Can you imagine staying rock legend Jim Morrison's (The Doors) personal former home, known worldwide amongst Doors fans as “Jim Morrison‘s last known U.S. residence” and featured in Doors biographies, documentaries, television, film, newspaper and magazine articles, and internet websites? Now you can! The rock legend and poet resided there with his girlfriend, Pamela Courson, from 1970 — 1971. During this time, they never gave up the apt. when they left for Paris, where he reportedly died on July 3, 1971. Jim's famous "Rolling Stone" interview was conducted here. A séance with three world renowned psychics was held here in 2004. Cheri Woods gave an exclusive interview to "Current Affair" regarding Jim's alleged faked death.       Los Feliz Single with full kitchen - walking distance to Trader Joe's. It's half of 1940s house with a private entrance. There is a shared wall that's been sound insulated so you shouldn't hear much, if anything. It is a completely private unit with a separate entrance.

      Unit is a cute little 250 sq ft apartment located in the Franklin Hills area of Los Feliz - decorated a bit like a bachelor pad. We are across the street from Silver Lake and walking distance to lots of Silver Lake eateries and cool spots. The Los Feliz/Silver Lake area is a great neighborhood - there are wonderful movie theaters, restaurants and boutiques all walking distance. FOOD: Thai, Italian, Brazilian, Vietnamese, Armenian, Chinese, Japanese - all walking distance and most open late or 24 hours. Not to mention great pizza, burgers and bars!

      There are also cool art murals in the neighborhood.

      Occupancy is limited to two. There are no exceptions.

      This is a small place! That said, it's got a full kitchen with coffeemaker, kettle, rice cooker, microwave, and antique gas stove (although small), apt sized refrigerator and full sized bed and bathroom with shower. It has a private entrance and is close to great neighborhood shops and eateries. While the place has great wifi, there is a wifi cafe across the street but if you need to do heavy programming the internet connection may not be strong enough for you. It's fine for Skyping, or streaming music, checking emails, etc.

      PLEASE NOTE - we really want your stay to be a great one. This is a lively neighborhood, so it won't be quiet like the suburbs. If you need total silence in order to sleep, this little cottage would not be a good fit for you. But if relative urban liveliness/atmosphere is okay with you, then you'll be fine.

      Great public transportation in this area; you wouldn't need a car if you worked in Hollywood or Downtown LA. Close to Griffith Park, Hollywood, Disney Hall, Dodger Stadium and centrally located within Los Angeles.
