Gorgeous Studio Steps from Coit Tower in North Beach
ONLY BOOKING THROUGH August 2014. THANK YOU. Come stay in our gorgeous studio apartment nestled into Telegraph Hill in the North Beach area of San Francisco. This cozy and chic studio is located on a small, quiet street just steps from the energy …
Very nice and cosy studio. It's a little dark and one must remember it's above a garage. Therefore, you can't miss the opening and closing of the garage door.
But apart from that, Ruth has been really sweet and helpful (I had internet connexion problems at first), and the street is really quiet. I had good rest, naps, and nice evenings in the studio.
It's nicely furbished and the photos are faithful to the place.
And location is fantastic, of course.
I would recommend it to friends.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this fantastic little studio, and it was a great experience. The location is perfect -- you are few blocks away from fantastic restaurants (Mama's, Ton'ys, Don Pisto's), shops, and sights. An easy walk to Chinatown, a nice (downhill for the most part) walk to the Embarcadero, and very close to tons of buses. The studio is up on a hill, so you will have to hike up those steep streets a few times, but it's only for a block or so.
You really feel like you have your own little apartment, and you can come and go as you please without interference. The apartment is comfortable if you'd like to stay in for the night, and though there isn't a microwave, there is a stove, oven, and toaster oven. And coffee maker, very important.
Overall, I highly recommend this studio for a great stay in San Francisco.
My husband and I stayed here (along with our dog) for a long weekend getaway and it was just perfect for us! It is an amazingly quiet spot in the center of the city. We could walk our dog down to Washington Square Park and then off to a cafe along Columbus for coffee and pastries each morning. We walked to Chinatown one day and up to Coit Tower, down the Filbert Steps and to the Embarcadero the next. Ruth was very helpful and gave us a great restaurant suggestion. Don't miss Osha on Union -wonderful Thai! You can catch the 45 bus just down the hill at the park and take it straight out Union. We loved our stay and look forward to returning!
My wife and I could not have been much happier with the arrangements here during our stay in San Francisco.
Securing the reservation with Ruth over the internet was very easy. Checking in upon our arrival was extremely convenient - we were able to pick up our key from a lockbox in front of the property and did not need to set up an in-person meeting at a certain time.
Location is a major plus. Within about 2 miles walking distance of a very high number of notable sites/restaurants and several great neighborhoods. Telegraph Hill is also a very unique area geographically and this adds to the charm. Unlike almost any areas I can think of in other U.S. cities.
There is some street parking available and garages nearby if you have a rental car, however due to the central location a car is not necessary if you are going to be staying inside the city.
Overall we had a great time and thought the place was a good deal. We would stay again!
stayed here for a long weekend, and the location was fabulous!!! walking distance to some of the best eateries in SF, fisherman's wharf, north beach, chinatown, embarcadero( and its farmer's market) and financial district. really the best location if you're looking to explore SF. No need for a rental car. I had it for a day just to travel to San Jose, but returned it a day later. Just a few blocks away from the MUNI. The studio is cute and clean! If you're new to SF, you want a centrally located place, like this studio. I would def stay at this place next time i'm in SF.
We stayed at this cute little place for the 2011 Gay Pride Festival the weekend of June 24-27. This studio is perfect! Quiet courtyard entry on a quiet street. Open the windows and the door and calm breezes of the city fill the studio. Walking distance to everything you need. Be ambitious, walk up the street and hit the stairs to Coit Tower - you'll have alot shorter walk than most other people making their way there.
San Francisco is a walking city! Plan for that if you stay here. Don't bring a car if you can avoid it. If you need to rent one do it for the day or two you will need it and return it. Parking can be found in the area for sure, but the time you might take to find it could be time better spent. Support the local economy and grab a cab or hop on the Muni/Bus/Bart/Cable Car...
In a few words the studio is - adorable, accessible, affordable. I'll probably not be able to get a reservation next time because others will discover what we did!!

Bright & Charming Apt near Union Sq
Perfect location for a visit to San Francisco!

My apartment is in the heart of the city, only 2 blocks from Union Square and 4 blocks from Polk St. Truly a short walk from many many restaurants, bars, shopping, everything!

The apartment is bright and sunny with bay windows. Queen-sized bed with a down comforter. 2 empty closets for you to use. Spacious living room with the softest, fluffiest rug, a fun bistro table to sit at, and my favorite, a very comfy papason chair.

Slight caveat: One of the things I love most about the apartment is its location, but this also means that the streets can be lively at night. I do not recommend this apartment if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood or if you are a very light sleeper. (Or bring earplugs!)

If you have any questions or want more details, just ask!
