Ideally located, single family home with views
Recently renovated, single family home located in the heart of the Inner Sunset. Very close proximity to Golden Gate Park, UCSF, 9th and Irving business district, and the the N-Judah train line for access to Ocean Beach, Civic Center, Union Square …
We stayed here for a family gathering and found the house as described, although having two trundle beds rather than a queen or two twins made for a few chuckles for our adult kids. The home was spacious and comfortable and we were thrilled to have a garage for our car as street parking might have been a challenge. We walked to local restaurants every night (5 nights). Colleen and Bryan were so helpful with suggestions for restaurants, local transportation and for a back way to SFO so we could avoid street closures during a Nike marathon. There were a few minor maintenance issues which we mentioned to Colleen and we think they have been taken care of because they were quick to respond to our concerns. We'd definitely stay there again.
I highly recommend this rental house in the Inner Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco. The house appeared to be recently renovated with quality furniture and modern decor. Our group included 3 couples for 4 days. Our group made full use of the 3 bedrooms, which contained plenty of room and comfortable beds. The kitchen was modern, clean, and contained a nice mix of glassware, silverware, and pots and pans. The back deck/yard/hot tub offer great options for travelers to unwind.
The location is fantastic, offering a quick walk to Irving St, which contains quaint restaurants, bars, and shops, and provides access to public transportation. Moreover the Inner Sunset area is relatively central within the city, providing easy access to many neighborhoods around the city. Also, SFO is only a 25-30 minute drive away. We elected to rent a car, so the garage space was very nice, as it allowed us to avoid looking for on-street parking.
The owners were responsive and helpful via email. I recommend this rental without any reservations.
This was a nice-size marina-style house in the quiet inner sunset neighborhood of SF just south of the Golden Gate Park's botanical gardens. The master suite with separate living room and hot tub access was perfect for my wife and I to hang out in peace once our two kids were asleep upstairs. The master bath had a great shower with textured stone floors. The house was tidy, beds were comfy and appliances fully functional. Lighting in the kitchen was great with a nice deck that had a great view of the Golden Gate Park and GG bridge. Back yard had a play structure for the kids also. Inner Sunset has a nice stretch of restaurants and shops two blocks away from this house on 9th Ave. Park Chow for breakfast, lunch or dinner, Nopalitos for good Mexican and excellent ritas, Arizemendi's bakery in AM, Sunday market and Roxie market were highlights. Oh yeah, and Social Brewing had decent beer and good looking brunch with live jazz. It was easy to catch the Muni on Judah or Irving to head to beach or downtown.
My two buddies and I rented this house for a week during our recent golf outing to the Bay area. It is a great place to stay and all amenities are as listed in the add (no bait and switch and everything was in mint condition). It is just far enough away from all the tourist locations for a bit of seclusion and home town feel, but close enough for easy and quick public transportation into the city. To boot, there are tons of neighborhood stores, restaurants, bars and Golden Gate Park within walking distance providing everything you could need. The garage is an added bonus, as we rented a car and parking can be hard to find, and the location allowed us easy access to courses both north and south of the city without hitting downtown, congested streets. The owners were courteous, responded in a very timely and professional manner, and were personable enough to provide us with many suggestions on things to do. If this rental is within your price range, you'll get what you pay for and more. We would certainly rent it again should we return to San Francisco.
