was also very reasonable. We are foodies and went to RN74, The Slanted Door, and Quince, all were fantastic.
The bedrooms were large enough for us, with lots of closet space. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was super clean and big. Loved the claw-foot, deep tub. The kitchen had everything we needed & also very clean. We really appreciated the welcome basket & drinks stocked in the frig. We will definitely return the next time we are in SFO.
Four of us (2 couples/friends) stayed for a week. Very convenient to Muni transportation. We had a rental car too and managed to score good parking the entire time, just taking a little effort. The apt. is very nice, quiet and cozy. Owner/host is very attentive & gracious w/quick responses. Nice to have a washer/dryer available. Welcome basket & fridge supplies - very nice added touch. No complaints from us!
The place is perfect, two solid bedrooms with nice beds, nice living room and kitchen. The location is idea for whatever you want to do in the city as well. Katrina was very thoughtful to stock the fridge with some local beer, wine, salami and snacks...really nice.
A friend and I stayed in this lovely apt while in SanFrancisco for a conference. The apt is fantastic! It is quaint, plenty of room for 2 people and would have been great for 4. The pictures are an accurate representation. It's sunny and bright, and very comfortable - the mattresses were to die for (made locally apparently)! Despite being in the middle of the city, it was quiet in the apt. Muni stop was on the corner and restaurants, bars, shops all around. Katrina was gracious and accommodating and talked with pride about the apt which was her childhood home - her father created those gorgeous windows. All in all a wonderful experience. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
I heartily recommend this apartment for anyone going to San Francisco. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Although very close to shopping and restaurants, it was nice and quiet at night. Katrina was very helpful and friendly.
This lovely apartment was truly a rare find. The owner, Katrina, has thought of everything that a guest would need. The apartment is spacious, quiet, yet steps from the hustle and bustle of Haight Street and public transportation. My husband, teenage son and I are already planning a return trip and I would HIGHLY recommend this accommodation to other travellers. It really is a "home away from home"!!!!!!!!!!
We arrived in San Fransisco, after a two day drive from Los Angeles. When we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted by Katrina, a gracious hostess. The place was exactly what we needed, it was clean, and the beds were great. We felt right at home, we could relax, and feel comfortable. It was nice that we had a washing at our disposal, and Katrina also had books and maps to help us tour around the city. We felt that we had all the comforts of home. We also appreciated the gift of snacks, that added a nice touch. All in all, when we come to San Fransisco again (to see our grandson) we will for sure look up Katrina and request to stay there again. Thank you Katrina for making our stay in San Fransisco so great.

Myself and two friends rented this fantastic apartment for three nights in October and could not be happier. It was my first trip to SF and I was not sure which neighbourhood we should stay in. Certainly no disappointment with this location: walking distance to great shops, restaurants, coffee, pubs, plus a great local market around the corner. Everything you need is right here. It is also a short walk to Golden Gate Park and a very easy and accessible location for getting around by bike. The street felt very safe, even late at night.
Katrina is the perfect "host" who is so friendly, made us feel very welcome, provided great information about local attractions and then pretty much left us to our own devices. The welcome basket in the kitchen was definitely the kind of bonus that goes above and beyond any hotel stay!
The only (very minor) glitch was that while there was wireless internet, it was not always reliable (weak signal) and none of us had much phone reception inside the house. Happily, the garden area is so inviting and phones seemed to work just fine out there.
The beds, linens and towels were perfect, comfortable and plentiful and the beauty and character of the suite add so much to the whole experience.
I would definitely recommend this apartment and certainly will return for another stay!!
