In one of the most fashionable district of Rome, the Prati one, very close to Piazza Mazzini, Via Cola di Rienzo (rich in shops and restaurants) and the Tiber river, this 150 sqm apartment is placed on the 3rd floor of a palace built in the early 1900s (elevator accessible), in a so chic lane that will amaze you.
Just renewed, well fitted out and furnished with taste (the owner is a well-known photographer... the art penetrates every space!), the apartment is the perfect stay for a numerous family or for a large group of friends: in fact, it hosts up to 8 persons, who comfortably can sleep in three double bedrooms and in a double sofa bed. The guests have at their disposal three coloured bathroom with shower (one of these is ensuite), a fully equipped kitchen (with oven, fridge, toaster, water kettle), a little studio and a homey living room, decorated with plants and books.
The apartment has all the indispensable amenities for an enjoyable holiday, such as air conditioning, heating system, a free wi-fi connection, a washing machine and a flat screen TV. So, all is flawless inside the walls, but everything is perfect outside the door too: as I said at the beginning, the area is very central, and in a few steps you'll be able to reach St. Peter, the Vatican Museums, Castel Sant'Angelo and Piazza del Popolo. But if you prefer to move by means, you'll have at your disposal many options, like the metro A stops "Lepanto" and "Ottaviano" at 500 meters, numerous buses and a tram-line.
And, on top of that, the Prati district is famous for its stylish shops and its lively locales, always full of young Romans and tourists. In this regard, I suggest you to try the atmosphere of Settembrini, a café, restaurant and bookshop set close to Piazza Mazzini: with an ingenious and attractive design, it proposes you a complete offer, from breakfast to dinner, lest forget the happy hour. Furthermore, to have a little bit of fun, you have to stop by the permanent museum dedicated to video games, the Vigamus, a place for kids and for eternal children (Via Sabotino, street number 4).
How to get here from Fiumicino airport and Termini station:
- you can take the Leonardo Express train to the Termini station (15€) and then the metro A ("Battistini" direction) until "Lepanto" stop (6 stops). Get off and proceed on foot along Viale Giulio Cesare, Via Lepanto, Viale delle Milizie and Via Francesco De Santis.
- If you prefer, I can arrange a car for you from the airport to the apartment.
