Best Townhome in The Mission--Wifi - Dazzling Light - Dolores Park
You are our house guest at Mission Manor on the 2nd floor flat of an enchanting, San Francisco townhome, ideally located in the vibrant Mission Dolores area, between the Castro, the Mission District, and Noe Valley. With a walk score of 95, a tra …
We arrived at Mission Manor on September 17th and stayed till September 22. This townhome was perfect for 7 women. It was spotless, light and airy. The listing photos didn't do it justice. Laura met us when we arrived and answered all of our questions. They also had a binder available for everything else we may have questions about. It felt like home. This location has easy access to public transportation, restaurants and anything else you may need. We spent most of our time doing the usual sightseeing trips and therefore ate most of our meals in. The kitchen was very well equipped. I would recommend this property to both friend and relative. Loved it!!!!
We just returned from a family wedding in San Francisco. Since the 8 of us seldom get to see each other, we really wanted a place where we could be together. I can't say enough about how warm and accommodating Karen and Amy were. Mission Manor is a beautiful retreat in an extremely convenient, safe location. The house is beautifully appointed and the food that they provided was delicious and generous. We could not have asked for more. We highly recommend Mission Manor and look forward to our next visit! Thank you, Karen and Amy!!
The location was great; so close to the beautiful Dolores Park and great coffee shops and restaurants.
The bedrooms were well equipped with comfortable mattresses and blankets. It was suitable for a number of family members attending a wedding. We would recommend this vrbo to others for sure. The property was clean and well-maintained.
This Mission district home had all the amenities we needed for our group of 11. The bedrooms were spacious, the home was very well maintained and clean. Because there are so many great restaurants in this area, we ate out most of the time. But was was very convenient to have the owners' stock the kitchen with various traditional breakfast items. The home was very near a Bart station which was very convenient for heading to Powell station (to catch the trolley) and the Embarcadero (to visit the Ferry Building during the open market). We also had a mini-van which didn't fit in the home's garage, but the Hoff street parking was nearby and inexpensive ($22/day). Most of us really enjoyed being in the Mission district. It is a bit transitional, but I found that it added a certain uniqueness to our trip. For example, we viewed the wall murals in the nearby allies, we ate at the Bi-rite creamery just around the corner, the kids played in the playground near the Hoff street garage, and of course the location was a foodie's dream!
This house was everything it advertised and more! Incredible location and perfect for our weekend stay. The bedrooms were all very comfortable including the pull out in the den. I highly recommend Claire's Deli and the 500 Club right at the end of the block. Dolores park is a great scene! The kitchen was fully stocked with fresh fruit and treats and it really felt like home. Amy and Karen are the best! We were sad to leave but excited to return.
I stayed at Mission Manor for several days with 9 other guests (5 couples). It was a great experience, and I'd recommend it to any other groups traveling with a large party. It's very rare to find a house that is so well suited to 5 couples - each couple got their own, private room (even the couple on the fold-out couch) and it was hard to tell which room was best.
Karen and Amy made sure that our stay was wonderful. They gave us plenty of breakfast and snack foods for our long stay and were helpful when we needed a late check out.
The house itself is beautiful, and it is in an amazing location. It is within blocks of Dolores Park, Tartine Bakery, Bi-Rite Creamery, and many other restaurants and shops. It was also extremely easy to get around by foot. BART was on strike during the first part of our stay, but it really didn't make a difference for us, because the neighborhood is very walkable and also close to multiple other forms of public transportation.
I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone.
Clean, well maintained, secure, well kept, comfortable home with all the amenities. Near public transportation, near good restaurants and bars, laid out so that everyone in the group had some privacy. Owner provided great variety in breakfast food, as well as a surprise to celebrate a special anniversary. We would go back.
Beautiful home in a fantastic location in the Mission district. We were warmly welcomed by the host and given a brief, but thorough tour. They already had lots of keys ready for our group of 4.
I've never seen a kitchen so well stocked for a rental. When we arrived, we had fresh croissants, strawberries, orange juice, milk, more fruit than we could hope to eat, cereal, and more. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. The bathrooms were well stocked with toiletries as well. Each room was spotless, and the bedding was very nice. The rooms were tastefully decorated.
My _only_ complaint was the parking. We were initially able to arrange parking with the owner in front of the building, but we needed to move the car later when she needed to get out. At one point we parked on the street, forgot to move the car on Monday morning, and were hit with a $60 ticket. Our fault. There are a couple of garages nearby with clear instructions in the welcome book, so it's managed well. I just wish that part were easier. Such is life in San Francisco I think.
I would definitely return. There are lots of restaurants within a single block of the house that I look forward to trying sometime. :)
This was an excellent stay. Planned a birthday party for my 25 year old and it could not have turned out better. Mission Manor was exactly as advertised but better! The rooms and home were very clean and there was obvious attention to every detail. With ages from 24 to 62 I was a little unsure if this was the right fit,,,,I was moren than pleased and happy! The owner was not only helpful with our weekend plans, she even had a huge Birthday Cake in the kitchen when we arrived!!!
I would highly recommend this property to any one. it is easy to access public transportation, restaurants abound and there is more to see than you have time for. I look forward to going back to this wonderful residence.
It was also very affordable and so lovely. We could not have asked for more! It was so nice to come home in the afternoon /evening and gather in the kitchen or living room and just be girls! Loved it!
I would recommend Mission Manor to any San Fransisco visitor! The rooms are gorgeous, the house is lovely, and the property manager is super nice. My co-workers and I stayed here for a recent work trip, and we had a great time. The kitchen is stocked with delicious food for breakfast/snacking and the location is close to a lot of shops and amazing restaurants. If I HAD to list a drawback, it's that the nearest BART stop has a lot of homeless people, but hey, that just comes with the territory of San Fransisco. Overall, we loved Mission Manor!
Had a fantastic experience with Mission Manor- excellent description, Karen and Amy were a complete delight, the house is beautifully furnished and impeccably kept, and the stocked kitchen was incredible. The location is perfect, we all slept like logs, and people that came to visit were floored at how nice the apartment was. Would definitely stay here again- one of the best rental experiences I've had.
Had a great time while in San Francisco and much of it was due to having such a great house and wonderful property manager. She greeted us warmly upon our arrival and gave great recommendations about our planned itinerary. Her recommendations were excellent and very helpful. The home was very nice and easily accommodated our party of eight from Michigan. We are all in our late 50's and have discriminating tastes. The house was neat and clean. The well stocked kitchen easily accommodated all of us. The house was very close to local public transportation (BART and streetcar) and never required us to have a car or take a taxi. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I would recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to San Francisco. We would definitely return to this property.
Our family met in San Francisco for a four-day week-end.Mission Manor was a wonderful place to stay and so convenient to public transportation as well as neighborhood restaurants and parks. Amy was so helpful. IWe would definitely recommend this house to my friends!
The owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Great amenanties, full kitchen, washer & dryer, free internet. The location is within walking distance from all forms of public transportation. We will definitely come calling once again.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the accommodations, and the incredible thoughtfulness in providing every possible comfort. We were even suprised to find that a "kind spirit" had tidied up the kitchen and waste without our seeing anyone tangible. Amy Morris' introduction was very thorough, intelligent and detailed. The rooms, furnishings, snacks and provisions, kitchen and TVs and living room and accommodations were first rate in every possible way. Our group of seven IMMEDIATELY began referring to returning "home" with each excursion. We heartily recommend and intend to use Mission Manor again, even for individual business travel and one room whenever coming to the area.
