Luxurious and quiet 4-season condo - Ski-in/out mountainside location
Spacious and quiet four-season condo apartment in resort location with views of Lake Tremblant and village. The ski-in/ ski-out condo sleeps up to eight people and is positioned on the slopes of Mt Tremblant, with a piste-marked trail running behi …
The condo was a perfect size for our family of four. Parents got to sleep upstairs and our boys (ages 6 and 9) had a room to themselves downstairs. We even had friends over for dinner who were staying in a hotel in the village and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out. The condo was warm and cozy though we were bummed that the fire place was out of commission (as we understand was the case throughout Mt Tremblant). It was quiet at night and we would see deer cross the ski run behind the condo.
The kitchen set up was great and had everything we needed. Ianthe recommended a grocery to stop at on the way into town which was wonderful. We loaded up on food there and also bought wine and beer so we were stocked and didn't need to rely on the very small market in the village. We enjoyed using the grill on the deck which was not snowed in.
Unfortunately the dryer was not working when we were there. Once alerted the property manager and he determined it could not be fixed, he picked up a bag of dirty laundry from us each day and returned it cleaned and folded each evening. This was a life saver b/c we packed expecting being able to launder clothes.
The DVD players were not working when we arrived which was a bummer b/c our kids planned to watch movies. My husband fiddled a great deal and the property manager did as well. In the end, he had to bring in a replacement.
A caution on using the shuttle in March to get to the village. While the shuttle came quickly when we called for a pick up in the morning, which was great and only steps from the condo, the shuttle stopped running at 5 pm which left my son and I stuck in the village one evening when we lingered post-skiing. Luckily we were able to reach my husband and he picked us up in our car. We were happy to make the hearty walk to and from the village -- just not in ski boots. Our friends took a taxi from their hotel to the condo so that is another option.
Re ski in/ski out: our younger son (age 6) struggled on the ski out and after that we didn't attempt the ski in with him. Though he is capable of skiing blues, these were very narrow and icy. (He took off his skis and slid down.) From that day on, a grown up went with him on the shuttle.
Our friends enjoyed staying in a hotel in the village and walking out their door to the base of the slopes, but we prefered to have the space of the condo and not have to eat in a restaurant every night.
The condo was really nice and spacious enough for a family of 5. It was immaculate inside and well positioned on the complex.
We were nervous about booking this on-line but need not have worried. Everything was as we would have liked and we were well looked after by the owner (Mark) and his representatives on site (Mary and Shaun), both of whom were courteous, professional and very helpful. The condo is close enough to the village to walk in and out on an evening (uphill on way back sets you up for a good night's sleep!) without having to rely on the courtesy buses. (Try to avoid these at peak times!)... We did not make use of the ski in/out facility due to run conditions and variable skiing skills of our group. It looked ideal though just running by the back of the property.
Overall, we had a lovely time. The resort was beautiful, although some of the local workers in the bars and restaurants could be rather brusque and rude at times . If you are to eat out in the village (rather than cook in the condo) there is a very wide choice. Mostly the food was very well prepared, but quite expensive (as were drinks - alcoholic and soft).
Overall we had a great time.
It was our first time skiing in Canada, a drive from New Jersey. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys ready for a intense ski trip. We arrived to a snow covered, picture perfect condo. It was Cozy and warm also had everything we needed to either cook a full meal or just sit back and relax with a bottle of wine after a hard day skiing! We liked the information packet about all the things we could do, shopping and places to eat, that was really helpful as we got to do husky dog sledding, which was also great. The best thing that was really useful is the ski in ski out we had a very short walk around the back of the condo to a slop and skied down to chair lift and up to the top and off you go for the day. The only thing that was a little disappointing was we couldn't use the wood burning fire, we did understand why, but it would have been the icing on the cake!
Our group stayed for New Years and had a terrific time. Not too far from town center and ski in ski out is fantastic after a tough day on the mountain!
Just recently spent the weekend at Le Plateau with my wife. Aside from the weather that was rainy, damp and cold, the fire place kept us warm. The condo was absolutely a little chunk of heaven. The property manager Sean was excellent and informative. We spent our days by the fire, reading, cuddling and just simply enjoynig each others company. It was truly one of the best weekend getaways that my wife and I have had.
We will never stay anywhere else when we visit Tremblant, which we frequently do to ski. But this isn't just for a ski weekend either. I recommend the condo for any season.
The condo was clean, Mark the owner was so very helpful in pointing out to us what and where to do things. I would recommend this condo to all. But let me reserve my next week/weekend first!!!
A true gem, loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to get back there.
Thank you so very much Mark!!!

Never having booked a holiday online, we went into this a little nervously. What a pleasant surprise to have the entire week go off without a hitch! The condo is beautiful; very clean, warm, cozy and well equipped. There is a washer/dryer , one just has to have a little patience waiting for a load to dry. Plan carefully here. The property is exactly as shown on website, and the layout of the resort is very effective in both maintining privacy and enjoying the "hub" of activity. We went to the brunch on the summit via gondola, a spectacular view. The meal was not bad either. Our 4 children ranging between ages, 4 and 14, were happily amused with the bungee jump, the luge, the pool and mini golf. The only draw back is the expense of these activities and the long line ups. More affordable was the National Park about 45 minutes away. Glorious hiking/climbing trails. Some, even our little guys could do. Others, better left to older kids with more stamina. A good day for mom and little guys to stay home by the fire and read books. Bring your own books! In the Mont Tremblant Village, there are so many restaurants to try out. We need to come back just to eat! We did enjoy Spag and Co. Keeping in mind there are 6 of us, a little pricey, but for a treat, wonderful. The food was excellent, the service, superb and the host even paired off a wonderful wine to accompany our dinner. Explore the shops, even just to window shop. There is a lovely chocolate shop that makes delicious candy apples. That was a hit with our bunch. There are clothing boutiques, souvenir shops, of course, sporting goods and so much more. Nearby in St. Jovite, there is a larger shopping center with an IGA (grocery) that was reminiscent of a farmers market; very clean, well layed out and incredibly well stocked. If you are going to enjoy the fall colours, as we did, I would recommend to dress warm! and to go the week before we did; that is the week leading up to Canadian Thanksgiving. We had beautiful color for the first few days but then the landscape changed almost overnight.
Overall, our experience was wonderful. We hope to go back at least twice once to experience the skiing and maybe a summer season to do some more exploring and hiking in the park. The condo is a great central place to all of these things. We definitely recommend it to friends as a place to go to get away from it all.
Very quiet with all amenities, nice clean pool with convivial staff. We made wild encounters around the condo like young deers, cedar waxwings and more. The park of Mont-Tremblant is not far away with plenty of activities for adventure seekers. A minibus service is available from 10:00 - 19:00 hrs, offer free transportation to the Mont-Tremblant ski station and from there to the Casino. Very relaxing place, just sit on the patio and listen to the water fall sound and calm down.
We are a family of 3 and we enjoyed our trip so much.
The home was comfortable, very clean and in a perfect location.
We plan to go back!!
Stayed here in Feb 2009 (8-day stay), and had a truly wonderful time, with no complaints - the place is exactly as shown in the pictures. This was a perfect fit for our family of five (wife + I + 3 kids) - nobody wanted to leave!
Skiing was better than Vermont (we had stayed at Okemo, Stowe & Smuggs in recent years), even if it was a tad bit colder - just made it all the better skiing right to the condo at the end of the day, lighting a fire in the fireplace and fixing a nice hot meal. Kitchen had everything we needed - we just supplied the food + drink. Beds were all very comfortable, plenty of towels, linens and blankets were provided. Other pluses not mentioned in the condo description were a nice collection of DVD's, heated floors in kitchen and bathroom, playing cards and poker chips, and even a mini-ping pong set that worked great for evening fun at the dining room table!
Skiing is the reason to come here in winter, but there are plenty of other activities as well - we particularly recommend the snow tubing facility off Rt 117, which was tons of fun! The skating rink was also nice to have nearby. And the pedestrian village was a pleasant surprise - larger than I thought, and only about a 10 minute walk from the condo (bus was also available, but we only used it once).
Mark is a very accommodating owner - great with communication, and has a wonderful local support staff in Sean and Mary to help with any problems (like my teenage son losing a bracket on his braces, and needing to find a local English-speaking dentist!) We'll be back for a repeat stay soon....
