We had a wonderful stay at Napoleon Street in Sydney. Brigit greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment and a short walk around the Roselle area which is quiet and charming. We love the friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The apartment is quite comfortable and has a lot of artistic charm. The enclosed garden and view from the upper balcony are delightful. The morning lorikeets in the trees are amazing. Having a washing machine and WIFI access was also appreciated. It was very easy to take a combination of bus/ferry to both Darling Harbor and the Circular Quay. The bus ride to the Balmain East ferry dock was very interesting and the driver and passengers were quite helpful. This morning we enjoyed browsing at the Saturday market which is two blocks away on Darling Street by the school. There are a plethora of small ethnic restaurants, bakeries and fruit and produce markets on nearby Darling Street. We enjoyed a very nice dinner at the Harvest Vegetarian restaurant which is two blocks away on Evans Street. Cab drivers use GPS so you don't have to worry about finding the apartment from the airport.
This was one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in: perfect location with the shops and the café life of Rozelle only 2 minutes away, just15 minutes to the city centre and most importantly the apartment itself which is on three floors. It was spotlessly clean, light and airy with great views of the Harbour Bridge from the rear balcony. Although close Darling Street it is so quiet you could easily think that you are in a rural area! Brigit was a wonderful host and very interesting to talk to. There was an added bonus in that Brigit lent us a parking permit which covered the area in Rozelle that we were staying. There was always plenty of parking spaces available just remember to park the way of the traffic is headed as it is an offence to park against the flow of traffic! We can highly recommend this area of Sydney and particularly Brigit's apartment which we will not hesitate to use when back in Sydney. We must remember to book well in advance not to be disappointed as it is such a gem! Thank you Brigit.
We had the pleasure of staying at Brigit's place during a recent family reunion in Pyrmont, so we were perfectly positioned for this, and also therefore we unfortunately didn't spend enough time at her house ! However, while we were there, we enjoyed it very much. Brigit has been most thoughtful in her provision for her guests, and we enjoyed the way she has presented the place and the options for outdoors popping up in three spots. The proximity to Darling street and all that it offers was also a plus. We would never hesitate to return to this very pleasant and convenient townhouse in Sydney. Maureen & Alan
Everything was perfect, we didn't want to leave! Brigit is a great host & very welcoming. The cottage was spacious, light and airey, and in a great location. It is rare to find accommodation which matches up to it's photos and expectations. Highly recommended.
This is a very lovely place – I think quite the nicest we’ve stayed in, certainly on this trip! And it’s really great being in a neighborhood with all the amenities to hand.
We had a wonderful time in this charming house. Everything was as described even better - the house is much bigger than it looks on the photographs, it is extremely clean and peaceful.
A highly recommended place to stay - will definitively come back there again!
