Sky City at The Pier 2-bedroom

    New York City

    Description

With stunning views of the New York City skyline and convenient access to central Manhattan, this building rests in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood directly across the water from the World Trade Center memorial site.

Between 24-hour PATH train service and local NJ transit options, the beautiful waterfront residence offers convenient and quick transportation to anywhere in Manhattan and beyond. Spacious, breezy apartments that feature large windows with incredible river views, luxurious building amenities and only a short commute to all that New York has to offer (including close-by Wall Street, Trinity Church, Battery Park with ferry access to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the South Street Seaport, Chinatown, Soho, restaurants and endless shopping), makes the location a perfect home away from home.
A lovely rooftop recreation deck, which offers picturesque views of the sun setting over Manhattan, and a glass-enclosed fitness center with an adjacent guest lounge and clubroom, are only part of what makes this building a great choice for those seeking a truly relaxing vacation.

The neighborhood is heavily populated by Manhattan businesspeople and their families, so 24-hour concierge and security services, a nicely equipped children's playroom, theater room and courtyard with outdoor seating makes the complex a wonderful option for families with younger children as well.

This app. had a perfect location. Close to the PATH system, and also a quiet area, we enjoyed a lot. At least the view over Hudson River was amazing. We loved the place and will return for next visit in NYC. Charlotte Truelsen Sweden
Apartamento bien equipado, con excelentes vistas y bien comunicado con NYC. Tan sólo indicar que en Roomorama se indica que dispone de piscina y no es así. Estupendo el trato recibido por el personal de SkyApartments. Muy recomendable.

Want to fit it all in to that fast New York minute, charge your batteries on the east side of the River in the little village of Dutch Kills in a very comfortable home with everything you can need. This Apartment is on the 2nd (top) floor of 2 story house were Im in the process of renovating an old historic pub into a Bed-N-Breakfast. The flat features 3 over-sized bed-rooms. Two of them both have full size beds. The 3rd family friendly bedroom has a full size loft bed and another full size underneath as well as a bed-sofa in the room, which makes it perfect for the kids or the singles in your group. Cots and a baby crib is available and linens and towels are provided, family size refrigerator, dishwasher, kitchenware, PC, WiFi, cable, flat screen TV.

F.A.Q:
Is the area safe?- The neighborhood Dutch Kills is very safe, only 2 blocks from the N and Q subway station 2 stops from Lexington Ave in midtown Manhattan.

Is there any Parking?- There is plenty of street overnight parking, you can choose a meter right in front of the apartment where you pay $.25 per 15 min between Mon-Sat 9am-7pm or half a block away you can find free 24/7 parking with street cleaning rules on thursday and friday between 8.30-10am. I will add that it is quite hard to find any parking during a weekday business hours due to the fact that many commuters park in the area since its so close to Manhattan. There is also a parking garage right across the street where you can park for $10 per day.

Are you running any special rates?- The rental rate is actually way below the normal rates for a 1250sqft 3 bedroom apartment due to the fact that we are doing renovations below on the 1st floor converting it into a cafe. We are hoping to open the cafe in late October 2012.

Do you accept credit cards?- Roomorama takes care of the whole reservation process and they accept all mayor credit cards.

How do we get there from JFK Airport?- Its very easy to get here from JFK, just take the airtrain to the Jamaica station Switch to the E train and take that to Queens plaza stop and walk 3 blocks north following 29th Street to the corner of 39th ave where the apartment is.

Is there an elevator in the building? Im so sorry there is no elevator. The apartment is on the second floor one flight up.

How many bedrooms is there in the apartment? There are 3 large bedrooms. There are a total of 4 double beds, 1 bed-sofa and then a regular sofa in the living-room. There should be plenty of space for your whole group/family.

How is the area around the apartment? This area is called Dutch Kills and its a a small neighborhood right in between Astoria and Long Island City to very popular destinations for cafe's and restaurants. We have 3 very famous galleries with in a walking distance. Fisher Landau Center for Art, Flux Factory and PS1 which is part of the Modern Museum of Art (MoMa) Since this area is so close to Queensboro Bridge the main transportation hubb of Queens this has traditionally been a place for back businesses supplying Manhattan with bread, truffles, silk, etc but over the last 10 years artists have taken over these warehouse spaces and made them into work/live loft studios. Its a very interesting area and I think you will be very pleased. Best wishes, Steffan Olausson Partridge
