The common room features an open layout with a high quality, leather sofa and complementing wood coffee table. In the common area there is a Queen sized Murphy Bed that easily pulls down into a Queen sized bed from the piece of furniture on the wall. The sofa easily converts into a Queen sized sofa to provide and extra sleeping accommodation. Enjoy meals within the comfort of your rental with the marble-top, space friendly breakfast table with seating for 4. Fully equipped with stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher), cookware and dishware the kitchen will have you feeling at home. Full bathroom features shower, marble tub, and Hollywood lighting above the mirror. In the spacious bedroom there is a King sized bed with matching nightstand, dresser and mirror. It is located in an elevator and doorman building of the Upper West Side. There is also a Laundromat on the premise for your convenience. Primarily a residential neighborhood it makes a great choice for your trip since you’ll be away from the chaos and congestion of other heavily touristic areas. The area is rich in history and an architectural enchantment with many building dating back to World War II (and some even as far back as WWI). This particular building is wonderfully close to the beauty and enamor of Central Park. The area has access to fine dining, local bars, and some of the best gourmet stores. Enjoy a tour of the acclaimed American Museum of Natural History that encompasses history from the time of the Dinosaurs to the 21st Century. Also in the area are the New York Historical Society and Nicholas Roerich Museum. With public transportation in the area, you’ll be able to travel throughout the city and make the most of your trip!<br /><br />USA Stay residences are not hotels.       Apartment itself and the building are very nice. The apartment is very large for NYC and it is very nicely decorated. The furniture was comfortable; however, we did not use the murphy bed or pull out couch so I can't comment on them. There are TONS of dining options, grocery stores, coffee shops, drug stores in walking distance. The bus stops right in front of the building and there are 2 train stops within a block. And of course, Central park is 1/2 block away. 86th street is a major artery for the UWS and so there was TONS of traffic at all times of the day/night and the street noise into the apartment was quite disruptive. There is a hospital kiddie corner from the apt so lots of sirens as well. Luckily, I never travel without my trusty earplugs. The apartment had only 1 roll of toilet paper upon check in which was half gone. No extra garbage bags or paper towels. To me, these things are necessary staples in a vacation rental. There was not a frying pan, but 3 stock pots??! I discovered you can make a grilled cheese sandwich and scrambled eggs in one if you have no other options. The apartment does not have cable television but it hooked up to satellite so local channels SHOULD come in, but they only came in on the bedroom tv. But with the street noise, you could only hear it if you blasted it. The bedroom has blinds in the windows, but there was still a lot of light coming in so we hung a blanket over the window which helped dramatically. Check in in Midtown went smoothly, but it was out of the way for us. Again,the location was very convenient and the apartment itself is very nice, but the lack of staples (paper products), the noise level and lack of cable tv, the place seemed over priced to us and we probably would not stay there again.
