This fully equipped studio is two blocks away from the very trendy rue de bretagne at the filles du calvaire metro station, line 8. it is located at the second level (third American) of a XIX century elegant building with no elevator and opens …
We are a retired married couple and stayed here for 7 weeks. Just finished reading the other 3 reviews and agree with all that is said. Yes, the washer and dryer work, notwithstanding different from our Canadian w/d's. Totally liveable and quiet. Very bright. Central courtyard pretty. Had no issues at all. Very close to Metro and always felt safe walking around. Lots of places to eat and drink and shop. Love being close to Market on Thursdays and Sundays near Bastille-8 minute walk. Would definitely recommend to family or friends or anyone wanting that "living in Paris" experience. If you are here more than a week, get a weekly Metro pass, the station attendant will help you set it up. Went out last night to "How to become a Parisian in one hour", a one man comedy show. Don't take your kids, but a fun way to get a feel for Parisians. And it is on Metro line 8, our Metro line. We used "City Walks" app and Paris Metro (MX) app to plan every day for walking around.
You won't be disappointed. (We left 3 umbrellas in panel box by front door for next users-yep, rains a lot just as in Vancouver!

This studio is meticulously maintained in terms of cleanliness and functional amenities, which are simple and tasteful. There is a feeling of lightness and space due to the thoughtful design, high ceilings and large windows overlooking the quintessential Parisian courtyard. Olivier was a tentative, dependable host, mindful of the guest experience. The location is a foodie paradise as the neighborhood is buzzing with activity and boasts some of the best neo-bistrots and local wine bars in Paris within a few minutes walk. Overall analysis- a balance of form and function with a good spirit.
I stayed here for a week and was very impressed with the organization of the apartment. It has been designed very thoughtfully so that you get a lot out of the space you have. There are large storage bins under the bed for your suitcases, for example, so you're not crowded out by your bags. One of the walls of the studio is actually a large closet area where you can put your clothes. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, range and washer/dryer. Loved the shower area too -- very pretty!
I spent rather a lot of my time in the apartment during my stay working, and I never felt cramped. There's lots of natural light, and the view gives out onto a pretty courtyard. Also, because of the courtyard and because the studio is located on a smaller street that runs parallel to a larger boulevard, city noise is not an issue at all here.
I took a couple of walking trips to the Marais -- a pleasant walk of about 20 minutes or so. And I loved being right next to a grocer store with extended hours! This was a great place to spend a week in Paris!
I went for about 9 days for tourism and a business conference. This property is a great location and value in a very quiet, typical Parisian space. You couldn't get a hotel room with these features/location for this price. This apartment is located between Place de la Republic (4 blocks) and Place de la Bastille yet not overly touristy. There are lot's of local businesses and activity. The building sits between a school and a great Carrefour supermarket, so there are lots of locals about. You really get to see how local Parisians live. Definitely visit Rue de Bretagne and le Marche des Enfants Rouges less than 2 mins away. The photos are accurate - the property is bright (3 large double windows), airy, quiet and very large by Parisian hotel standards. Brand new well-equiped kitchen and a large very chic bathroom/shower. There is a washing machine but no dryer - however there are laundromats with dryers 2 blocks away. Should have been cleaner - still had a fresh paint smell and quite a bit of dust - but otherwise well maintained. No elevator, but only 2 floors to climb. I would recommend to family and friends.
