Cypress Hideaway-Walk to St. Charles Ave.
Nestled in a quiet upscale neighborhood of Uptown New Orleans. Corner lot with 200+ year old cypress tree and towering magnolias.
Cozy apartment in rear of historic home. Private entrance thru brick courtyard. Spacious bedroom/bath with queen be …
My husband and I stayed here for a week and couldn't have asked for anything more! The accommodations were perfect and the location is exceptional. We brought our dog along and enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and to nearby parks/coffee shops - perfect vacation spot. We highly recommend the Cypress Hideaway!
There is no better experience to walk into your accommodations and feel like you just walked into your living room / home away from home. This a very clean and new rebuilt unit with a full kitchen right down to the washer dryer set up. The master bedroom is exceptional and the location is right off St. Charles Street....surrounded by the most beautiful mansions. Our daily walking tour was uplifting....especially to the New Orleans Coffee & Beignet store....A wonderful find and exceptional hosts....restaurants galore, cab rides to french quarter were abundant and the southern hospitality was right on the mark........the Corfee's are going back.
When looking for a fun, quiet girls weekend in New Orleans, I needed a place that afforded an easy location AND allowed an escape from the city. I didn't have to look any further than this property! The fresh flowers, fruit, and bottled water were an added welcome touch to an already fabulous place to call home for the weekend. My friend, a chef by trade, was in love with the well-equipped kitchen. The living room was inviting enough to relax and feel right at home watching a movie. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom in sparkling clean condition. There was plenty of closet space and struck a great balance between being cozy in ambiance but extremely spacious in logistics. The location was great and we were able to walk to nearby cafes, drive to downtown, and take the street car when we just wanted a scenic ride. The neighborhood is beautiful, and it felt like coming home to a tranquil escape from the excitement of New Orleans. I'll definitely plan another stay here again soon!
I am a military officer and decided to stay here for my first five weeks in town while I learned the area and looked for a place to live. The owners were amazingly helpful on the phone and when I walked in there was flowers and fresh fruit on the table. This place has everything you need whether its for the night, week, or month. I would recommend this place to anyway for sure. They are extremely nice people and are here to make your stay enjoyable. The location is great too; only one block away from the street car and access to the entire city. You will not be disapointed. Enjoy.
This was our 2nd time staying here & we had a wonderful visit! I could EASILY live in this rental property it was so comfortable & close to everything! We were in New Orleans for 2 weeks & felt right at home our entire stay. A short 1 block walk to the street car and we were a ride away from the Zoo, downtown, Commander's Palace, even to City Park! Walking the neighborhood was a real treat! We found historic cemeteries a few blocks away, we visited new, up and coming dining on Freret street, we toured the Garden District on foot. Staying here felt like living in a flat somewhere in France. The decor is lovely and the hosts are friendly & accommodating. The pictures & description of the property are spot on and really don't the property justice. We DEFINITELY will be staying here on our return visits!
Great location for anyone who is trying to find a place close to Loyola or Tulane. We came for Jazzfest and our son's college graduation and really enjoyed having a home base that felt like home! The owners clearly made an effort to make us feel welcome but they were not intrusive. The small touches like fresh flowers and nice linens were greatly appreciated. Much better than any place else we have stayed in New Orleans at a very reasonable price.
Everything has been said in the previous reviews. Clean, great neighborhood, convenient location and a great house. I would like to add that the location was a 20-30 minute trolley ride to downtown and the French Quarter and the trolley runs 24 hours a day. I didn't use my car the whole time I was here. This location is a short walk to Freret Street which has great dining. And the house has all of the comforts of home.
The house appears to be ADA compliant but the bed definitely isn't. :)
Great location, nice little spot and clean! Would have loved laundry capabilities, though.
I have come to New Orleans many many times and have always stayed in hotels. This was such a wonderful change. The apartment is in the wonderful Uptown neighborhood and is just LOVELY. Very clean, bright and spacious, all the amenities you could need, charming, authentic New Orleans feel, very helpful owners who responded to every email I sent promptly and efficiently, a lovely basket of fruit and water in the fridge upon my arrival. I would recommend it to a friend and would stay there again.
This property exceeded our expectations! Clean, quiet, comfortable, nice location and within walking distance to the street car, restaurants and shopping . We can't wait to return.
Great location . Walking distance to restaurants and streetcars on St. Charles Street. Charming old neighborhood close to Audubon Park. Really liked our clean and quiet suite/apt. Cannnot wait to return!
