Beautiful furnished 2 bedroom, master bedroom has king size bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, and 1 full bath. It is located on Esplanade Ave & Royal St in the French Quarter. Hardwood floors throughout, high ceilings, granite counter tops, stain …
Myself and two other guys stayed at this property for a low-key bachelor party and we could not have asked for a better stay. The thing I loved the most about this property was the location. It was only a few blocks away and a very short walk from the "party" area of Bourbon Street, so it has great access to the nightly fun, but is far enough away from it so that you can relax during the day and sleep very well at night in the quiet neighborhood it is a part of. Esplanade is also a major border street in the area that divides the French Quarter and the Marigny district, so if you need a break from the craziness of Bourbon Street, the Marigny district to the other side and nearby Frenchmen Street offer a more calm good time. The house itself has ample room and very nice furnishings. The beds are all very comfortable and the couch is quite nice as well for a nap. The two bedrooms are connected in that you have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the secondary bedroom, but there is a private 1/2 bathroom just off of the secondary bedroom so that anyone staying there has a bathroom to use without having to go through the main bedroom which greatly helps. The main bathroom is very large and impressive. We didn't spend much time in the kitchen as we ate all of our meals out during our stay, but it had very nice appliances and was very updated. It was also very helpful that everything you would need in the house is already provided, such as towels, linens, trash bags, toilet paper, dishware and cookware. The only thing we opted to bring in with us was some bottled drinking water. Overall I would say the value of this property speaks for itself. Many of the other properties we were deciding between had similar pricing for our stay, but had less square footage and only one bathroom instead of two. For what we paid I didn't see anything else come close in my search to the comfort that was provided from this property. I would recommend it, and would definitely stay again if I return to the area.
This property was beautiful with all the charm and architecture that New Orleans is known for. The location was great with easy access to many attractions and within walking distance of Bourbon Street. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting the New Orleans/French Quarter area.
I've been renting properties in New Orleans for Jazz Fest for many years now and its a fact that the Esplanade/Frenchman area is by far the best. Close to nice rest as well as all bar and show available during the festival. These house has the old school charm expected in Nola but with the right amount of amenities and upgrades needed to make your stay a wonderful and cozy one. We enjoyed tremendously the balcony as well as the comfortable bathroom and great kitchen, bedding and beds were very comfortable and clean as well. We had trash bags, paper towels, lots off towel, soap, shampoo...and simply details that were not expected but were highly appreciated. We were 5 ladies and felt very safe at all time (that is very important for us) We are looking forwards to renting this property again in future event and/or festivals and is highly recommended as well
The house was excellent. All amenities were available. Would recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans
Four of stayed in this home for Super Bowl weekend. We had a fantastic time. Walking distance to all the warehouse and French quarter sites and eateries. Home is well appointed and maintained. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again
This house is great. It's probably the best location in New Orleans....alongside the craziness of the Bourbon Street crowd, yet also next to Marigny, the newer, hipper scene around Frenchman St. The house is quiet, well outfitted and very clean. Overall, the house is very comfortable, and we were able to find parking most nights in front of the house with no trouble. Highly recommended.
Went to NOLA to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday. We wanted to stay in a house because it's more comfortable and makes you feel a part of the neighborhood. This house was beautiful, inside and out and very clean. Everything you'd want for an extended stay. Within walking distance of so much. The French Market, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and plenty of resturants. Don't forget about behind the house, Frenchman Street has plenty of jazz and good eats. The neighbors are very nice, an added bonus!
The house is beautiful and in a great location. The kitchen and bath were fully stocked with linens, dishes and everything we could possibly have needed. And they made it possible for us to take our dog with us on vacation! We hope to stay there again the next time we visit. Can't wait!
This was the most charming place. Loved everything about it. The home is comfortable, clean and located in just the right spot. We would recommend this place to our family and friends.
Love the fact that the kitchen was fully functional. The bathroom is roomy. No need to buy paper products, everything down to the laundry soap was there for our use. Now that's what I call New Orleans style!
My two friends and I had a great visit. The house has charecter and is nicely appointed. They provided all the essentials which is different from other VRBO rentals I have had (toiletries and toilet paper etc). The location is perfect as you are far enough from the heart of the quarter to be nicely quiet while being in easy walking distance. Additionally Frenchmans St which is just a few blocks away is a great place to visit with many music venues and restaurants. We found ourselves there every evening.
The only negative was the back bedroom's twin beds are on top of each other (you pull the bottom one out) but it wasn't a big deal as we all slept well.
Port of Call is a cool hamburger joint down the street which you should visit during the week as it is packed on weekends. We also loved Jacques Imo's which is a 20.00 cab ride away in Carrolton (I think). The Coffee Pot is a nice breakfast place as well.
The owners were easy to contact and helpful. I would recommend a stay here!
Four of us stayed here for four days over Christmas. The house is lovely, the rooms are spacious, and the posted photos are accurate. The kitchen is wonderfully well equipped--better than any rental I have ever stayed in. The owner was easy to work with and left very clear instructions about how things worked. The location is great --just on the edge of the Quarter. You can park the car and leave it for the duration of your stay and walk to everything. Owner provides a parking pass that allows you to stay in legal spots as long as you want instead of the non-resident 2 hour limit.
If you plan on cooking, there is a little hole in the wall market on Royal about 3 blocks from the house that is open 24/7. It looks shabby but has very good, freshly made take out and basic groceries and liquor. In the 800 block of Royal there is a Rouse Supermarket. It has a small street presence, but opens out in the back into a regular supermarket. The Riverfront trolley is about 3 blocks away from the house, too. The neighborhood felt safe enough to walk home late at night when we were there, although as a woman I would not walk home alone late at night anywhere in N. O. With another person I would feel okay about walking from the Quarter to this house.
The only drawback to the house is that to get to bedroom #2, you must walk through bedroom #1. This was not a problem for us as we were a family, but it might be awkward for some renters. The Quarter was fairly quiet when we were there and there was not a lot of late night street noise, but I would expect more at a busier time. However, the bedrooms are in the back away from the street.
The appliances are new. The heat worked. The WiFi worked. Everything was clean. Plenty of towels and linens. I would definitely stay here again. I thought it was a bargain price for what we got.
We stayed at this home late October, have been to N.O. quite a few times but this place made it our best trip. Close to all that the Quarter has to offer, gourmet kitchen for the times we chose not to dine out, private fenced rear garden area, roomy social front porch, cumfy furniture and cloud bed. The home was better than described, spottless and would recommend it highly
