Wonderful location - walking distance to great restaurants on Freret street and close to streetcar and bus stops to get to the French Quarter. Ample space for our family of 6. Would highly recommend this accommodation!
Eight members of our family stayed in this classic New Orleans shotgun duplex, and we could not have been more pleased! The place was extremely CLEAN, and our large crew had plenty of room (and plenty of hot water for showers). The Uptown area is very cool, and getting to the French Quarter was easy. The owners are wonderful people, and staying here rather than at a hotel really did make us feel like locals. We'll definitely return the next time we're in NOLA. Who Dat!!!
This was a great vacation home. Margaret was incredibly accommodating. We really like the location and it was the perfect size for your group of 7. We loved the restaurant and entertainment recommendations. Our first family trip to New Orleans was awesome thanks to this beautiful rental and Margaret generous hospitality.
We had a great time staying at this great house in Uptown. Everything about the house was perfect, and we had a good time exploring parts of Uptown that we had not visited in quite some time. Highly recommend!
My family, friends, and our kids wanted to explore New Orleans and needed a place to stay. A hotel seemed overpriced for the amount of space we needed for 3 adults and 3 children. This beautiful house with a New Orleans flair was perfect. The kitchen is quite amazing. It is a chef's dream. It was enjoyable to create a meal together in this warm and inviting room. We were also happy with all the resources provided to us about what to do in the city during our stay. Everything in the house was clean, well maintained, and in working condition, although I might suggest that they add a baking pan (we wanted to bake homemade brownies!) to their abundance of kitchenware. We made wonderful memories here and would love to come back again.
My family (wife and 3 kids) and I had a wonderful time and the accommodations were exceptional and made us feel at home. The overall experience beats a hotel room anytime! We will definitely be re-renting this house for future return trips.
If you want to stay like the locals, this is the place to stay. We loved the whole experience of having three bedrooms and three baths at our disposal. The entire house was very well furnished and we were pleasantly surprised to see the complimentary wine bottle, full kitchen and washer/dryer with detergent provided. Margaret was very helpful and we did not have any issues in terms of payment and were surprised to see the deposit back so quick. The house is literally less than 5 miles from the French Quarter, Riverwalk and all major attractions. Major restaurants are just a street away from the house and we enjoyed walking nightly to have a good time and also shop essentials like milk or eggs on the way back. We strongly recommend staying at this house if you plan on visiting New Orleans. It has everything you would ever need at a reasonable cost and is also very clean. The off street parking is always available and we enjoyed being so close to everything, yet not being dragged in the hustle bustle of a busy area. We hope to return soon!!
Not only the house is beautiful, with all the New Orleans's style, also Margaret prepare the house as she was hosting dear friends!.
We have a great time and we feel that they did everything to make us feel confortable and "at home".
We were there six days and everything was perfect!
Thank you, thank you for all you do for us! You made our family vacation really enjoylable!
It is a great location. You feel like you are a local. It is a mile down Pershing to Magazine St. One block from Feret which is loaded with interesting places. Very nice big well furnished kitchen. I highly recommend it.
