I came here with 4 friends over Memorial Day weekend in 2012, and our stay was perfect. The owner was incredibly accommodating, and the property is absolutely gorgeous - very clean, comfortable, and well kept. The location is ideal - it is an easy walk to the French Quarter and all of the main attractions New Orleans has to offer. I will be staying at one of his properties again in the future and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the heart of New Orleans.
What an awesome property! Very well stocked and very well situated! Beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable. Will definitely stay here again...thanks, Steve!!!!!!!
Previous reviews have said it all. Just read them and you will have all of the information you need to choose this property... What can I add? We spent a great week. We would most definitely recommend staying here. Kudos to Steve, the owner, for offering this excellent property!
Steve is a most amazing host; he has set up and furnished his place with maximum comfort and with all of the conveniences of home for his guests. We spent the Christmas Holiday with Family in New Orleans, and this Condo and its location was superb.
If we're ever back in the Crescent City, this will, again, be our first choice for our accomodations. Thank you.
Great stay. Beautiful property, very well maintained and up kept. Owner is very accommodating.
I will never stay in a hotel in New Orleans again! The apartment could not have been more perfect for our stay. When you enter the building, you feel like a local. Very quiet building since there are only a handful of apartments. The apartment is centrally located to many tourist attractions, shopping, and eating. We were able to walk to Frenchman Street and the WWII Museum. Maybe a mile away, but a pleasant walk. The furnishings were top notch. The kitchen is well-stocked if you are up for cooking. The owner has cold drinks in the fridge and snacks on the kitchen counter when you arrive. I love that guests "contributed" to the kitchen/pantry. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of high quality towels. Electronics up-to-date; even a charger for the iphone 5. You are across the street from the House of Blues, but noise was never an issue. There is no street parking. There is public parking about a block away. It was not a problem when we needed the car. We could not have stayed in 2 hotel rooms as nice or as spacious as this apartment for the price. Perfect for 2 couples. Highly recommend!
This was our first experience with HomeAway. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations, the location, and the friendliness of Juliet, who was there to greet us. The apartment was clean and modern and comfortable. The location could not have been better. We were within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
The apartment is conveniently located in the heart of the French quarter, a short walking distance from many attractions so it allows one to forego renting a car. The place was clean and welcoming, and we particularly appreciated the little “extras” such as a high speed wireless connection, a laptop and a fridge stocked with drinks.
The design of the apartment is ideal, with a large open living room, dining room and kitchen overlooking the street and two spacious bedrooms further back and away from the noise.
The set up makes for a perfect location for a family with little kids. We were able to walk to the aquarium, insectarium, riverwalk etc and the kids enjoyed it.
And the landlord is responsive and pleasant to deal with.
We are frequent visitors to New Orleans. I've already reviewed my favorite place to stay in the Marigny. Now I've found my go to French Quarter rental. This place is fantastic. You would be hard pressed to find another rental this nice in all of New Orleans. Great layout for 2 couples with an incredibly nice and well-stocked kitchen, big bathrooms, one in each of the 2 spacious bedrooms which both have oodles of closet space. The view down on Decatur St. from the 3 large windows will keep you entertained as you enjoy on one of the complimentary beverages of both the kid-friendly and adult variety. Unbeatable location if you want to explore the French Quarter, the Warehouse District, downtown, or the Central Business District. Trust me, the walk to Cochon Butcher at 930 Tchoupitoulas St. is easy, safe, and well worth it. The walk to anything and everything in the Quarter is easy as well, and for those of us who don't mind walking, even Frenchman St. and the Marigny is relatively easy hike.
Upon our arrival there were just a couple of minor issues, and I do mean minor. I called to inform the owner, Steve, who happened to be in Thailand. Within an hour he had someone there to make things right. A+ for guest service and pride of ownership. Just a great rental experience all around. Give this place a try.
This property has been outfitted in the a luxurious manner and the host makes one feel very welcome. The location is in the French Quarter and close to all the action. This is a property and vacation destination that I would not hesitate to recommend to all.
You will not regret staying here - we'll definitely be back the next time we visit. The condo is very well maintained and well stocked. It has two large bedrooms, each with a large bathroom. The main living area has a living room with pull out sofa couch, small dining area, and a full kitchen with kitchen counter stools.
The condo owner is very helpful in accommodating all requests. Also stocks a nice supply of adult beverages and snacks.
The location is great, being a few blocks off of bourbon, but within walking distance of all the fun.
This is the most gorgeous place that I have ever stayed in while on vacation. The amenities provided, location, along with the space and cleanliness makes this condo well worth the money. The owner also had snacks and plenty of beverages for myself and my guest. I would definitely stay here again.
This place provided us the perfect spot for all of our NOLA activities. Although there is no on site parking, there is a public lot on the backside of the block from the condo and we were able to unload/load things from our car streetside so we avoided having to lug things around very far. Security is very good with controlled entry points at the street entrance and of course, at the condo door. Since keypads are used, you don't have to worry about carrying and potentially losing a key. The entire building was recently redone and everything is clean, fresh and modern. The condo itself is well appointed with flat screen televisions, Ipod radio/alarms in the bedrooms and a counter top stereo in the living area. Be sure to bring an AUX jack if you have an Iphone as the counter top stereo does not have an Ipod/Iphone dock. We were thankful that the kitchen was stocked with beer, chips, soda and gatorade. There was also some liquor provided but since we brought our own, we did not use any that the owner provided. All of the appliances and furnishings were new and well cared for. The beds were comfortable with clean, crisp linens. The first bedroom is a queen with the second bedroom being a king bed. Both bedrooms have separate bathrooms, which is beneficial when traveling with another couple as we were. The owner provided good towels as well as toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, etc) in case you forgot anything at home. Soap and shampoo is provided. There is also a hairdryer in each bathroom so ladies can leave their dryers at home.
Being across from the House of Blues provides a perfect location. There are numerous restaurants within a 1 minute walk. Walgreens is only 2 blocks away. Harrah's, Jackson Square and Bourbon street are all 5 minutes or less. Although the HOB and other small pubs can be noisy, once you are inside, the noise is barely audible. Our "home" is in the country and we had no trouble sleeping here. In fact, we felt that if we had a condo in NOLA, this would be it.
Overall, we were really impressed with the property and the service provided by the owner. There is a property manager, who is nearby, that can deal with any issues although we had none. We received our access codes and information for the property the day before our arrival. However, if you need directions to this location, just use the HOB as a reference point and you'll be spot on.
We will definitely use this location again!!!
We all had an amazing time in New Orleans and a BIG part of that was where we stayed. We could not believe how nice this place was! The condo was like brand new, the furniture all incredibly nice, and the beds VERY comfortable. Steve ("Doc") provided us with more than enough drinks and snacks (all complimentary on arrival) and honestly whenever anyone needed anything, we found it right there in the condo without having to go get it (ie extra towels, shaving cream, plastic caps..really anything!). And the location honestly cannot be beat!! It's literally across the street from House of Blues and right next to Bourbon and Canal and all the attractions you could ask for..
My friends and I hope to return yearly, and we already agreed that we would not want to stay anywhere else. This place is a gem. Thank you Steve and John for helping make this trip such a great one! I hope we can do this again next year!
This place was amazing. We could not have been happier. You walk through one secure door up to your secure condo, so totally safe. You are in a prime location in the French Quarter, close enough to ALL the action but just far enough away to get a great nights sleep. The place was immaculate, we swear we were the first to stay in it, the refinished hardwood floors, comfortable everything - couches, beds, clean bathrooms, kitchen.
The stocked fridge, they had everything, water, coke, diet coke, sprite, beer, potato chips, chocolate, other booze if you wanted. You can experience NOLA in a cardboard box and have fun or worse yet stay in some boring hotel or take a chance and stay in COMPLETE style. This place could not have been any better in my mind. John/Steve made sure we were all set, if we had any issues and checked in on us, just like all their neighbors were doing verbally/non-verbally, we knew we were being watched out for and it made us feel good to know that fact. Thanks guys, for making our trip to NOLA fantastic.
