Beautiful Home Near Boston College, Boston University & Fenway Park
Beautifully renovated condominium unit in a two family house on a quiet residential street in Newton, just minutes away from Logan Airport & Downtown Boston. Perfect for families visiting area colleges, the house is within 10 miles radius of Harv …
The apartment was better than I could have imagined, there was plenty of room for my 2 collage aged sons, my husband and I. WE even were able to entertain a few overnight guests. The kitchen has most everything you will need or want and the dining room is perfect for large groups or to set up your laptop and use as a desk. We stayed the entire month of May, and upon arrival the property was clean and very welcoming. Rosanna was always just a phone call away and if something was not working right ( in our case the microwave ) she had somebody come over the next day to repair it. I would recommend this apartment to anybody wanting to stay near but not in Boston. Newton has many restaurants, bars and stores to visit so it was perfect for us. We can't wait to stay again Rosanna !!!
Our stay was great in Boston thanks to Rosanna, this house and the great public transportation Boston has. We stayed for a week, and was very comfortable here. the house was clean and comfortable. The only time we drove was to purchase groceries. We caught bus 57 less then a block away and took the green line into Boston it was perfect. The only draw back was we where on the bottom floor and if you like to sleep late or do not want to hear children running then rent the upstairs , cause you will hear little feet running around.
The neighborhood is great and safe, we took advantage of the quite streets and went running every morning. There are some great parks and friendly people around to talk to.
While in Boston we watched the fireworks on the Charles River, went whale watching though the Aquarium, Freedom Trail, ate at a wonderful restaurant in Little Italy, JFK Library and Museum (highly recommend it) Children's Museum (great place for the little ones and parents too)
We were thrilled to stay for a week in April at Mocina. My wife, 3 kids and parents all loved the home, the furnishings and the location. This home is so spacious with quality beds, tables and chairs. We also were happy to be able to use the computer with Internet, Cable TV and great games and books for the kids. I can't believe what a great value this is. The location was also great for us with multiple parks within walking distance, easy access to the Pike, grocery stores close by (Whole Foods & Star) and restaurants (Bertucci's, Uno's and numerous independents). We will definitely be back every time we return to the Boston area. Thanks, Rosana!
The Mocina House was just perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 teen. We were in Boston for the Boston International Ballet Competition and the quick 10 minute ride into Boston made our busy days really stress-free. The house was just lovely, with a king bed upstairs, two twins and a queen in the downstair bedrooms. The two full baths were spotless and the kitchen was just what we needed for our group. The laundry facility in the basement really saved the day. The only thing we could have asked for was better weather. We'll definitely be booking this house again next year. Rosana was the perfect landlady, answering questions promptly and in a friendly way. The Mocina House is a great base from which to explore Boston and all the area has to offer.
Clean house, well maintained with excellent customer service by the owner. Would surely recommend it to families with kids (great playgrounds in walking distance). Although a car would be convenient to visit certain tourist attractions, shopping malls and/or supermarkets, it isn't an absolute necessity because of good public transportation connections from the house to downtown Boston, Cambridge and elsewhere in the city or greater Boston area - everything within a 1/2-1 hour (we stayed a month with two kids of 2 and 4 years old and decided to bring back the rental car after a week). The bus-stop is only a 2 minutes walk away and the bus runs frequently. We thought it was kind of best of both worlds: very kid-friendly neighborhood with the vibrant city of Boston (and its cultural treasures) only a bus/metro trip away.
We stayed at Mocina Home from July 4th to July 10th 2010 in the upstairs apt. We were so impressed with the quality of the home and the furniture was in such great shape. It really is more luxurious than any 5 star hotel. The pictures don't do it justice. The area is so quiet and peaceful yet so central - we were 10 min from Harvard where my son was attending a summer camp.
To add Rosana is so helpful and is so professional - she makes your stay - very easy and pleasant.
We will definitely rent the house again if we are ever in Boston.
Ideal for a family stay in Boston. Nice, safe area with good park nearby for kids. easy access to bus into town but 2 miles to the T.
Accomodation good and comfortable. Only downside for downstairs apt is noise from upstairs footsteps.
Owner very helpful.
Lovely well-furbished house in pleasant location. Very comfy to live in and equipped with everything we needed, also clean, well-maintained and plenty of room. Would recommend to others. Friendly owner very helpful with email and postal contact - answered all queries very promtply.
For a Boston holiday a car is needed, including for local shops.
We had a very comfotable stay in the lower level of the home - beautiful kichen!
It was def in the outskirts of downtown so allow for travel time when using pucblic transportation ( the T )
We did hear kids running around up top a lot so if that is a concern for you be sure to rent the upper floor!
Allover, our host was thoughtful and organized and the home was beautiful and clean!
