My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this charming and quiet New Orleans apartment. We have a 16-month-old son, and we needed a place that was quiet and had plenty of room for him to roam about. This was the perfect place for us! Every morning I woke up and made coffee while our son played by the coffee table, just like we do when we're home. This truly was a home away from home.
The owners were wonderful as well. They quickly answered all of our questions and gave us great tips and recommendations. Traveling to various parts of the city was easy too, and there are many great cafes and restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this apartment and will definitely try to stay here again if we are ever back in New Orleans!
My family of four needed a place for the holidays in Uptown. We had more than enough space in the apartment. Having a kitchen was convenient with an infant. Street was quiet and easy parking. would be a great place to stay for Mardigras! Close to St Charles but far enough not to be in the crowd. Thanks Pat.
Four of my girlfriends and I had a super fun Halloween weekend here. We all meet in New Orleans once a year and really enjoyed staying in this cozy rental instead of a hotel as we have done in the past. The space was just what we were looking for and allowed for lots of relaxation time in the living/dining area and some warm sun on the deck. It was also really nice to have a full kitchen, stocked with a wonderful gift basket! We are all Loyola graduates that know the city well, and the condo is well located for bumming around Uptown and quick access to CBD and French Quarter with the street car only 2 blocks away. We had a great time!
Had a great long weekend - the house is centrally located in a good neighborhood. Walking distance to the streetcar - 3 blocks - and even Tipitina's. (We did use a rental car though for flexibility because daily rental prices were as cheap as a single cab ride - plenty of street parking). The owners are friendly and attentive. (Mailed me back some things I left in the room! -Thanks! ) Perfect for two couples travelling together - two bedrooms with queen beds (and a single in the front room) - new furniture, well-stocked kitchen and even a much appreciated welcome basket of wine, Zap's chips, and coffee. (Especially appreciated the first AM!). Very clean. The small balcony off the streetside bedroom was great for hanging out in the morning drinking coffee. We'll be back!
Our stay at this apartment was delightful. For me the best part of staying here was the great neighborhood. It felt very safe and was within walking distance of restaurants and the St. Charles streetcar. We had a car and found parking very easy. Our other destinations in and around New Orleans were just a short ride away. As others have mentioned the gift basket was filled with all sorts of tasty treats. The apartment isn't fancy but it is comfortable and clean which are the two most important features at the end of a day of activities throughout the city. Im already looking forward to staying here again with my family for my next visit!
We were in NOLA for first Tulane football game (both families have freshmen at TU) The location was ideal - close to campus, walking distance to many great eateries both on Magazine and Freret, plus only ~3 blocks to streetcar stop. The accommodations were comfortable, quiet and well appointed. One of our favorite things was evenings out on the balcony making memories.
This apartment was very comfortable and spacious in a lovely neighborhood. I would definetely stay there again. The owner was very helpful and welcoming and the location was perfect.
We spent a week in this lovely apartment with our daughter and her boyfriend. The rooms are large and airy, with all the comforts of home. Easy access to the streetcar on St. Charles and all the sights we had come to New Orleans to see. This is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed in. The owners were very helpful and always willing to take a moment to answer questions or just chat.
My husband and I were quite comfortable in this home. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient. The owners were responsive to our needs.
My friends and I stayed here for the essence festival. It was in a great location especially if you want to stay from the downtown frenzy. The apartment is a short walk to the streetcar. There was no need for a car we used public transportation all wee, but definitely allow time to get to wherever you go.. The owners Pat and Tony were very friendly and helpful, they were quick to answer any questions we had. They also had the porch lit with cute lights to allow the hose to easily be found at night. I would definitely recommend this apartment!
I took my daughter & her two best friends for a weekend trip before they all go off to college. This was perfect!! The owner emailed me letting me know we could check in early if needed and met us to greet us and show us around. The neighbor is beautiful. Just off St. Charles street with a great location for good eating off Ferret and a hop, skip and jump away from the trolley. Lots of local information was provided and came in handy.
The apartment was clean and the beds were comfy despite not being able to sleep much because 3-18 years are always on the go! We had everything we needed for our weekend stay. The kids all said they want to come back and stay here because as much fun as the French Quarter is, it's nice to be have a quiet place to go to at the end of the evening. :)
This is a must place to stay.
We came to visit New Orleans for the 1st time, with my family of four.
Everything was seamless in the booking process, owner Pat answered very fast, kept up to all commitments, and was very helpful to answer all kind of questions. At arrival, everything was ready to drop our luggage, and install ourselves 2 bedrooms available. The 'appartment' is upstairs, and has a charming little terrace, perfect for breakfast coffee.
The house is beautiful, set in a green and calm neighborhood accessible to French quarter by picturesque tramways. Nice restaurants are also available at walking distance. Inside comfort is good, and satisfied to all our expectations.
Thank you so much for making your home ours for these 3 days!
We enjoyed staying here and would stay again. Great location; a little off the beaten path but quiet and convenient to the streetcar, etc. A few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Pretty neighborhood that felt safe. Nice little basket of goodies on the table, fresh fruit, coffee, etc we we enjoyed. Lots of local info too. Our only concern (minor) was the deadbolt that had to be opened with a key from both sides (we just left one key in the lock when we were inside). Not spotless, but pretty clean. Furniture is new/fairly new but in good shape. Beds were firm but I slept like a rock--that firmness felt good after lots of walking. Did not see our hosts much but they were very nice.
I rented this property for myself and four friends for a bachelor party weekend in New Orleans. While the apartment itself is older, it is very clean and comfortable. The two beds were quite comfortable and my friend had no complaints about the couch pull-out bed. Best of all, the property is in a great, safe location. It was literally a 1.5 block walk to St. Charles Street were you can catch the trolley to downtown and the French Quarter. In addition, Pat and her husband (the owners) were incredibly nice and helpful. They provided us with a welcome basket as well as printed out information regarding nearby restaurants.
If you're looking for a swanky place, this isn't it. However, if you are looking for a comfortable, relaxed stay in New Orleans with older charms, I highly recommend this property.
My friends and I spent a long weekend at this property for Mardi Gras and absolutely loved it. Only a few blocks from the Napoleon/St. Charles intersection, it's within walking distance of so much, and the owners are right downstairs to offer suggestions of things to do and places to go if you have the need. The place is exactly as advertised, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a nice living area with a fold-out couch.
This is a lovely place to stay if you're heading to New Orleans, whether you're a family in town for some sightseeing or a group of friends in town to celebrate Mardi Gras.
Thank you for a great stay!
We were the first guests to rent this property. The neighborhood is nice and all of the furnishing in the apartment are brand new. The home is old but recently refinished and decorated nicely. The owners were very helpful and right there if you need them (they live in the space downstairs). They even left a very awesome gift basket for us with all things New Orleans! Lots of nice cafes and restaurants in the area. The street car is close, but be careful if there is a large event downtown - the street cars get full and taxis wont pick you up because they dont want to go uptown. We were there for Super Bowl - so that was my experience. Overall nice space for the location and price. Thx for the hospitality!!
