Mitten in Manhattans East Village
My apartment is on the 3rd Floor of a four-story private townhouse, built in 1901 as a typical "BROWNSTONE" townhouse, with typical fire escape and wonderfully bright and sunny - a perfect room with a view ... in the heart of Manhattan's East Village - there's hardly a better neighborhood in New York for shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs - anywhere , around the clock, 24/7! And still SUPER QUIET, a true bedroom not to say rescue place for sensitive European ears :-) --- The apt comes with fully equipped kitchen (with washer / dryer, dishwasher, stove / microwave, etc.); large modern bathroom with bathtube and shower; living room with dining section (seating for up to 8 persons for dining / you might also use this table as a large desk/work place; and a big couch and bar is waiting for tired New York visitors to have a break :-) --- There is high speed internet all over the apt. + a wireless WiFi network laser printer/copier/scanner. And we all love our cleaning lady! --- Overall, we have max. 4 people in our 3-bedroom/100 square meter apt - if you move in as a couple whilst the other two bedrooms are for me as the owner of the apartment and for a young woman (she's a business consultant, single living like me and super nice and travels a lot all over the world as I do as a TV reporter "on and off NYC"). --- ASTOR PLACE SUBWAY is just 3 minutes walking distance with TRAINS RUNNING EAST UP + DOWN AND CROSS TOWN to the WEST! - Quick and easy: 30 min to NYC's JFK or La Guardia airport by cab! - And NYU university is in the NEIGHBORHOOD.

2 Private Rooms - Roof, Pool, Sauna
Located in a neighborhood of Brooklyn artists, our building is 15 minutes away from Manhattan. We are a two block walk from the L train.

The building is the only one of its kind in Brooklyn. The 24-hour roof deck is equipped with lounge chairs and a hot tub. We have a grill you can bring up if you'd like to cook dinner and look at the Manhattan skyline. There is a heated indoor pool. There is also a gym with weights, cardio machines and a punching bag, laundry in the building, a 24-hour dry sauna and a game room with foosball, a pool table and a TV.

The apartment itself is a three bedroom, hardwood floor loft. We sleep in the loft upstairs, so you have the run of the living room kitchen and downstairs bedrooms. The kitchen is completely stocked as far as cooking goes and available to you. There is wireless internet. The bathroom has a shower and whirlpool tub. For the rooms you are renting, one is a true bedroom with lots of light, a closet and a queen bed with down blankets. The second is also a private room with lots of light. The beds in there are two high end fold out beds, one single and one double, also with down blankets. It would work for a second couple, two singles who don't mind sharing a room, or children. We provide coffee and a continental breakfast every morning. Speak to us further about full breakfasts or meals on the roof.

We are both New Yorkers. We know the city inside and out. We can recommend restaurants and shows and help with transit. There is a resident cat. He is very friendly, but if you have a cat allergy, this is not the place for you.

The neighborhood is a safe, residential Brooklyn neighborhood with lots of kids. Block parties and open fire hydrants are common in the summer. There are a few restaurants nearby, but the real draw is that for a fraction of what you'd pay in a hotel, you can have a coffee while seeing the sun come up over the skyline, go for a swim, go to the sauna and be in Manhattan all before 10AM.
