This place was everything me and my family could hope for and more!
The location is fantastic. It's in the trendy area of the marais, but no so trendy that you don't feel like you don't fit in. It is extremely close to two main metro lines which will take you everywhere you need to go. It is its own cool area which is also the only place where you're going to find things open on a sunday. The apartment is extremely secure. It is VERY close to cool designer shops like Isabel Marant, Maje, Shine, APC, Acne, the list goes on! There is a wealth of options for dining out, from the delicious cheeseburgers and fries at some of the bistros to the french cuisine at some of the finer dining establishments. Oh and don't forget the most heavenly crepes around the corner!
The apartment... one of the most relaxing and calming places I have ever stayed. It was large enough for a family who after travelling for a few weeks together, honestly wanted a little bit of space from one another. This place is HUGE. Terri also has everything catered for her guests. From the tea bags to the washing powder for the washing machine, a collapsable drying rack... honestly, you will feel like you were right at home here! Terri also provides first hand Parisian knowledge on all of the good restaurants to try out, as well as general tourist information for guests (eg. directions to the metro).
All the owners ask is that you water the little plants around the place. We were honestly happy to do it as it makes it feel right at home.
Frankly I don't have anything bad to say about this place and the owners... everything about the stay was perfect :)
I have been coming to paris for many years and I love staying in this part of paris for the food markets, food stores, boutiques in the area and the good feeling of the area - walking distance to metro and easy walk to many sites. But this was the BEST apartment i have stayed in in paris... meticulously designed inside, great lounge room where its just so wonderful to read and relax on a wet day or after a day out, huge windows flood the place with light .. but the kitchen was also wonderful.. bright, architecturally designed ( obviously) and such a pleasure to make food in. It is spacious , homey and a very cool apartment for all ages. we loved loved the apartment and the area... hope that it is available when we return. And did i mention the large wonderful bathroom with huge shower and separate bath?
The only bad thing I could say about this place is that you will not want to leave. But of course this is a very good thing.
I had the good fortune to stay here for over 2 weeks in September with my parents and I loved every minute of it. The apartment itself was glorious - so well decorated and clean. The area was magnificent - the metro was close by so were so many remarkable shops and restaurants. And Terri was a dream to deal with. Always replying promptly and graciously.
My Dad didn't want me to tell anyone about this place so that it wouldn't get too popular and he could have a better chance of staying here on our next visit but that's just bad karma. If you get the chance give it a shot because you will not be sorry.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay or a nicer host! The apartment was beautifully decorated and immaculate, the neighborhood very "French"! We loved taking advantage of the very close shops and cafes and it was so nice to have a "home" to relax in after a busy day of sight seeing. Thank you Terri for your hospitality and all the prompt replies to my emails!
We loved this apartment in the Marais. The location is excellent, close to shops, restaurants, bars, metro stops. And the area has a youthful vitality that makes it fun to experience.
The apartment itself is fantastic.....it couldn't have been better. The decor is lovely and comfortable. It is very well maintained and the owner was very helpful. She left out brochures and books about Paris with info on good restaurants and shopping.
I have already recommended this apartment to friends who may be considering going to Paris for a visit.
We spent 4 nights in this very pleasant appartment in the Marais. Of course the neighbourhood is fantastic with all the beautiful ‘hôtels’and the Place des Vosges etc. Also, there are so many shops just around the corner, both clothes and lovely food. Our son (17) went out in the evening to one of the many cafés just nearby. And his parents did not worry.
The appartment itself was very nice. The owners live there themselves, and that makes the place full of life. Also, we did not have to go out to buy all the necessary tea, coffee, toilet paper, salt. Eveything is there, and more! I was very happy with the hospitability of the owners and Tatiana. They have an easy way of communicating, and I felt treated with much confidence.
Thank you very much. I am looking forward to the next time.

How many time did you read the phrase "your home away from home"? This is a home, actually the one you would dream for your future possible life in Paris. The apartment is beautiful, the wide dining room is inviting you to stay home for dinner with friends, while the neighborhood (it is ideally located in the Marais district, walking distance from the tube station) is calling you with its fine bakeries, restaurants, shops, etc. Interior pictures give a realistic feeling of what you can expect, but are not yet the real thing. We were four young adults and we truly enjoyed it. Thanks to Terri for welcoming us in her house.
Our family of four spent 5 wonderful nights in the apartment. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photographs. It was spotlessly clean, warm and inviting - which made for late starts in the morning as no one really wanted to leave. The apartment had everything we could want -The beds were comfortable, ( in our experience, not the norm in France!) the showers hot and the main bathroom luxurious. The Loft bed and sofabed were perfect for teenage children who have grown too old to share a room! The piano was a bonus and permitted our son to entertain us in the evenings. The apartment is in a great location - in a quiet side street, only a couple of minutes walk to the Metro stop. There are grocery stores and a boulangerie within steps and the children enjoyed going to buy the bread and croissants each morning. The Marche des Enfants Rouge is close by but tucked away so be careful, as you might miss it altogether. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the Pompidou and Picasso Museum ( Note : the museum is closed for refurbishment until Spring 2012) but we also walked quite comfortably to Hotel de Ville, and had planned to walk to the Louvre but of course, we did not get out of the apartment early enough! We were checked in and out by Tatiana, who was very sweet and helpful and we appreciated Terri booking us our taxi on departure and making our reservation at the restaurant for New Years Eve (we can recommend Au Fils des Saison). Terri could not have been more helpful and it is so reassuring when you are booking something online, unseen and from so far away. We have many fond memories of our stay in Le Marais and we hope to stay in this charming, perfectly-appointed apartment once again.

This nicely renovated apartment is a stunning example of Paris chic.....a touch of drama with a black crystal chandelier greets you as walk into the double salon front doors. Rue St. Croix is a darling street with wonderful shops and the best gelato at Amarino, not to be missed; it’s the best way to end an evening stroll home to your apartment. The apartment is safe and secure, with digi-code access and in a safe neighborhood. If you like to shop, discover art, or eat like royalty, you will love the Marais. The apartment is in the middle of many key attractions- The Pompidou Center, Hotel de Ville and Place de Vosges flank the apartment with Notre Dame Cathedral just a 5-minute stroll (we timed ourselves)! There are wonderful galleries, design shops, clothing and restaurants just steps from this apartment, always lively and happening.
The nearest metro stop is just a few minutes away, on line 1 at Hotel de Ville. This is the central line that will take you quickly to most major attractions in Paris. Along the Seine remember to visit the “ bookenists” that open their metal ‘armoires’ to reveal the treasures of old and antique books, magazines, post cards and some odd knick-knacks!
