Despite the largest recession to hit the United States in the last 70 years, gentrification continues steadily throughout the neighborhood, if not accelerated by the affordable prices of living in Bedford Stuyvesant. The strong community and abundant brownstone townhouses in the neighborhood contribute to its growth and charm. Since 2008 a score of new cafes, restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, galleries and wine bars have sprung up in the areas with a concentrated growth found along the western and southern parts of the neighborhood. These areas include blocks north of the Nostrand Avenue and Fulton Street intersection and West of Fulton Street and Stuyvesant Avenues. These areas are serviced well by the express A train subway stops at Nostrand Avenue and Utica Avenue, with commute times 15 minutes to Lower Manhattan and 30 minutes to Midtown Manhattan. In 2011, Bedford Stuyvesant listed three Zagat rated restaurants for the first time, today there are over ten Zagat rated establishments

Bedroom 2: Great room in back of house with one 6' window overlooking green space. Sunny and airy with closet space and desk.
Newly renovated solar powered apartment. Highly desirable for cooking hobbyists
as the kitchen seems to be the favorite feature of most guests.
Each guest is free to use the kitchen and dining room space, the shared bathroom, and the outdoor stoop where we socialize. Guests may only enter their assigned private bedroom and may not enter any other bedroom or private space.
Like you, we're aspiring world travelers and have lived on 4 different continents - so we look forward to getting to know you, and want to make your experience in NYC ideal. We live in the house, and can help you out in English, Spanish, French.
Great diverse Brooklyn neighborhood. Central location so easy access to all. Highly recommend biking for neighborhood travel. Walk to Bed Stuy restaurant row, head north to Bushwick art galleries and warehouse parties, west to Franklin Ave and Prospect Park, and Northwest to Williamsburg bars. Ten minutes on train to Barclay center, BAM, Atlantic Ave terminal shops & restaurants. Precinct and Laundry mat on next block.
Easy street parking plus close to three express trains. We are off the A, C train and the B46 bus to Williamsburg stops right outside our house. Or take the B15 around the corner to Park Slope or the 3, 4 train is an extra five minute walk south of us.
We have two yorkie pups that we spoil like children. They are in and around the house (but not in your bedroom, unless you guys plan a sleepover - which has happened in the past :). They are hypoallergenic.
