Our 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment is on the 3rd floor of a brownstone on a tree-lined street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The space is perfect for two, but can sleep 4 at the max. Minimum stay: 5 nights. <br><br>The apartment (approx 60 sq meters) includes a full kitchen w/microwave and stove-top/oven, full bathroom w/shower and bath, full-size bed (w/duvet + pillows) and two large west-facing windows in the bedroom, and a living room which includes a sofa w/a pull-out bed, a loveseat, and two large east-facing windows. Towels and linens provided. 40" flatscreen tv, and WiFi internet also included. A great breeze flows through the apartment, and there is AC in the bedroom and living room. <br><br>The apartment is 4 blocks (5 mins walking) from the beautiful and historic Fort Greene Park. The lovely Fort Greene Farmers Market is available every Saturday from 8am-5pm at the Fort Greene Park. Don't forget to stop by and check out tons of local designers, artisans, and food vendors at the Brooklyn Flea Market (NYC's largest flea), right around the corner.<br><br>The charming neighborhood offers a variety of well-reviewed restaurants as well as several cafes, bars, and boutiques. The Greene Grape Provisions is just 5 minutes away on Fulton St and offers a great selection for self-catering. Laundromat and dry cleaning are both across the street from Greene Grape, as well.<br><br>Public Transport:<br><br>The apartment is minutes away from almost every subway line in NYC, as well as the Long Island Railroad. Enjoy the peace and quiet of Brooklyn, but easily escape to Manhattan for sightseeing. A taxi back from downtown Manhattan is only $12, just over the Manhattan bridge.<br><br>Subway:<br><br>The Lafayette stop on the C subway line is literally around the corner, 2 mins walking. From the C train you can get to:<br><br>-Soho/Little Italy/Chinatown/Wall Street: 10 minutes<br><br>-West Village: 15 minutes<br><br>-34th Street: 20 minutes<br><br>-Times Square/Theater District: 23 minutes<br><br>-Rockaway Beach - 45 minutes<br><br>The Atlantic/Pacific terminal provides the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N , Q, and R subways lines as well as the Long Island Rail Road. This terminal is 8 minutes walking from the apartment. The Q is just 3 stops, 12 minutes to Union Square in Manhattan. You can also get to Coney Island via the Q train in about 30 minutes.<br><br>The Fulton stop on the G subway line is five minutes walking. This train will take you to Williamsburg, full of funky bars, restaurants and boutiques, in about 10 minutes.<br><br>Take a break from the tourists in Manhattan. Enjoy NYC like a local:<br><br>A 10 minute walk will bring you to movies and performances at the legendary Brooklyn Academy of Music, America's oldest continuously operating performing arts center, founded in 1861. <br><br>Pratt Institute, Prospect Park, DUMBO are all within walking distance.<br><br>Spend an afternoon perusing the various restaurants and shops along 5th Avenue in Park Slope.
