Would you like to be away from the hustle and bustle of central London but still have quick and easy access whenever you like?
Then this cosy double bedroom in a luxury apartment located in the award winning development, Royal Arsenal, east of Greenwich is perfect for you. This riverside development spanning 76 acres, is a former munitions factory & storage facility with a history dating back to 1671, that has been tastefully transformed to provide a blend of converted & new build residential properties, together with a central open space, bars, restaurants and shopping facilities.
The transport links are excellent too.
Woolwich Arsenal station (DLR and mainline), which is in zone 4, is a short 5 minute stroll from the apartment. From there, you can be in central London in as little as 20-30 minutes. London City Airport is just 5 minutes away on the train, and Canary Wharf and Stratford can also be reached in less than 20 minutes.
My favorite transport is the Thames Clipper riverbus service which docks right next to the development and provides a boat service to The O2, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, Blackfriars, The Southbank (Tate Modern) and beyond. This is one of the best ways to see London in my opinion.
For shopping, the town centre, which is 5 minutes walk from the apartment, is unbeatable. It offers an array of main street shopping, including supermarkets and a vibrant street market.
As far as leisure is concerned, a short ride in a cab, train or bus will take you to nearby Blackheath, Greenwich or, the O2 - where you will be spoilt for choice in terms of food, drink and nightlife.
The room is fully equipped with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. Clean bed linen and towels are, of course, included.
There's a slick kitchen with all the modern conveniences which you are welcome to use. A self-catering breakfast is also included in the price.
There are two large designer bathrooms in the property, one of which is available exclusively for guests.
The lounge is equipped with a widescreen tv and dvd player. You can also access the huge balcony from here which is especially useful for those warm summer months.
Hi-speed WiFi is available throughout the apartment.
There's also a 24 hour concierge service available.

<p><span>THE LOCAL AREA</span></p>

<p><span>OXFORD STREET, the premier shopping street in Europe is under a mile(1km) walk from the apartment. It is one and a half miles(2km) from end to end and is a shoppers paradise. Most shops open 10am until 6 or 7pm. Many also open on Sunday from 12 to 6pm with late nights on Thursday. Oxford Street is best known for Selfridges and the other big department stores which are all found in the section from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus, along with most of the big-name multinationals such as Nike, Primark, Topshop, Apple, etc. It's more of the same towards Tottenham Court Road, but generally on a smaller scale. Oxford Street is said to be the busiest shopping street in Europe.</span></p>
<p><span>The section of Edgware Road near to Marble Arch is famous for its distinctive Middle-Eastern character. Lebanese restaurants, shisha cafes and clubs line both sides of the road, with some staying open late into the night. Marble Arch station is a few minutes walk from the southern end of Edgware Road.</span></p>
<p><span>Just a short step away from the tourist hordes, the apartment still has the feel of a real neighbourhood, the wealthy residents are becoming ever more attractive as Harley Street, the traditional home of England's best doctors, has recently become the heart of the UK's flourishing plastic surgery industry.</span></p>
<p><span>The beautiful architecture (the Wallace Collection is a must) and the open spaces of Regent's Park and Hyde Park make this a fine area to have a wander, when the sun's out there are fewer places in London as scenic and special as Hyde Park.</span></p>
<p><span>While Marylebone High Street is absolutely charming, lined with traditional pubs, beautiful boutiques and shops (including the flagship Daunt Books) and excellent local restaurants as well as an impressive mix of hotels - and a farmer's market every Saturday.</span></p>
<p><span>A short walk from Marylebone is the home of the most famous fictional detective in the world 'Sherlock Holmes' bachelor flat at 221B Baker Street and the popular waxworks at Madame Tussauds.</span></p>

<p><span>The nearest underground station is Bounds Green and it's 5 minutes walk. It takes you to Central London (Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus) in less than 25 min.</span></p>
<p><span>Muswell Hill and Wood Green can be reached in under 15 minutes and they provide great restaurants with a variety of cuisines.</span></p>
<p><span>Alexandra Palace 15 min away has one of the most amazing panoramic views of London.</span></p>
<p><span>This area is quiet and provides one of the quickest to central London.</span></p>
