Comfy 1BD with Roof Deck, Golden Gate Bridge Views
A lovely one bedroom just off of popular Union St in the Marina/Cow Hollow district of San Francisco. There is a luxurious, remodeled bathroom en suite to the bedroom (see photos), as well as a granite-counter top kitchen with all you need to cook a fantastic dinner. Off the bedroom, a flight of stairs leads to a roof deck with Golden Gate Bridge views.
The bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with memory foam pillows (as well as normal feather pillows available in the closet). The living room is cozy and overlooks St. Vincent DePaul Church.
The owner lives in the unit, so it is fully stocked and has a homey feel, though there will be clothes in the closet and food in the cupboards (but we'll make space for all of your stuff!).
Airbnb describes Cow Hollow as:
"Cow Hollow’s bustling main street attracts cafe dwellers, designer-label shoppers, the artistically inclined, and everyone in between. Brimming with modern restaurants, boutiques, and galleries, Cow Hollow is a San Franciscan treat. This neighborhood’s undeniable popularity ensures it's always crowded."
Some other notes on the apartment and the surrounding areas:
Cow Hollow is located in the northern part of SF and the majority of attractions are accessible by walking or public transportation. The apartment is located on several MUNI lines including:
MUNI 41 — picks up a block away on Union St and goes through North Beach toward the Ferry Building and Financial District
MUNI 45 — picks up a block away on Union St and goes through North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square, and ends near AT&T; Ballpark and the Caltrain (which connects SF to the Peninsula and San Jose)
MUNI 22 — picks up right outside the building on Steiner St and goes through Japantown, Alamo Square, the Castro, and the Mission.
Like most of San Francisco, street parking is difficult to get, especially after 5 or 6 pm. Parking is easier on the weekends. We are in a residential permit area (although there is metered parking just a couple of blocks away on Union St as well as several parking garages). Here are some general guidelines to keep in mind about parking in our area:
**Two hour parking limit without a permit, enforced Monday-Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm.
** Always remember to curb your tires on hills — we've seen several cars ticketed for failing to do this!
**In permit areas you must move your vehicle after the posted time limit (typically 1 to 2 hours) if you don't have a permit. The law requires you to move one block away or at least one-tenth (1/10) of a mile—about 500 feet. Do not drive around and then park in the same block, or you can be ticketed!

This is a large one-room apartment on the first floor of our house. It's totally private like a hotel but with it's own entrance. A lot of thought went into creating The Secret Lounge as we wanted a private space that our parents could stay in when they visit their grandchildren. In the times between visits, we are open to renting it out as we are avid travelers and always like to stay off the beaten path as well and enjoy meeting like-minded people.
