My boyfriend and I had a great vacation in New Orleans, but we did have a few issues with this rental property. First of all, we were 15 minutes late to check in at 3pm, so the manager refused to come let us in and made us wait until 6pm, and she did not arrive until 6:45pm. Luckily the gate to the courtyard was open, so we tried to hide our luggage so no one would steal it and we could at least go for a walk. If not we would have been stuck on the street for over 3 hours! Completely poor customer service. Secondly, one evening there was a mouse in the condo! Luckily my boyfriend was ale to find a store with a mouse trap and we caught the mouse ourselves. We informed the manager, but nothing was done for us, Other then that, the condo was in a good location, but the bed is extremely uncomfortable. The only good thing I can say was that the manager did have some good suggestion on where to eat. I thought we were coming for southern hospitality, but definitely did not receive it. I am still waiting 2 months later for my secuirty deposit back! I use VRBO every year to book a vacation, and this was by far my worst experience ever. Everyone should go to New Orleans at least once, but just do not stay here.
Quaint. Clean. Plenty of room. Land Lord helpful and nice. Beats hotels if you need some room and want the REAL New Orleans French Quarter Experience. Nice living area, Full Kitchen. Big Bedroom. COOL courtyard. One block off of Bourbon St and about 5 blocks down from the action on St Peters. Only real problem is parking if you need to have a rental car. Landlord supplies residential parking permit, but parking in the Quarter is a problem for everyone! Once you find a space, stay there. Really, you can walk most places you'd want to be. I highly recommend this place. Would do it again.
The condo is very conveniently located, in the quiet residential part of the Quarter, removed from the street and extremely peaceful. It is comfortable and clean. A little dark, sure, but this is normal for a first-floor apartment. The garden with swimming pool is totally great. And the inhabitants of the surrounding condos (only 2 other condos are inhabited) are very very nice. A perfect option for whoever wants to stay clear of hotels and likes to live outside.
Oh my gosh! A wonderful one bedroom rental. Carol, you were wonderful and very helpful. We took you up on a number of your recommendations. The place is a great value and what a perfect location as we could walk to everything. And when we wanted some peace and quiet, back to the condo we went. We will definitely be back. Thanks. C & B
We were not able to stay at this dank, dark, moldy, musty and poorly maintained property. The smell was bad enough, but we also found what appeared to be black mold in one corner. The condo was dirty in general and the humidity was so high that the de-humidifier had to be emptied about every 8 hours. We also were surprised to discover old food in the refrigerator from including partially consumed bottles of wine and what seemed to be moonshine in an old liquor bottle with a handwritten 2009 date on the label There was an old pair of mens pants hanging in the bedroom closet. Some of the furniture was ripped and soiled and dust and debris was under the bed --including a dust covered antique phone. With all this my husband wanted to tough it out, but when we found what appeared to be blood stains on the covers and bedroom drapes, we decided to find another place to stay.
