Thank you so much for sharing your lake house with us.....it truly is breath taking! It was even more beautiful than the photos! We are from Illinois,we came through the Adirondack Mountians and are on our way to Maine, but I think we are spoiled NOTHING could be as wonderful as this! We spent some time in Kilkare Stake park, went downtown enjoyed Twiggs restaurant enjoyed Hudaks farm market, everybody was so kind including your son,he was here when we arrived.....a very nice, helpful(he gave me some short cuts into town!) young man!! It was nice to know that he lived close if we needed anything. Again, thank you so much,we would love to come back again!!
This lake house was perfect for our needs. My husband & I stayed here with our dog this past week. The view of St Albans bay and Lake Champlain is amazing - it is panoramic and viewed through the wall of windows and deck doors facing the west. The natural lighting that beams into the house is warming and energizing. The sound of the lake is soothing 24/7. It lulls you to sleep at night and puts you right to sleep for an afternoon nap. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck and eating our dinners watching the sunsets. We also ate our breakfasts al fresco out on the deck taking in the scenery watching the birds, early morning boaters and kayakers. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable and the living room is relaxing. Our dog was also comfortable - we brought his bed and he just laid in his bed relaxed or he hung out with us out on the deck. There is also a pool table & games on the bottom floor. Would make a great family vacation spot. There is plenty to do in the area. We went over to Kilkare State Park (10 minute drive from the house) & took the ferry over to Burton Island. We took a hike around the island. You can also go swimming at either park and rent canoes or kayaks. I am a jogger and was able to jog over to the town park and jog around the park. There are also plenty of country roads to jog down with beautiful scenery. The town of St. Albans is quaint - lots of downtown shops, a Saturday Farmers Market on the town square, good coffee, and a movie theater for those rainy days. We bought some local produce just north of downtown at Hudak farm. Also be sure to get your cremee from Hoss's Dogg House (but be careful when you order - the junior cone is what you might normally consider a medium!). We also drove 30 minutes into Burlington (we walked around one day and on another rented bikes and rode along the bike path along the waterfront), 1 hour to the Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, and went out one night to Montreal (about an hour and 15 minutes). Overall this place is a good value. It's got plenty of space, good location, amazing view, quaint town, and modern amenities in a well maintained house.

Perfect Family Getaway on Beautiful Lake Champlain
The best that Lake Champlain has to offer! With the lakeside entrance of the Pines cottage just a few feet from the waters of Lake Champlain, this exit from the cottage transports you to some of the best fishing, swimming, and boating on the lake, and our sunsets are to die for!

The "Pines" cottage is one of eight cottages located on a quiet, private dead end road. No through traffic and very little traffic to the last 3 cottages on our access road make the Pines an ideal location for children and pets.

The cottage has approximately 1100 square feet of living space and features two bedrooms with double beds, an enclosed lakeside porch, an enclosed back porch, and a large combination kitchen, dining, and living area. "The Pines" has a 3/4 bath and sleeps a maximum of 8.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen including all common small appliances and includes a microwave oven, dishwasher, gas grill, color TV, satellite, VCR/DVD, washing machine, and dryer.

The cottage has 60 feet of private lake frontage. The depth of the lot is about 200 feet. The cottage rental includes access to a 14 foot aluminum rowboat and peddle boat. The row boat is registered for use with your motor (motor can be rented nearby). There are 2 boat hoists available, with the larger hoist having a capacity of 3600 lbs. A public boat access to the lake is located about 1 mile away.

A 56 ft. common dock is located between and shared by the Pines and the Maples cottages. The beach is a mixture of sand and shale. The water depth increases slowly (about a 1 ft. increase in depth for every 10 feet from shore) making it ideal for children.

Attention fishermen! The Missisquoi Bay features some of the best bass fishing in Lake Champlain and northern pike in excess of 10 lbs have been caught here.

The cottage is located in the southern portion of the Missisquoi bay. Montreal can be reached in about an hour. Golfing is available in Alburg (less than 10 minutes away) and St. Albans (about 20 minutes). Supplies and dining are available in the towns of Swanton (10 minutes), Alburg (10 minutes), St. Albans (20 minutes), and Rouses Point, NY (15 minutes). Burlington, Vermont is to the south about 45 minutes.

If you have a party larger than 8 people, ask about the other cottages we have for rent in the immediate area!
