Gorgeous SF Marina Home with Great Location/View
This family home (3600 Sq Ft) is located in a beautiful part of San Francisco on Chestnut Street right next to the stunning Presidio National Park and the gorgeous Marina. This area is filled with ocean beach and forest trails, wonderful shops, wo …
This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful home. We had a truly incredible time at one of the best homes and locations in San Francisco. Incredibly close to the great shops and restaurants on Chestnut Street, the serenity and beauty of the Presidio, the Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge and so much more. The owners took great care in creating this wonderful home with first class furnishings and were a pleasure to work with.
We had a great time at this property and would absolutely come back again. We feel very fortunate to be able to experience the beauty of San Francisco in such a fabulous setting.
The interior of the home was absolutely beautiful and spacious and clean. If you are used to nice hotels this home will not disappoint! I wanted to take home the pillow I slept on. The outdoor living areas were an added bonus - gorgeous ambiance, relaxing, and spectacular views. The pool table provided our young adult children with hours of fun. Some nights we needed the outdoor heaters and fire pit and they were very easy to turn on and off - a push of a button, turn of a key, or a flip of a switch. Jason and his brother give you the low-down on the entire house at check-in and are only a text or call away if you have any questions at all. The pictures of this place do not do it justice.I hope to be back to this vacation house again someday...it was perfect...I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else if you have a group that wants to experience the whole city!
AREA: The Palace of Fine Arts and all its beauty is practically in your backyard and my 20 something kids all enjoyed walking to the Golden Gate Bridge. We had no car and got everywhere walking or a short cab ride to various attractions. We were able to walk to many great local restaurants/bars along Chestnut St. every night (Tipsy Pig, Izzy's). Dinner reservations in SF are far from necessary but helpful...especially on weekends. Down the street was a small food market and deli that gave us everything we needed. We also went on an incredible SF tour (The Real San Francisco Tour...we went on the urban tour...highly recommended) This is a real SF experience that has you walking/ riding/shopping your way through the various districts.. only for small groups under 12 people...book it ahead of time. This beautiful home was centrally located to all that we did in SF. When we didn't walk somewhere, we spent no more than $15-20 tops for cab rides to get everywhere we needed to be across the various districts. A great location that gives you more than all the amenities of home!
The entire family really enjoyed this place. Our older kids loved the fact they not only had their own rooms , but also their own bath. It is a beautiful and spacious home, that was good to just spread out and relax within. The music system was easily adapted to our computer and iPhones as well. The garage allowed us to rent bikes over multiple day's and store securely in the garage. Local restaurants and stores where all we really needed. From this location we were able to bike and ride cable cars to everyplace we had planned and still get back for dinner and relax.
We had some pretty big delays in our flights and the owners still met us in the wee hours of the night to welcome us, and show us around.
WE all want to stay there again!
This fully stocked lovely home is in an unbeatable location. Walk to a myriad of restaurants, near public transportation, and parking too!
Look at the window at the Palace of Fine Arts and watch the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
You will get spoiled if you stay here.
Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this property while we were vacationing in San Francisco. The property was centrally located to many attractions and within walking distance to quaint restaurants, food markets, and retail shops. While sitting on the balcony, we were able to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts. The home is located in a lovely neighborhood and the accommodations were excellent. The listing description and photos are accurate. The furnishings in the home are upscale yet comfortable. The decor has a a Tuscan feel. Very nicely appointed. The owner is amicable and an excellent resource for the neighborhood attractions. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting San Francisco.
Our family of five spent three weeks driving through California, and without a doubt, Jason's rental was BY FAR the best place to stay! From the great communication prior to making our reservation, to Robert's fabulous tour of the property upon arrival everything was perfect. Every amenity one could ask for was found at this home. Great towels, sheets, stocked kitchen and laundry room. The kids LOVED the media room and pool table and hubby and I enjoyed our nightly ritual of sipping a bottle of wine by the fire pit in the gorgeous area outside. We could not have asked for anything more. This rental is a MUST if you are staying in beautiful San Francisco!!!! :)
Our family spent a wonderful two weeks at this beautiful house in the Marina district of San Francisco, next to the Presidio. The home is immaculate and it is obvious that the owners take extraordinary care in the maintenance and upkeep of it. The house looks like it is ready for a high-end magazine photo shoot!
This is the first time that we have rented a vacation home when visiting a large city, and it worked out beautifully. The home offers gorgeous living space, bedrooms and great outdoor areas (most with breathtaking views of Palace of Fine Arts and Golden Gate Bridge.) The owners are extremely gracious and accommodating and very responsive to all needs and requests (including finding a babysitter for us at the last minute:) We had the incredible good fortune of watching the fireworks on the Fourth of July from the beautiful decks.
We hope to visit again in the very near future and would strongly recommend the home to visitors who are seeking a high-end stay in a private home in one of San Francisco's nicest neighborhoods.
First off......location, location, location. Second.....the attention to detail that went into the renovation and the upkeep of this great house is second to none. Everything was top quality, clean and very functional. A great blend of modern house technology with great style and furnishings.
Jason met me at the start of our stay and was a warm and welcoming host. He went out of his way to show us everything the house had to offer and this really added to our stay and enjoyment. The outside billiard area was terrific and a fun spot for our family of six to play and recap the days events. His restaurant recommendations were alos spot on.
The house was large, clean, safe, cool, and the owner was top notch. Look no further than this rental. No regrets from the Clarke family.
The property is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to main roads, a vibrant main street (shopping/restaurant) area, a beautiful park (with great hills for running), and a private Starbucks around the corner. We found that parking was easy because of the driveway and garage. The inside of the house was fully equipped from top to bottom, with ample room and dinnerware for entertaining and hosting meals. The four bedrooms had private baths and closets, making for a convenient and relaxing stay. Just as important was the beautiful view of the bridge and the outdoor firepit. We only wish that we could have spent more time in the house during the week to enjoy all of the amenities and relax.
Spent five days in this wonderful home, with my husband, two teenage girls and my mother. The house is extremely well equipped and beautifully appointed, in a great location, a stone's throw from the Presidio, a short walk to the beach and to the Chestnut Street shops and restaurants. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts from the back deck and master bedroom are spectacular.
I highly recommend this house and would definitely return.
Our family of four rented this lovely home over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was perfect for our needs, fulfilling our wishes to gather as a family from various parts of the country.
This home has plenty of comfortable space, a complete and carefully equipped kitchen, 3-4 private bedrooms and bathrooms, and offers an excellent location.
I am happy to recommend this vacation home and it's accommodating owners.
