My husband and I wanted a place near our daughter so we could spend time with our 2 year old grandson. This was the perfect place. It was clean and neat and had all of the necessary things we needed to be comfortable. I even baked some brownies and found the proper pan to use. The location is good for taking a walk to the grocery store or to the beach. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and we had no problem finding parking. We hope to return for another stay at thei wonderful place.
We are from Texas. My wife and I (with our two teenage daughters) enjoyed our stay. The place looked just like the photos. It was clean. Hosts were very responsive - even bought a fan when a freak heat wave came through. No AC but cooler temps at night with the winds from the ocean. Shopping and restaurants close by. Must try Eat At Joes for local breakfast. Great neighborhood. It was a little further from the beach than expected - too long of a walk carrying coolers/beach accessories. Biking would have been fine but they only have two available. Car a must to visit all the different beaches up and down the coast. Parking on the street not too bad. Give it a 4 1/2. Would give it a 5 if it had AC and was not a bottom floor unit. THANKS JENNIFER !!!
Jennifer was extremly accomodating. The condo was spotless, recently remodeled and comfortable. We loved using the 2 bikes to ride to the beach and the drive to Redondo or Hermosa took about 10 minutes which is great in LA!
This was the perfect house! Everything was better in person than shown in the pictures! Very clean! The bottled water, shampoo, etc was just wonderful! Jennifer was there if we needed anything! Will plan on visiting again! Made the wedding of my son stress free!
The place was in a perfect location! It was mine and my husbands first time in CA and we were right in the middle of everything. Jennifer was more than helpful before, during, and after our stay. Great amenities, and great decor! I definitely plan on continuing to book with Jennifer and Brian when we go back and visit!
My wife and I spent an enjoyable week at this property. It was everything described and more. The owner made the whole experience pleasant from beginning to end, with ample communication, clear instructions, a fully equipped kitchen with supplies, even detergent and softener sheets for the in-house washer and dryer. The property was in tip-top shape and comfortable for everyday use. There were bikes, beach chairs and boogie boards for our use. The house is in a very nice, friendly and safe residential neighborhood, yet only blocks from retails districts and the beautiful Redondo beach. Not only would we recommend this to our friends, but we intend to make it our first choice when returning to Redondo beach.
Excellent location and the house was great. This was much better than the South Bay Marriott hotel -which was more expensive.. Parking was easy and the bike access was a nice benefit.. Highly recommended.
We loved all the updated amenities; was close to everything we needed. Had a very enjoyable time -- looking forward to coming back next year.
The good news is that the apartment is newly refurbished. It looks like a showroom from IKEA (that's a good thing). It is convenient to stores, restaurants and the beach. We found it to be clean and well provisioned with paper products and even coffee. The not so good news is that the upstairs neighbor is up at 5:00 a.m. and unless you are a heavy sleeper, you too will be up at 5:00 a.m. Also, the apartment is fairly dark since it is the ground level apartment wedged between two neighboring homes. On street parking can be an issue. If you are out at night, you may need to park as far as a block away from the apartment.
Everything was in tip-top shape upon arrival! Communication was easy and efficient between the owner. We did not spend a great deal of time in the apartment; however, due to the arrival of a new grandchild! Would definitely stay again--parking was an issue if you came back late to the apartment; however, felt very safe walking several blocks.

Brand New Under the Hollywood Sign
Beautiful 1930's outbuilding converted to a cozy 400 sq foot studio w/ loft. Kitchen, bathroom w/shower, a spacious garden type detached space. Queen bed in loft big enough for two. Hollywood Hills location beneath the Hollywood Sign. Hiking and horseback riding nearby. Public transportation 1/4 mile away.

'Jasmine Cottage' is located in Historic Hollywoodland 1/4 of a mile above the gates, this cottage is set back off the street in a quiet neighborhood known for it's European style architecture. The main house has been featured in magazines, The L A Times and several 'storybook cottage' architectural books. The stamped tin ceilings of the rental cottage, extensive use of wood, exposed beams, leaded windows, etc were an attempt to stay in the '30s Hollywood style. This is a perfect space for two bed!

The rental cottage and it's outdoor entrance patio area are included.
The main house and yard are private and excluded.

We are on the property pretty much 24/7 and happy to assist you in any way we can. We've lived here for 40 years and know the area pretty well. Having said that we value and respect you privacy and will do everything we can to insure it while you're here.

You can walk out the door and hike through the hills for miles. Jack and his faithful dog, Louie are avid hikers and know all the local trails and would be delighted to share their favorites. The Sign, Maddona/Wolf Castle hike above Lake Hollywood, Mt Cahuenga and all of Griffith Park are nearby. There are 8 sets of 'historic' staircases...a 176 step monster 3 houses up the street if that's what you like and I can give you a route over them that will take care of your cardio for the day! It's unusual to run into anyone using them at the same time, unlike other parts of town.
On the other hand, you can walk 1/4 mile down the hill to the Beachwood Cafe, the Beachwood Market or the Cleaners for any of their services...or catch the bus down the hill to Hollywood and Vine (across from the Pantages Theater...'Warhorse, Book of Mormon, Lion King, etc) where you can walk the length of Hollywood Boulevard all the way down to The Chinese Theater and the Dolby Center (Oscars). The bus connects to a subway, The Metro that can take you downtown to historic Olivera Street and the birthplace of Los Angeles for some tasty Mexican cuisine, or China Town or Little Tokyo nearby. Take the Metro north two stops to Universal City with all their rides, attractions, restaurants and movies. (My favorite eatery there is Buca di Beppo for family style Italian!)

Bus, Metro, cabs, shuttles are all available here. If you have a car be sure to get a gps.
And we'll be happy to help you sort it out if needs be.

Santa Monica Beach is 1/2 hour away and the Venice Boardwalk is a must see. Hollywood Forever Cemetery is about 3 miles away...lots of stars buried there and they have movies and all kinds of functions at night. You'll hear coyotes howl sometimes at night and loads of owls. This is one of the best places to go birding in the's kind of like being out in the country in the middle of the city.
