Family Friendly Great For Two Families
This beautiful home located in san bruno 3 miles from sfo. Twelve miles south of san francisco. Bart (bay area rapid transit) is located 3 miles down the hill that will take you into san francisco if you decide not to drive.
From the livingroom …
We had a great time at Christine's house. The house is located at a superb quite neighborhood. Warm, clean and cozy, we definitely felt like home. The backyard garden was awesome, my 1 year old had a amazing time crawling on the grass with my nieces, while we drank our coffee on the balcony =) My mother had a great time cooking at the fully stocked kitchen. The only thing missing from the house was a microwave. We definitely recommend this house and would love to stay here again at our next trip in SF. Thank you Christine.
Everything about this rental was perfect. From location to cleanliness to amenities , everything was as advertised and more. Christine was excellent to work with, quick, responsive, helpful. Highly Recommended.
The hosue was cute and spacious. We had come up for the 49ers game and the location was perfect, not too far from the stadium, the airport and a short drive into the city. This was our first HomeAway that is not specifically a rental so that was a bit different. Really liked the tv system down stairs and the view out the big windows upstairs. Christine was easy to communicate with and let us do two nights versus the required three. Generally it was clean but they may want t otry a new celaning service. Thanks so much for sharing your home. I would recommend this home to others and may stay again soon.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting Bay Area. Home was easy to find and conveniently located to markets, gas stations and restaurants and Christine was very nice and helpful. Home was exactly as described in listing and very well maintained. My older son especially enjoyed the downstairs media center which he quickly claimed as his man cave as he was the one staying in bedroom on bottom floor and having the games was a plus for my two boys. The deck was a nice place to have coffee in the morning and watch the humming birds. Christine, you have a great place thanks...The Sarme's
Overall it was a good place to stay beds very comfortable and plenty of room. Kitchen well stocked but an electric kettle and a microwave is needed. Thanks for everything derek
I just wanted to let you know what a nice time we had and you have such a lovely home. Accommodations worked our perfectly as my older son loved the downstairs area which he claimed for himself. And having the Xbox was a total plus for both my boys. You’re place was easily found and very conveniently located. The kitty (bailey I think) was a cutie and we did put out food for him/her every evening. I did try to get most of the towels washed and into the dryer but there was a couple which didn’t make it into the washer.
We had a wonderful time there and I hope we can get back again soon.
You have a wonderful day.
My family and I (a total of 6 adults) had more than enough room in this gorgeous house! We loved the downstairs deck and the dining room had a beautiful view of the city. It was central to our weekend plans, only a short drive to the city and the airport upon our departure. If we're in the area again we will definitely try to stay here!
First off I would just like to say that this was our first experience using homeaway, and the experience couldn't have gone any smoother.
The property itself is as described. Beautiful, and definitely was enough space for 7 people, and 1 baby. The space itself was well kept, clean, offered us the luxuries of a kitchen and dishwasher (helped us with bottles, home made meals, etc.). Not only that but there was a washer and dryer available so that we could easily wash any clothes we had, which came in handy for the baby!
One of the things we enjoyed about the space was the deck out back. There were several mornings where we sat out there enjoying coffee and enjoying the cool breeze of the bay.
Christine (the owner) was nothing but the best. She was very understanding and even got us a pack and play for the baby.
Lastly the location was perfect for us. We were visiting family in San Jose but also wanted to be close to San Francisco so that we could see the sights. This was the perfect launching point for both. It was a quick 20 minute drive (depending on traffic) into the city, and for the more savvy travelers, the BART is close by offering public transport into the city. Not only that but it was only a 35-40 minute drive to San Jose.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, clean home and it sure beats staying at a hotel. If I ever travel with a big group again to the bay area, we will definitely try and stay at this place!
It was the first time i rented a house for vacation and it won't be the last .
Me and my wife , our son and our fiends with their three kids spent 5 days in San Francisco and it was the perfect way to stay there .
We had three bedroom and an extra bed in the media room downstairs for our son and it was more than enough for all of us .
The house was super clean and had everything we needed to cook, a table outside we used for breakfast .
I was worried about driving to downtown SF but it was actually great , 28 minutes to get right into downtown and when we left around 830 am , we had no traffic.
WiFi was fast and we got free parking in front of the house ;)
Like i said , better than the hotel and the owner Christine was really helpful and always responded to our emails , she really made sure the home was ready for us and it showed.
I will surely book this house again if we go back there .
We loved the property and Christine's warmth and welcoming personality made our stay even better. The house was clean and the extra towels and linens were great .
Drive to downtown Frisco is easy and it feels great to relax away from the city.
Check out downtown San Bruno , great little town.
I traveled with a group of 8 to the Bay Area and was fortunate enough to come across this great house. More than enough room to accommodate everyone comfortably and a couple big rooms where the whole group could hang out. Clean and quiet neighborhood. View of the bay from the back yard (albeit through some power lines). Christine was incredibly hospitable and provided us with everything we could have wanted and more! She had a couple chickens in the back yard that provided fresh eggs in the morning. (Only drawback to that was the one morning that the chickens were awake before we wanted to be... but really not that bad.)
Clean, comfortable, quiet (except for the chickens), 3 miles to the San Bruno BART station. I would definitely stay here again... especially if travelling with a group.

Castro Garden Paradise
This is an AMAZING renovated seven-room, three-bedroom, 1.5 bath single family home in the Castro District in San Francisco! It is filled with original antiques and furnishings which were chosen to provide an authentic Victorian experience for our guests. The property includes a private driveway with an automatic gate leading to a parking area that will accommodate up to 3 cars! Be aware that off-street parking is really essential if you’re traveling with a car in San Francisco – even if there is street-parking available, most residential neighborhoods limit non-resident parking to 2-hours.
The 4,000 square ft. garden with a detached garage, and potting shed is virtually unheard of in the City. The yard has a brick BBQ grill, and is filled with mature trees of all sorts including figs, avocados, and plums. The home was moved to its current location after the 1906 earthquake on a sled pulled by horses! The tool shed on the lower-level was originally the house’s horse stable, and was in use until the early 20’s. We purchased the home from the family that moved it to the property over a hundred years ago!
You enter the house on the main-level through the beautiful living room with walls lined with photos of the original owners. You then enter a hallway with the staircase leading to the upstairs bedrooms. Each room has a queen-size bed and is furnished with additional antique pieces. Heading down the stairs, you enter the dining room with a lovely round oak table that can be extended to seat six. Off the dining room is the third bedroom / office / media room with a queen-size sofa-bed, a 55” LED flat-screen television, HD cable, a Blu-Ray player, and a comfortable desk with an all-in-one printer for your use. Note: Although this is a 100 year old home, it is equipped with all the electronic bells and whistles including a full home-automation / security system, and very high speed (50Mbs) WiFi internet access.
At the rear of the house off the dining room is a large “Julia Child” vintage kitchen which is fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. Just off the kitchen is a small foyer leading to a full bath and the staircase to the lower-level. On the lower-level there is a separate toilet, wash sink, and full laundry facilities. The laundry room leads to the former stable with access to the garden.
The garden is truly one of the best features of the property. It is literally a million-dollar lot that was never developed, and maintained as open space. This provides a unique tree-filled tranquil area that will make you forget you are in the middle of a bustling city!
The home is on a tree-lined street in the heart of the San Francisco where you will find amazing shops, bars and restaurants. It is a wonderful area to explore on foot, and there is ready access to public transportation: Walk Score: 95, Transit Score: 98! The MUNI Metro Stop is 1 block away next to a terrific park with a great children’s playground. The Metro will have you downtown in 15 minutes, and the house is 5 minutes by car away from Highway 101. We have lived in this neighborhood for over 25 years and we LOVE the area, and you will too!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
