The apartment is located in the historical neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn. It’s a Lovely loft apartment with access to a beautiful backyard space. The apartment is fully furnished, fresh sheets and towels, coffee machine, Sleeps 2 c …
The rental is great, it´s comfortable and Eada is incredible and lovely. We found everything clean and homelike. You really have everything you need there. Eada is a very nice host and she helped us with all problems. @ Eada: "Thank you again for your big help...many hugs to you!!!"
We liked Brooklyn so much as well, also we have been a little bit shocked at the first moment. But if you don´t behave like a typical tourist and if you are nice there is nobody who is unfriendly. Everybody was hospitable and people said "Hello" when they saw us and talked to us. At sunday we have been to church and we felt very welcome there. We fell in love with Brooklyn and its people.
If we come to New York again, we would stay with Eada again.
The unit is very nice and is exactly as described and shown in pictures. The first night we were there I was stressed from traveling and couldn't sleep. As it happened, Eada had my favorite hot tea available in the pantry and it really did a lot of good for me to have this comfort 'from home'. Little touches like this and the first aid materials we found in the bathroom were very nice surprises when we assumed a trip to a store would be necessary. We had a few embarrassing little hiccups (like locking ourselves out late at night) in which Eada came to our rescue, calmly and very pleasantly (quite to her credit!). Thank you for having us. Hope we weren't too much trouble!
The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The weather meant we didn't use the backyard but it looked like it would be nice when the sun was out. The owner, Eada was friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable and we would recommend this as a good place to stay. The only downside was that the subway was a 15 minute walk from the apartment however we enjoyed walking through the neighborhood.
My flight arrived ahead of schedule so I went shopping for groceries trying to pass time. I went to the apartment early just to see if I could put my groceries in since I was early. Eada said it would be know problem and that I could go ahead and check in. She showed me around the place and pointed out where things were located and turned over the keys. The ground floor apartment was a welcome site for my bad knees, which was the main reason I rented it along with the great reviews from previous tenants. The apartment was very clean and cozy for my fiancee and me. Eada was a wonderful and accomodating host that could be contacted at anytime. I just hated that I disturbed her while she was out at the movies. Even though the apartment has a shared washer, there is a laundrymat right around the corner. There is also a supermarket around the corner and up two streets on Gates and their prices where the most reasonable that I found in Brooklyn. Beacuse my Fiancee was up on business I had plenty of time to enjoy the apartment. I was trying to get the DVD player to work so I had to call Eada again. Here she comes to my rescue and got it to working with no problem. I just hope I didn't disturb her while playing the movies. She has a Bose surround system and it makes it seem like you are in a theater. While I was only there for 4 days I saw alot. Went to Prospect Park, The Botanical Gardens even went and had my hair done. I found some great Jazz clubs one is the Blue Note own by Jazz recording artist Chris Botti. The night we went we saw Rachel Ferrell also visit Mahattan. There is alot to do and see but I would need more than 4 days and I would like to visit again when it isn't cold. I would definitely recommend Eada place as I had taken pictures the first night and sent it to some friends. Who said that it was really nice looking and when they come to NY they'll definitely will rent Eada place. I'll be back thanks for being a great host Eada.
We really enjoyed staying in this appartment. For 2 and even for 3 persons it is big enough. It is clean and cosy. The subway is only 10 minutes walk and even a bus to the airport is around the corner.
After a day in busy New York it is nice to go to a relaxed neighbourhood where it is calm and not so crowdy.
If you have enough time to spend, also take a walk trough Brooklyn. It is worth it.
I already recomended this appartment to some friends and i will keep it in mind for the next time i will come to NY.
Eada is a good owner. She is there for you when there are questions or need some help.
When you choose for this appartment, Enjoy your stay!
This studio-plus ground floor apartment fit the description provided. All the amenities were there and in good working order, clean and maintained. The washing machine is shared with the owner so there a shared hallway which the owner has secured with locks to insure renters' privacy. We felt totally safe and private there. Eada was helpful and easily contacted on her cell phone and a delight to visit with. We would definitely return there as well as recommend to friends/family. The commute into New York took longer than we had expected but that was in part because of our being there shortly after the Superstorm Sandy which affected public transportation and mobility limitations on our part. That the apartment is ground level was important to us.. We mostly visited Manhattan but would like to come back to see the Brooklyn sites close to the property.
Me and my daughters arrived just when the hurricane Sandy hade left the city. Through our landlord Eada we got all the help we needed. We really was lost on our first visit in the U.S. Eada even transported us to a transportation centre because the subway was closed
Eadas place is perfect in in respects. It felt like a hotel visit with bathrobes, slippers and all.The apartment had great beds, kitchen, WiFi and TV.
I was about to run the NYC Marathon but it was cancelled so when I will do my next try to run I will stay att Eadas place for sure.

We, a couple from Germany, stayed at Eada`s place for 7 days. Eada is a great host and provided us with everything we needed making our stay more than wonderful. The apartment is clean, spacious with a fully-equipped kitchen, a grocery store just one block away, It´s easy to get to Manhattan, the next subway station is ten minutes from the apartment. Compared to the tiny and overpriced hotels in Manhattan, Eada`s place is a must for travelers wanting to save some money as well a having a real NYC experience with lots of privacy!!!
We, a young married couple, had a great stay at Eada's brooklyn apartment.
The description Eada has provided is very accurate, a fully equipped apartment with a nice kitchen, WiFi, washing machine, TV etc. The backyard has recieved more furniture, incl. a tent. A great place to take a beer after a day of sight seeing. The bathroom could use some work but Eada told us an update is in the works.
Eada was a very nice landlord, very quick to reply to emails and had many pointers to local activities.
There were 4 subway stations with 5 subway lines in a 15-20 min walking radius. The Manhattan-bound line takes 20min to lower east side, 40 to central park. The walk to the subway is ok in the morning but after a day of sightseeing and shopping, not that appealing. Apart from the 15-20min walk, the neighborhood felt a bit sketchy at night. When we stayed out late, we solved this with a cab ride from Manhattan ($25-30).
All in all, we think this was a nice place to stay with the only downside the ~1h to central Manhattan. We could certainly stay with Eada again :)
