Location, location, location......this property is in a lovely neighborhood where we could walk to Old Town pasadena and drive anywhere. it is about 4-6 minutes drive to the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center for a great place to swim while visiting. kitchen was well equipped and space was bright and cheery. When we did have a minor problem we emailed the owner and problem was immediately attended to. Actually lots of space. We would definitely stay here again as we felt like it really was our home away from home.
I was in Pasadena on business and stayed at Bright Light at Waverly Green two separate weekends. This property is everything you see in the photos beautiful, clean, bright and well stocked in the kitchen (except both times I stayed I had to go out to buy sponges to wash the dishes, dishwasher doesn't work). The owner has impeccable taste, which makes it a delight to rent. I highly recommend this property as your home away from home!
The property is in an ideal place for a visit to Pasadena. It was comfortable, clean and was easy to find in a lovely residential area close to Old Town.The use of the garden was a bonus as it provided extra space to relax and enjoy either full sunshine or shade. The apartment was very well equipped and the only negative comment we could possibly make would be on the quality of the towels. However this was a minor issue in what was a great visit. I spoke to the owner before our arrival and met him during our stay and he could not have been more helpful. We would certainly want to use this property again if we are in the area.
Enjoyed staying here--this is a perfect location for Rose Bowl Parade attendees-we walked to our seats on the morning of the parade. Charming, eclectic decor and very clean. A short walk to shopping and restaurants in Pasadena from this lovely neighborhood.
This is the second holiday stay in the rental. It's clean, neat and well located. I would recommend it without reservation, and will return with my family.
Lovely property very well located for easy access to downtown Pasadena, which is an easy 10 - 15 minute walk away through a gracious neighbourhood. Although an expressway is two properties away, the house is very quiet at night and the neighbourhood feels very safe. The apartment is very well equipped with our only concern related to a lack of a corkscrew, extra garbage bags, and toilet paper and lack of detergent for the washer. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.
I rented this condo with a few friends for the weekend and found it to be a great value in a terrific location. It is close to all the shops and restaurants in Pasadena and on a very quiet street. The condo is well maintained very clean, has DirecTV and wireless Internet. If you are looking fo a quiet getaway in Pasadena you shoudl strongly consider this place.
The owner was also great to work with. Very responsive to all my questions. This was my first VRBO experience and I was VERY pleased.
We had a great time in the Penthouse @ Waverly Green. Such a great property and neighborhood! Very comfortable bed/linens. Huge back yard. Perfect.
If you like what you see in the photos and description, you will not be disappointed. The Penthouse at Waverly Green is spotless, comfortable and ideal for both business and leisure trips. The location (and the view!) can’t be beat. It’s situated in the middle of a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood yet only a short walk away from the shopping and dining of Old Town or a peaceful hike in the arroyo. John is extremely responsive and obviously takes great pride in this beautiful property. I hope to return soon.
My girlfriends and I enjoyed a weekend getaway to Pasadena. The Penthouse at Waverly Green is a charming place to stay and an incredible value. Less expensive than a hotel room, but with two rooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry facility - this is the way to go for anyone visiting Pasadena. Conveniently located within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping, I would highly recommend this rental. Very clean and well-appointed, it was a comfortble place to make our temporary home. Each morning we walked through the incredibly beautiful neighborhood. It was like a walking tour of Architectural Digest. Very quiet, safe, sidewalk-equipped and jaw-dropping gorgeous properties and landscaping surround you in this exceptional area. John was very responsive to all e-mails and calls. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience with this property and property owner.
I have done extensive business and personal travels throughout my life and this place made me feel like I was in my own home. Throughout my travels, I have gotten tired of staying in hotels and continue to try new places: personal apartments in Europe, B&Bs throughout the US, and even a floating house. With that said, I just wanted to say that this experience was right up at the top of my list. The place was immaculate: nicely furnished with a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings, comfortable bedding, and extremely spacious. The icing on the cake was the neighborhood. It was a nice break to be able to walk to Old Town Pasadena for dinners and through the great arroyo neighborhood. The only thing bad that I can say is that I had to try to squeeze in work as this was another business trip.
Came out from Chicago for a last second escape from the freeze and that's exactly what I got. Beautiful sunshine from lots of windows in every room warmed me right up. Great location for shopping and dining and checking out LA. Extra clean and a good value too! Loved the hammock and patio in the back. Who gets a suntan in February? I do!
