We get lose at the arrival day , the owner was patiented to help us get to the apartment , we are very thanks for that . The place is very beautiful and clean , it has every thing we need .We can walk to many attractions , and supermarket is nearly on the street , we love this place very much and plan to come back next summer .
We stayed at this apartment for 12 nights and enjoyed our time immensely. Here are lists of reason what made our stay so enjoyable. It's perfect for first timers and also returning travelers like us. Many historic sites are within walking distance and the location of this apartment makes seeing half (right bank) of Paris seem easy in this vast city.
-Bakeries: our favorite is Regis Colin on Rue Montmarte for best baguette and other pastries
-Restaurants St. George is in the same building as the apartment and Swan is right across and there are many more to choose from
-Marche Franprix, a comprehensive grocery store is on the same block
-Asian grocery store K-mart and many Korean and Japanese restaurants to enjoy hot soup of or rice dishes
-Many small boutiques to shop for clothing, shoes, bags, and local design work like display pillow and tapestry to other home accessories
-Metro stations Sentier and Bourse are each one block away: makes getting around in entire Paris very easy
-Bus line 29 stop is one block away
-Neighborhood is the safest place among places we've stayed in the past
-Tatiana, the owner, went out and bought us extra coffee pods when we arrived which made both me and my husband very happy as we drink espresso every morning
-Apartment was quipped with everything we needed to cook and clean including vacuum cleaner and Nespresso coffee machine
-Comfortable and firm bed
Above list can go on and on but if I may think of any negatives, it'll have to be the sofa. We didn't use it during our stay as it wasn't in its best condition. Instead, we used fold-able dining table and chairs. The apartment could have felt larger to us if we decided to use the sofa but this didn't interfere with our stay.
Most of all, we appreciated Tatiana leaving us alone but promptly answering all our inquiries during our stay. Need a place to stay in Paris? Look no further, this apartment will meet all your expectation with its ideal location and convenience.
I came for buisness and I Spend 5 beautifull days in Paris. The apartment is close to everything! Place des victories, Louvre, Opéra , place Vendome and also very close to the good restaurants and bakery. I’m working in design, and this apartment is a great creation ! For a single or a couple, you have all the confort you need, everything is simply beautifull and lovely. On the first floor, walking on the glass floor is a really special experience ! The bulding and the neighborhood looks also so “ old Paris “ that everyone can imagne. Thanks to the owner, I will certainly return this summer , this time for holidays and certainly a crazy shopping !
This is a gorgeous apartment situated in a perfect location! Agree with everything in the previous review.
I love Paris, but somehow whenever someone asks me about recent trip there I start by talking about this apartment first. It was absolutely PERFECT! I was there with my husband but regardless of who are you going with or the occasion, I am sure you'll absolutely fall in love with this place as much as with the rest of Paris.
Apartment: If someone told me that all that would fit in 25m2 I would not believe them. It's not only that it fits but it looks amazing and seams much bigger. It looks very modern with clean lines but it feels warm unlike most of the hotel rooms. Apartment was super clean and looked brand new. Going back to the apartment was always nice because it's in the nice and quite neighborhood. After spending the whole day in the tourist locations, with noise you cannot escape, you'll appreciate this little gem at the end of a day. The owners thought of everything - from the nice bottle of vine waiting for you to the candles in case you need more romance and great coffee and easy to use coffee maker to start your day. I fell in love with shower. I am not sure what is that called - but you can set it up so that water falls from the ceiling. Towels, hair drier, iron and ironing board, TV set, speakers (even 'upstairs' in the bedroom area), internet, everything you might need in the kitchen (from dishes to fridge and microwave) are in there.
Area: It's few minutes walk to Louvre and Notre-Dame. My husband and I were planning to walk only to Opera so that we can purchase tickets for one of the bus tours, but ended up falling in love with the whole area and continued our walk from Opera and La Fayette shopping center to, Arc De Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and returned along the Seine to see the Obelisk and through Louvre back to the apartment. If you don't like walking as much, there are plenty metro stations and bus stops close to the apartment. You will find some of the best travel guides in the apartment (they even have one from DK publishing that I like the best) and plenty of maps.
Back to the airport: We walked with our suitcases to the metro station in order to take the metro to the Charles de Gaulle airport. It was one line all they way so easy and inexpensive way to get there.
Food: There is grocery store few doors from the apartment building (for anything you might need) as well as plenty of bakeries and restaurants with amazing food.
Would I recommend this to someone: Definitely!!! I hope to go back there - we loved it!!!

Experience the charm, character and life of old Paris in this completely remodeled studio in a historic and beautiful 17 th century building located in the prestigious 2 nd Arrondissement, a “Quartier” rich in history and one of the most vibrant and fashionable neighborhoods in the city.Situated in the historic Montorgueil district, rue Marie Stuart is a small and narrow cobblestone street extending about 50 meters between rue Montorgueil and the arcades of the Passage du Grand Cerf. This entire district is closed to traffic and is full of small shops, cafés, restaurants, bakeries, markets and a steady stream of Parisians. Rue Montorgueil is the last remaining vestige of the great “Halles de Paris” – the central market place that moved out of Paris proper in the late 1960's. In the rue Montorgueil you are embraced by one of the most alive and picturesque streets of Paris. It is called the rue Marché and here you can purchase fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables, fish, and an assortment of meats, cheeses, and bread from small shopkeepers who display their wares openly. Some of the restaurants and stores date back as far as the 17 th century! Enjoy the village feeling and sense of place and history. You will find the bustle and discriminating ambience of Paris until late at night on rue Montorgueil.
But step into the building on the rue Marie Stuart and leave all the hustle and bustle behind. The building has been completely renovated in order to modernize the infrastructure while maintaining its historical integrity. It features a locked grill at street level and a locked entrance door to the stairwell. The studio has a new three point lock. Quiet, secure and convenient, the studio is situated on the first European floor (2 nd US) of this small well kept 17 th century building. Looking onto the small interior courtyard, it is the perfect balance with the lively world of the streets outside and perfect blend of old and new. The apartment was completely renovated in December 2007 and features carefully reexposed beams, a new oak floor, an open designer kitchen, designer bath with large shower and heated towel rack, air-conditioning, a first quality double sized bed and an excellent sofa bed.
We have tried to maintain the feeling of the historical context of the building and the area by revealing and refinishing magnificent 400 year old beams and reinstalling wood floors. But we have consistently sought to modernize the conveniences and furnishings in accordance with our sense of style. All appliances, including refrigerator, combination ceramic stove top, oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, and sink are new as are all furnishings. A built in media center bookshelf houses the flat screen television and entertainment center. Another built in closet provides space for clothing and shoes. We have also added overhead light fixtures in the kitchen and wall lamps in the living and bedroom areas. We have installed a big water heater that provides an ample supply of water for showers or baths!
Rue Marie Stuart is located in the heart of Paris. The Seine, the Louvre, the Opera, Pompidou Center, the Marais district, Sainte Chapelle, and the Latin Quarter are all within easy walking distance. The same is true of the shopping center at Les Halles, Palais Royal, and the Tuilleries Gardens. In the nearby Forum des Halles, you will find a large selection of shops as well as a large swimming pool and a Cineplex, complementing the variety of cafes, restaurants, and shops on rue Montorgueil.
Transportation could not be more convenient from this fantastic location. If you cannot walk where you want to go, there are three metro stations and three rapid transit lines (RER) within a five minute walk of the apartment. The central bus stop at Place Chatelet is also within a few minutes’ walk.
Need more room? The apartment is located in the same building as our apartment ID 29 and next door to apartment ID 79 . This is a perfect combination for two or three families traveling together but yet want separate accommodations. Together, the three properties can accommodate up to 10 persons.
