Studio in the heart of 'Le Village des Batignolles'
Beautiful studio through the first floor of an old Parisian building, with two large windows on street and garden. Very bright and quiet, refurbished. Entrance, bathroom with toilet and shower. Large room with bed 140 * 190, large wardrobe, sofa b …
My mom and I come from Canada and stayed in the studio for more than 3 weeks. It is a very nice studio, 5 minutes walk to metro station. This metro station has two metro lines, #2 and # 13 and you can transfer easily to any other metro lines or RER lines. The landlord is super nice and professional. He prepared all the useful information you need in the room. For example, he has information about the nearby supermarkets and restaurants with maps. One supermarket about 5 minutes by walk has lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, milk with very cheap price. He also provide all the cooking utilities and lots of bed sheets. The studio has one double bed and one sofa bed, both beds are very comfortable. He has free coffee and tea. He also provided umbrellas and adapters so you can charge your electronics devices no problem. He also has lots of books for tourists including many beautiful places you can visit in Paris. He also has Rick Steve’s Paris 2013 book and it tells you all the museum, parks open time, price, discount information, and some other very useful tour guide information. The flat TV has more than 300 channels, at least 8 of them are English channels such as CNN, BBC, CNBC,SKY News. There is a landline phone in the studio and you can call most countries’ landlines for free. It is more convenient than the hotel. The kitchen, bath room and living room are all very clean. There are lots of bars nearby. There is a police station 100 meters away make the area very safe. By the way, I don’t have any problem to get my damage deposit back. If you need anything, you can just call the landlord, he is very approachable. However, sometime he is busy and may take 2 days for him to reply to your email. If there is anything you cannot wait, you can just call him. If I am going to Paris in the future, I will definitely stay in the same studio.
My Girlfriend and I stayed in Jean Teddy's apartment for a week and loved it!
It's in a pretty good location, close to the train station, supermarket and restaurants.
Jean was really, really nice! He told us everything we needed to know and more; he had a whole folder full of places near (supermarket, markets etc) and how to get there. He went well above and beyond what was required of him. The apartment was small, but cute and interestingly spacious? Well, though it was small, there was enough room to do what you needed to do. It has a nice little kitchen with modern cookware.
We couldn't have asked for anything better. We loved our stay and would stay again in a heart-beat. Oh, and free calls to most placs in the world! Excellent!
This great studio apartment was my home for three months, Spring of 2012. I had a life-long dream of spending at least a year in Paris. But, alas, with my budget, that was quite out of the question. So I settled on three months. I did a lot of research in preparation for my Paris stay…searching for a particular combination of charm, ease of access and cost. I looked at many properties on Home Away and this delightful studio looked like it would fit all my needs….and it certainly did. Exactly as advertised - and more!
The property is located in the southeast corner of the 17th Arrondissement. The apartment building, on a quiet, narrow street, is full of old Parisian charm, with a winding (but perfectly accessible) stairway – the curved wooden hand-rail richly burnished by well over a hundred years of hands..
Even though I would have loved to have been in a romantic sixth-floor walk-up, with a rooftop view…. Montmartre and Sacre-Ceour are close by and would have made for a fantastic view……unfortunately, that time has passed. I wanted one flight of stairs – no more. I was surprised and pleased with my first view of the studio. In contrast to the aged charm of the main floor, the studio was modern - bright and shining clean….tall windows at each end of the room - one window looked out on the street (good for people-watching) and the other looked directly at a tall, majestic tree growing up out of a small courtyard with a garden and a blooming camellia bush. The studio had gleaming wood floors - modern furniture…a perfect bathroom and a roomy shower.
Later, as I explored the neighborhood, I found it had…everything!….several great bakeries – all within a few blocks, more great restaurants and cafe’s than you could explore even in three months, grocery stores, fruit and vegetable stands, a fabulous organic market every Saturday just two blocks away, drug stores…. In short, this is a neighborhood where people actually live, so everything you need is close by.
There are numerous transportation options nearby, and the property owner has assembled a thoroughly comprehensive resource to find them all.
The very best thing about this delightful home, away-from-home, in Paris, is the property owner’s care and attention to creating a space that anticipates the needs of the occupants – the traveler who needs a quiet, convenient place at the end of the day….and me….the dreamer who came to see Paris and, gratefully, found the perfect sanctuary.
My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The place was perfect! Extremely spacious and modern, it had everything we need and more. Clean, tidy and well maintained, the property looked exactly the same as the pictures provided above. We were greeted by Filippe and he gave us a nice brief introduction to the accommodation and surrounding area and answered any questions we had. There is also a very handy folder with all sorts of useful information if required.
Fillippe thought of everything! In addition to the usual amenities provided in other top notch accommodation, we found plasters, aloevera gel, first aid kits, sunblock etc. which came very handy after a long day of sightseeing! The only additional thing I could think of that could be useful is a weighing scale. The location is also very good, montmarte is only a short walk away and there are many places to eat and bakeries nearby. Everywhere else is accessible via the metro in place de clichy (definitely pick up 10 tickets for 12.50 on arrival).
Filippe was extremely accommodating and made himself contactable if we had any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone who is going to Paris.
Had a great time. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Was close to the Metro for easy travel around Paris. Many restaurants in area along with grocery shops and bakery.
From the moment we were greeted by the friendly owner, our stay at Rue Truffuat was perfect! The apartment was really comfortable, clean and brilliantly equipped with pretty much everything you could ever need! There were instructions for the appliances in several languages and the owner explained all the important things when we arrived. The apartment seems very secure as the building has a key card as well as the secure door to the apartment itself - we weren't worried about leaving any valuables there during the day. It is located close to the Place de Clichy Metro station and only a short walk from Montmartre (Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur etc). Also there are several boulangerie's and supermarkets close by. The only downside we could find was the apartment was quite light at night as the shutters and blinds do not block out the light from the streetlights outside but we solved this by covering the blinds with some towels.
If travelling from CDG Airport, the best way to get to the apartment is by the RER B train to Gare du Nord Station, and then by Metro to Place de Clichy. A single ticket costs €9.10 and covers the whole journey. When travelling round Paris, it's probably worth getting a carnet book of 10 tickets for €12.50 (each day ticket can also be used for multiple train changes as long as you don't leave the metro).
We had a brilliant time in Paris and would definitely recommend this apartment!
The price, location, and quality of this studio were top notch! We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and it was the best! The studio has lots of thoughtful items to make your stay pleasant, such as all the lights, the heaters, plenty of blankets, the coffee maker, the oven, wine glasses, etc. You can open the windows on each end of the room and get a nice breeze flowing through.
The street sounds are not so loud in this location. It’s also very secure and I had no worry of leaving our belongings while we were out and about.
I like it pitch black when I sleep. One problem is that the streetlights are very bright and even with the blinds closed it’s too much. I covered the window with a blanket, which solved the issue. It wasn’t until the last day that I realized that there are shutters that you can close over the windows if you lean out the window a bit. Also, the internet box generates a lot of light, but I just covered that with a black shirt and we were good.
The location is great for good food. There is a LOT of asian food in the area, but we came to France for French cuisine. What became our favorite restaurant was less that a block away (I forget the name, but it’s across rue des Dames from Aubergine Restaurant), and there is such a good boulangerie 2 or 3 blocks away (up rue des Dames). It’s also easy access to bus, metro, and there’s a Velibe station 1 block away.
The host is very kind and thoughtful and will help you with whatever you need to make your stay a pleasant one. Stay here... you will love it!
For us it was a special holiday, and certainly has contributed this beautiful home and the kindness of its owner. Perfect for two people, with two bright windows (one of which overlooks a pretty garden), fully equipped with everything you may need. It is located in a strategic position not far from Montmartre and the Grands Boulevards, and the two metro stations (Rome Place de Clichy) are very close. The neighborhood is quiet and very charming, full of nice little restaurants, and it was nice to stroll the rue de Rome, where there are many musical instruments shops (for musicians and music lovers can be very interesting ...).
We highly recommend it!
Amazing apartment for two persons,
had everything we needed. Literally everithing. Place is adorable, has window on both sides so it can be aired easily, had all electric appliances anyone needs for living (exept washing maschine, wich we didn't need anyways). Owner is very frendly and helpfull, price is more than acceptable. Had direct metro line to arc de triomphe, thou we walked every time. both center and montmarte is walking distance (15 min). Only market working after 9pm is in the same street as the apartment (works till 11.30pm) Best bakery we found in Paris is 100m in batignoles on the corner.
We'll be back definitely.
