How would you like to be right in the middle of probably the two best museums in the world? Located on the Left Bank and only a short stroll to the Musee D’Orsay, and a quick cross over the river to access the Grand Musee du Louvre....all within an easy stroll for you each day!This is a very handsome apartment with quality furniture which we are sure you will find most comfortable. It is of generous size at 36 m 2 (@390 ft 2 ) and comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults. A new double size bed (Apr 2012) is in the bedroom, which is quite comfy! The living area also has a very comfortable queen size pullout sleeper with a thick mattress.
As all Parisian spaces are rather small the property owner has used a great idea to make the place feel larger and more suitable to daytime and nighttime accommodations. Instead of a normal size door, there is a large sliding partition that separates the bedroom and living room. It allows privacy and separation, just like a door, but opens to a much wider open space during the daytime. This sliding separation is made of solid metal, plus it also has a heavy curtain which pulls over it for decoration.
Both the bedroom and living rooms have windows facing out to a courtyard with lots of open blue sky view and lots of ‘greenery’ as well. The apartment is located off the street, in a building separated from the street by a small green courtyard and another building.
The kitchen is completely separate and has most everything you will need including a 4 burner stovetop, an oven plus a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, plus lots of cutlery, plates, and cups for up to 4 people. The kitchen has a window and is quite comfortable to cook in or just reheat those great prepared meals you can purchase nearby. There is a nice round wooden table and chairs, very “bistro style” just by the window where 4 people can sit to dine. Of course, if you prefer to dine out, there are many cafes and wonderful restaurants to choose from in your immediate area. Maybe the most famous are the Café Flore and Café Deux Magots, plus the Brasserie Lipp restaurants nearby. When visiting the Louvre don’t forget to go to the large multi-ethnic food court they have there as well!
The bathroom has a large bathtub, great for soaking those tired feet after hitting the Paris pavements all day! Plus there is a shower attached to the wall above the tub. It even has a washer/dryer combo unit you can use if you have been long travelling or will be staying more than a couple of days here.
This apartment is located on the 4 th European floor (5 th US) and is serviced by an elevator that stops on the ‘half-floors’, so you get out on the 5 th and walk down about 8 steps. Likewise when going out, you walk down a half floor to the 3 rd floor to catch the lift - no need to ever walk UP the stairs!
