Affordable Garden Apartment by Golden Gate Park & Ocean Beach

    San Francisco

Clean, affordable garden apartment located in a quiet neighborhood. Short walk to Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, Sutro Heights, the Legion of Honor, Golden Gate National Recreation Areas and Lincoln Park Golf Course. One bedroom with queen bed p …

Our family of four needed a place to stay just before Christmas when visiting relatives. This place was perfect — quiet, near Golden Gate Park and the ocean, fully stocked, and comfortable. I recommend it highly.
      Very nice apartment and neighborhood.
.From the outside, it looks just like any other apartment on the street, entering through the garage, we were pleasantly surprised to see how attractively furnished the rooms were with the added feature of an enclosed patio with hot tub. Conveniently located near the Golden Gate State Park, we found several good morning walks, neighborhood restaurants, and easy access to the Muni (public transportation).
Wonderful apartment, much nicer then the pictures show. Very clean & comfortable & provided all the basic necessities. Close to grocery/convenient stores. Very nice & safe neighborhood. Owner was able to help when we locked our stroller in the garage when we were leaving even though he was across town. He had a neighbor there with a key within 15 minutes. They were also able to provide a pack n'play which made traveling across country with an infant much easier. The seperate bedroom is wonderful for a baby. You can still stay up after the baby is asleep, not like being cramped in a hotel room. Hot tub is a total bonus!
Nice place. We are a family of four with kids (boys) 21 and 16. The place was clean and comfortable and the owner very accommodating. Good location, lots of bus lines close by, and close to Golden Gate Park. Not much close by in the way of restaurants and bars though. I'd recommend it for a small family with younger kids. Hot tub was terrific as the weather was cold and damp all during our stay.
The pictures do not do this rental justice! It's so big and better than any hotel room. Really great decor, very spacious, but yet cozy with so many amenities that we didn't even have a chance to use like their hot tub. The location is great and lots of great places within walking distance. This is definately my go to place when I revisit San Francisco. The owner was so nice and super hospitable...I want to keep this rental as my little secret because it must be available the next time I return.
A little far from the downtown but the bus system made it easy enough to get here and there, as did the fact that we walked for miles as one of the best ways to see things we wouldn't have normally! Apartment nice and clean, beds nice and comfy, and pretty quiet area. Hot tub was a bonus.
My husband, daughter and I enjoyed the apartment very much. It was extremely clean and well maintained and had very nice art work throughout the apartment and backyard. The kitchen was equipped with all of the necessities. It is in a great location and neighborhood. We would definately stay there again next opportunity to be in San Francisco. The owner was very thoughtful and helpful.
We had such a relaxing stay here. It's the perfect location if you're looking to be close to the fabulous offerings of San Francisco, but also love being near the beach and fabulous hikes at Land's End. Rob had everything we needed on hand. The hot tub was an excellent bonus that added to the relaxing and comforting setting. Parking is hit or miss, but even though we had to drive around a bit, we did always find a spot within a few blocks.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION

NEIGHBORHOOD: Located on the border of MISSION, HAYES VALLEY and SOMA neighborhoods. The three most trendy areas in the city! It is very central with easy access to Downtown or Castro via Muni (SF subway, only 2 stops away!) light train, bus or even within walking distance. You will be in the middle of the trendy shops and bars of the Hayes Valley, the new tech companies of SOMA and the melting pot of the Mission.

MISSION. The Mission has the best weather in the city, especially around this block. It is frequently warm and sunny when the rest of the city can be cold and foggy. In addition to that, it is less windy than many neighborhoods.

Residents in the Mission are incredibly diverse. Artists, street people, professionals and the general SF lot mix. Its gentrification is making it one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city.

HAYES VALLEY. This San Francisco vacation rental is located in the heart of Hayes Valley. Unlike some other parts of San Francisco, Hayes Valley has managed to retain a sense of community and a nonexclusive feel despite the fast build-up and high price tags. Some of the businesses that braved the less-than-savory days are still around, such as the Hayes Street Grill, now twice its original size. But many of the shops sprouted up in the '90s, making Hayes Valley a real destination spot. The combination results in a wide diversity in clientele. While high-end San Franciscans sip $7 cocktails at Absinthe, down the street many are powering down an entire meal for around the same price at Flipper's. Now, tourists also head here specifically for the shopping, for one-of-a-kinds like a buffalo-leather chair or an exclusive Sue Wong Art Deco gown. The Hayes Valley commercial sector is young in age, but adult in style. As a destination, it serves theater and symphony patrons as well as high-end fashion and furnishing shoppers.

SOMA: South of Market is a huge district, sprawling from the Embarcadero to Eleventh Street, between Market and Townsend. The neighborhood is a patchwork of warehouses, swanky nightspots, residential hotels, art spaces, loft apartments, furniture showrooms and the notorious Internet companies. Although a lot of building has gone on in recent years, it is still not densely developed. You can walk several desolate blocks before suddenly finding a hopping restaurant. Most of the action can be found in three general areas: by South Park and the Giants ballpark, around the SF MOMA and Yerba Buena gardens, and over by Folsom and Eleventh Street. SoMa, as it's known, sounds a little like a SoHo wannabe, and it does have a strong downtown vibe.

PARKING SITUATION
