Saint Germain des Pres charm, perfect equipment, the whole Paris best access
The exceptional studio location, 10 place Saint Sulpice, is in the historical center of Paris. Excellent bus and subway facilities around. The building is a family house 200 years old.
The cozy studio (24 m2, 260 sq.ft.) is located on the fifth a …
Location superb! Easy walking distance to most desired Paris locations with convenient bus and metro stops at hand yet, in the heart of a Parisian neighbourhood rich with history, art and glamour. Steps away are lovely local as well as international shops, the finest patisseries, gardens, cafe's and local merchants where one can purchase fresh product if wanting to have some meals or snacks at the studio. The area feels very safe and visitors are distanced from those who may annoy tourists in other areas....one feels like this is home for the time being....a very nice place to be. The building is very secure and the studio is quite comfortable with all the amenities one needs for the week or, as in my case, almost a month. Comfy bed, great shower, lots of light and sound of bells from local churches (but no noise from street) create a very charming atmosphere. Claude provided an initial tour of area which helps orient one and, he remained available throughout should train or concert tickets or, helpful tips/direction were needed. His support was there but in the most gracious and unobtrusive of ways. Couldn't recommend higher!
I spent an entire month in this wonderful studio over the holidays. The location is the best in Paris for transportation (10 bus lines nearby! no Metro stairs!), restaurants, ambiance, shopping, patisseries, etc. Claude and Lucile are wonderful hosts and able to answer any and all questions and are happy to make reservations, suggestions, etc. Everything in the studio is top notch: Nespresso machine for delicious morning coffee, induction burners for cooking, great shower, TV and DVD player with a zillion channels, comfortable bed The studio faces a quiet courtyard but the large window and 2 small skylights allow lots of light. I have already booked my return for February 2013! Un grand merci a Claude et Lucile et a bientot!
I adored this little apartment in place Saint-Sulpice, where I stayed for a week in October. As previous reviews have indicated, the owners are wonderful and so accommodating. Claude graciously provided a tour of the neighborhood and arranged for a shuttle back to the airport at the end of my stay (although I didn't really want to leave!). The apartment is plenty spacious for one or two with a great little kitchenette. The free Wi-Fi was a great benefit as well. The apartment looks out over the rooftops of surrounding buildings and, with windows open, you hear some sounds of the city but not too many! The location couldn't be better. I loved being able to walk to so many places, including to a nearby post office and Monoprix (Claude provides a rolling shopping cart if you want to use it). Metro stops are close and several bus lines stop right in front of the building. I can't wait to get back to Paris and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Claude and Lucile, for a wonderful stay!
We can't say enough about the beautiful apartment located in the St-Germain-de Pres area!! Your hosts Claude and Lucile are wonderful, so kind, friendly, helpful and generous with their time. Whether it be tickets to the Louvre, info on Metro and buses, shuttle to the airport, or providing a wonderful map with all the items needed to make your stay great marked on (ie: where the grocery store is, the post office, the pharmacy, the market and the bakery) nothing is beyond their help. They are terrific!!!
The apartment is wonderfully situated, right in front is the beautiful St. Sulplice Church with its ornate fountain on the square, beside the apartment is a cafe for sipping an expresso or a glass of wine (great for people watching), the bus stop is right in front and the Metro a short walk away and all around are many restaurants to enjoy delicious French cuisine.
The apartment is compact, comfortable and has everything you need to make your stay a very enjoyable one.
Our only problem was we stayed a month and even that wasn't long enough as we so loved our beautiful apartment and our wonderful hosts. We would go back again in a minute and we highly recommend it!!
My fantastic trip to Paris the last 2 weeks would not have been so without Lucile and Claude's studio and their welcome. I walked or took the metro/bus from one end of Paris to the other- the location is the best. I started each day in wonder with the view of St. Sulpice and fountain to send me on my way. The size and ammenities of the studio were perfect for 1 or 2 as a friend also joined me for a few days. A tour of the neighborhood was such a help. I loved the neighborhood markets, stores, and eateries. Thanks so much Lucile and Claude- a true privilege to enjoy your studio and kindness.
Great location, great location, great location. The owner was just great, he went above and beyond to accommodate us, the tour he gave us of the neighborhood was just great. He got us ticket for the museums and shuttle from the airport. We decided to take train to the airport when we left Paris and the information he provided was just great. I can not say enough about how nice he was and how great the location was. I recommend it highly to anyone who plans to stay at this place.
Thanks for a great stay.
If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, you'll find it here. The location was perfect and Claude was generous with his time. He took me on a tour of the neighborhood, made restaurant reservations, shuttle reservations, etc.! Both he and his wife are charming, helpful and always available.
Our 8 night stay in the studio at Saint Sulpice was fabulous! The listing, although accurate, does not do justice to the wonderful owners and studio. My husband and I were in Paris to visit our son, who was studying in Paris. In Claude's delightful and helpful tour of the neighborhood, he frequently oriented us to where we were compared to the studio and also our son's location (which was very nearby). His recommendations for great places to eat and shop were perfect. Claude was also helpful when we had problems with on-line reservations for a visit to the Eiffel Tower. The studio was spotless and had new and efficient appliances. The combined washer/dryer was great and meant we didn't have to pack as many clothes. My son and husband were delighted to be able to choose some DVDs to watch in our studio from Claude's immense collection. You can read some of the earlier reviews to find out about all of the other extra amenities. Claude and Lucille were readily available and extremely helpful.
We can't wait to go back to Paris and stay here again!
My wife and I had the good fortune to spend 3 weeks in this very pleasant, very well laid out studio apartment. The amenities in the apartment are really first-rate with a typical and authentic view of Paris from the window. The apartment is clean and easily maintained. The bed is comfortable. The apartment is quiet and well-insulated with a good heating system. Its location, in the Place-Saint-Sulpice, puts one in a safe, quiet neighborhood well served by taxis and nearby Metro stations, so it's an ideal base of operations for touring or doing business in Paris.
The small kitchen is extremely well-appointed, giving you the option of preparing any meals you wish. A Nespresso coffee machine assures you'll be deliciously well caffeinated at a reasonable cost.
The only problem with the listing description and the photos is that they don't do the place justice, although it might be impossible to really do that. For one thing, the owners just make one feel so welcome, offering very good advice, in English or French, as to local restaurants, markets and transportation.
The building, entirely under the control of the apartment owner, has excellent security. The apartment is sous toit (with a partial slanted ceiling) located on the 5th floor (6th floor American). A solidly built elevator takes you all the way to the 4th floor, so if you're able to handle the well-maintained steps up one floor, you'll be fine.
We recommend this apartment unreservedly.

Nice apartment with a living room, a large bedroom with a double bed, bathroom with toilet . A very well equipped kitchen to prepare good meals. Linens and towels are provided.
The apartment is very bright and in the center of everything.
Metro, tramway and buses are just accross the street.
Direct lines to train station and to the center of Paris (Champs Elysees, Opera, Tour Eiffel....)
All around, there are cafes, small shops, supermarkets, movie theatre, theatres, all kinds of restaurants, bars, banks, post office...
This is the ideal location to start from.
The area has plenty of parks too.
Just in front, there is the Pere Lachaise cemetery, internationally known because this is where Jim Morrisson is buried as well as Edith Piaf and so many more (writers, singers, actors, painters etc). An argument to start your visit here.
For your comfort I speak french, english, vietnamese.
