Garden View Apartment at Golden Gate Park
Our Apartment is located at the entrance to Golden Gate Park and within walking distance to the UCSF medical campus, Haight Ashbury and the museums and activities of the park. The Inner Sunset is a safe and lively neighborhood boasting over 60 res …
We had a wonderful stay at the Garden View apartment. It was perfect for our family; clean, convenient, and more affordable than a hotel. We took a cab from the airport, but from then on, it was nice not to need a rental car because the public transportation from the apartment is so easy to navigate. It was great for my tween and teenage children to be out of the suburbs and to see what it's like to live in a safe, eclectic part of the city. Everything was close--food, transportation and the park --all just steps away. Our hosts were gracious and very accommodating. We really appreciated him being there when we arrived and providing maps and information about the city. The apartment is big enough for a family of four to be comfortable. The washer and dryer were a nice bonus. Everything made for a very enjoyable vacation, and we will come back!
We had never been to San Francisco before and this was a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was warm and cozy and a great fit for 3 people. We really did not use the kitchen very much since there are so many wonderfully diverse restaurants right on 9th street. Everything was very convenient. We parked out rental car a few blocks over and used the buses. Really very easy with the Moble Muni phone app. Jim and Deb were also wonderful hosts. They greeted us on our arrival and were available when we needed help, but not intrusive at all. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to get a true taste of San Francisco. What a fun and friendly city!
Apartments at Golden Gate Park has a great location! I work at UCSF, and this location is perfect for my commute (which isn't really a commute since I just walk a few blocks). It's also located next to some great restaurants, stores, and Golden Gate Park. Jim and Deb are wonderful owners and were extremely accommodating & hospitable. The apartment was very comfortable for my work stay!
Stayed over Christmas week and found the apartment to be everything we needed. Steps away from great restaurants and Starbucks, etc. Bus stops at end of block and muni only 2 blocks away.
Apartment was very clean, remarkably quiet and looked out over the garden. Will be back!
We came in to run a marathon and brought the dog. Basically, we just wanted to rest up in a quiet place and this was more than perfect. Deborah, the quilter, had left her special touches in the cute framed photos and quilted table runners. Jim, the handyman, made sure we got a new TV when ours went out. They are a delight, and so is their sweet place. The neighborhood is a treasure. The unofficial dog park is just across the street. There's the train, Starbucks, the best tacos we've ever had, the most incredible cafe and restaurants, all within a stones throw. We couldn't have been happier. Spacious, comfy and perfect.
What a beautiful apartment! We were blown away by how it exceeding all expectation. This apartment is literally three doors down for one of the best (if not THE best) Thai places in San Francisco and about a block or so from one of our favorite bakeries (Arizmendi). We both used to live in San Francisco and this is one of our hands-down favorite neighborhoods. Everything is right at your fingertips, but should you want to venture further downtown or pretty much anywhere in the city, public transport is everywhere within the several blocks nearby. This is a wonderful place I would recommend to anyone.
We stayed three nights. The apartment was just as advertised. Clean, quiet, comfortable, with garden view and the tops of palm trees. Jim & Debbie were great hosts and friendly. Neighborhood has restaurants, bars, groceries, anything you need. N Judah streetcar is half block away and will take you to rest of the City. Golden Gate Park is half block away. You can walk for days in San Francisco and it's always interesting. We got lucky and were in town on the World Series weekend. My brother and nephew joined us in our apartment and we watched the Giants win. When anything good happened on the TV we would mute the sound and we could hear the cheering from the neighborhood. This apartment is a good deal. Two minor items to prove I'm not a paid public relations writer: the bed was a bit too firm for me, although I slept fine, and my wife would have preferred a slightly larger TV. The WiFI is secure and was fast. We never felt unsafe on the local streets, although we lived in the city for years and both were cabdrivers so we have had some city streets experience. Rent this place.
We enjoyed our stay at the Garden View apartment a lot!!! Perfectly situated at one of Sunset's most lively streets everything can be reached within walking distance. There are lots of bakeries, restaurants and bistros around that offer very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. The apartment is clean and very quiet since it faces the nice back yard with lots of daylight coming in. It was the perfect location to explore the bay area though people who travel by car should be aware of the limited parking situation in the neighborhood/SF. We always found a place to park but it might take you a couple of minutes.
We will definitely stay there again when returning to San Francisco. It was just great and makes you feel so much more being part of the city...great time at a great place!!! Thanks Jim.
This apartment is awesome! Our family of 4 recently stayed for a week. Our 3 year old twin daughters made themselves at home in no time at all! The property is clean, well maintained, and the owners are welcoming. There are great eateries close by, the Muni into downtown was a block a way. Too many wonderful things to say about this place!
