Elegant, Romantic, Views, Right under Coit Tower, Gourmet Kitchen, Gas Fireplace
This architect-designed apartment features large rooms and an elegant flow. Cork flooring muffles sound, and elegant woven patterned rugs add charm. The gourmet kitchen features granite counters and everything that a cook desires. (I am a good c …
The location is perfect. The apartment is very roomy and just as described on the webpage The kitchen has everything you need To cook a gourmet meal. The gas grill and complimentary parking spot are a Bonus. We were able to walk anywhere we need to go or catch public transportation. The owner was very helpful and very quick to respond to question.
The place is right in the center of where you want to be. Human size area with loads of good restaurants and bars, close to Fisherman's wharf and most attractions downtown. The appartment offers fantastic views, convenient parking, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable king bed. The BBQ is a great feature as well as the rooftop terrace. Owners are nice helping people. What can I say more? We just had a great time there and would not hesitate to get here again if we ever come back to SF area. Only one thing I would suggest is upgrade the TV to a 42 or 50 inches so we can look at our pictures on it at night. There is a perfect spot for it just across the couch, on the wall!!!
Thanks for everything, this is a great, large and clean spot!
What a great place to stay!
The owners of this place are great to deal with. Quick responses, excellent communication and very accommodating. The unit itself is in a beautiful part of the city. You've got the fisherman's wharf, little italy and chinatown all a stones throw away. Great dining a 5 minute walk away, but who needs it with the spacious kitchen back at home. We will recommend this place to anyone travelling to San Fran. We will be returning for sure.
Thanks to you both!
This is a superb apartment a couple to rent when visiting San Francisco. The description in the listing is completely accurate and we fully agree with what was said by the other reviewers. We have rented apartments in other major cities and none of them has been as clean and well equipped as this one. We also found the owner easily contacted and helpful.
The location is perfect. Public transportation is easily accessible to just about anywhere you might want to go in San Francisco. There are many interesting restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops nearby. You are in the middle of North Beach and you can easily walk to Chinatown, the Embarcadero or Fisherman's Wharf.
The owner's description is clear about aspects that might cause problems for a few. There is a steep half-block up to the apartment and then you need to walk up to the third floor. Parking for some cars is possible but slightly difficult. If you bring a car, you may want to leave it parked and rely on the many public buses nearby or the easily hailed taxis. But if these matters are not a problem for you, you cannot go wrong staying here.
Visited from the UK in May 2013. Excellent apartment, very spacious with great views of the city. The North Beach area is ideal for restaurants and bars which are only a short walk from the apartment. The cable car can be picked up within a 5 min walk, accessibility to MUNI public transport is good too. The private balcony is surrounded by trees and is very relaxing, and the views from the roof terrace are stunning (Golden Gate Bridge and Coit Tower). We could also hear the seals from Fishermans Wharf from the roof terrace in the early morning!
The North Beach area is far nicer than the Union Square area where most major hotels are, I would thoroughly recommend that overseas visitors stay here rather than pay more for a downtown hotel. The apartment is located on a very steep hill so we had plenty of exercise walking up and down Filbert St!
Staying at the apartment was no hassle, and it has a fridge, cooker, tv, radio etc, everything that is needed for a week stay.
I know the owner can't control the weather, but what a beautiful time to visit the city! The roof top deck was spectacular and the Telegraph Hill location made a very pleasant week indeed. The apartment was spotless and the full kitchen was a delight to cook in, although the selection of North Beach Italian restaurants is hard to beat.
I would recommend leaving the car outside the city, the walk down the hill to the bus or cable car is very pleasant and there is a well supplied "Zip Car" lot (7 cars I think) on Columbus at Filbert when a car is needed.
I would recommend this property to anyone that can walk.
Lovely and comfortable apartment in a great neighborhood.
Minutes from transportation and great landmarks like Washington Square Park and Chinatown, this apartment is in the middle of everything in the northeast section of the city. Full of Famous and Infamous establishments, the neighborhood offers everything you need within an easy stroll. The roof deck is a nice quiet place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the parrots return to Telegraph Hill for the night, view the sunset, and watch the city lights appear. The apartment itself is very comfortable with a FULLY equipped modern kitchen, fireplace, bathroom with great features like the a movable, adjustable shower head and retractable skylight cover, and heat lamps, and lots of storage throughout. The deck has a propane grill and looks out over the property's private courtyard.
We stayed here for a week at the end of September and loved it. Everything had been updated with high end appliances and granite counter tops. We took the Super Shuttle from the airport which worked out perfectly because it dropped you right at the door. You would not want to be lugging your luggage up some of these streets. It was $27 for two people which I thought was quite reasonable! Again the apartment was great, lots of room and a fantastic view from the roof top deck. Very clean and comfortable and you are a short walk to Fishermans Warf and Pier 39. Higly recommend the City Pass if you are not planning on renting a car. Would highly recommend this place to friends and family.
The 4 previous reviews say it way better then I can, all that is writen is true, We where actualy very agreably surprised with everything, much more then we expected, ,this place is a must if you really want to enjoy a visit to San Francisco.
The listing described the property beautifully but it was better when we arrived. Large apt. well equippted, fully stocked kitchen. The grill on the patio was perfect. When the fog lifted and we could see the Golden Gate Bridge from Patio and roof deck my spirits soared. Coit tower over your shoulder is so dramatic. The hill is steep,Elizabeth was not kidding, but the neighborhood is wonderful. If you are a walker you will be in heaven. If not, cabs are available and mass transit is close by. The owner was very gracious in answering all our questions. I haven't been home a week and have already recommended this flat to our friends.
